Depends on your skills and on the use you’re gonna make. For track and an experienced rider, the S is better. For street use the normal is just fine

Hello, great great bike, I actually own a Monster 696, I am looking forward an upgrade in 2020, but I am also looking at the Honda CB 1000 R 2019 or the MT 10 Yamaha... I am looking forward to get a modern naked bike. How does they compare to the 1200 Monster? Thanks @Axe991

I tried both of them, you can check my vids. There is also a brief overview in the video description. Among the three I liked the Yamaha the least. The base model has the braking and suspensions too soft for a sportier use. The cb and the monster are much more fun to ride. The Honda is a bit more comfortable than the Ducati. Also the Honda has more torque al lower revs than the Yamaha, but not as much as the Ducati. They are all incredible bikes, but I personally would not choose the Yamaha

@@Axe991 thanks! Of course I saw your videos! I wanted to get your personal thoughts... I do prefer the Honda and the Ducati and I love my "little" 696, I am afraid that the 1200 looks and feels too much the same except for the power and electronics of course... And the Honda seems a bit underrated... Did you notice big discrepancies in term of confort and consumption for a daily work/home commuting?? I use mine almost every day... Greetings, Thomas

Hey again. You said that you experienced some issues with the quickshifter. I've also read about it in the forums and will ask my garage tomorrow when I finally get the bike about it. What was your issue and how has it been resolved? Did you have any failures since then? Greetings

Hi! You have to be very decise with the movement in order for the DQS to work properly. And even in that case I have sometimes a long “hole” between 1st and 2nd gear (last time on track I headbutted my windshield because of this) and sometimes a false neutral between 5th and 6th. It’s not perfect in downshift either, so I usually pinch a bit the clutch anyway. But is it better without? Absolutely not!

I do not know if it's an issue with my bike in particular or with the system in general. After a crash I had to change the DQS, so I think that it might be the system in general, unfortunately. I cannot remember if there were any issues when I test rode the supersport though...

Nice man 🙂 I wanna buy one next month. 15 years ago my first Bike was a Kawasaki z1000 ...and after that i bought me a gsxr-r 750 k7. Its been 11 years now since i had a bike. Question for you 🙂 Do you think its managable and safe to ride such “monster” after 12 years not having a bike ? After al these years i consider myself again like a newbie ,you know 🙂 Thx.

Wow! You started with an old Z1000? You can ride anything you want! Getting more serious, thanks to the electronics it is manageable and safe, but you probably won’t enjoy it. I still can’t (and don’t want) enjoy it fully on the road, there’s just too much power. Maybe it’s best if you start with the 821? It’s just my advice, you have to follow your heart 😊

This bike has longer gears than you shift. It seems to me that you shift too quick -( or was that the QS error ?)...running to higher gears when not necessary, no? None the less, nice ride, nice sound. How are you recording that and what exhaust?
