Don’t you guys just look back and just think wow, us strong black women started this natural hair movement✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 years ago I hated my thick curly hair and always wanted my hair permed or relaxed. Now you see sistas embracing our beautiful curls now, I would never in a million years think of putting that damaging relaxer in my hair 😉❤️❤️❤️

It's nothing damaging about the relaxer.. It's how it's maintained. Your hair can be damaged even if it's natural. It's all about taking care of your hair!

I fucked up and put a perm in my hair because my parents have naturally straight hair (dad) and 3c curls (mom) lol I have 4b possibly 4c and used to be so ashamed but Idek why anymore. It’s so pretty to me and I miss it so much. I love how strong and resilient it was and that I could do so many styles and at the end of the day it would just spring back to shape 😩💕 I’m Afro latina so I get told I have bad hair a lot. My parents have grown to love my natural hair and stopped pushing for perms so now I just have to learn how to accept and love myself. I hope everyone can find that same love and acceptance 💕

This is my 3rd time transitioning and the struggle in trying to go natural! It’s not the process, but my mom stopped me from going natural the first two times because my hair didn’t look nice aka no longer “presentable” and I listened to her. Last year because of the panoramic I was afraid to be out in these streets so I didn’t get my 2nd relaxer for 2020 and my hair was thriving! It’s been a year and 3 months since my last relaxer and I don’t plan on going back to using one. I never wanted one in the first place and I was 14 when I had gotten my first one.
This is gorgeous, I think its amazing that your journey took only 1 year. Mine took two years but your hair is beautiful and this is definitely an inspiration for those still struggling through their journey.

Mines took only one year also . I flat ironed my hair two days ago for the first time to see how long my hair was and I was so shocked and happy and I hardly moisturize my hair , I just wash it and get it braided
I’m really mad Bc if my mom would’ve never permed my hair I would have so much natural hair Bc I had so much in elementary school and now I’m bald 💀

Nola Hill I know . When I first started to transition I had no patience at all. But after a month or so I had lots of patience. I barley wear my hair out because of different textures all over the place . So I usually do twist outs and other protective styles and they have helped a lot.

i has recently expressed to my mom how I wanted a perm and to my surprise ( growing up with a black mom ) she was completely supportive 😭 I’m almost 5 months natural and I’m still a little on the edge about how supportive she was 😭 not to mention my hair was being permed since I was 5 I’m 12 now but yeah I’m really liking how my natural curl pattern looks and this video helped a lot 😭 so thanks you 💕
I can tell your vibe is bomb afffff 😩😂 love watching your videos 💛🦋
Hi. Your hair is absolutely beautiful. I transitioned for 13 months then couldn't take it anymore. My twist outs ( with perm rods at the end) looked horrible and didn't last. I usually would just keep it twisted till wash day... thank goodness for quarantine😷. After growing out about 4-5 inches, I chopped the remaining 4-5 inches. And now I am loving it... even though it is much shorter than I planned to wear it. But my curls are poppin and I'm lovin it... so much so that I might keep it short or go even shorter. I figure I can't go wrong now... long or short, now that it's all natural. Good luck to everybody still in the struggle... it's real but results are so worth it. So Be patient.
My curls have fought to come back and I just now noticed it and I cut off the dead ends immediately! As soon as I did that I put a defying curl gel in my hair and there it was. My husband was like “Baby your curly jawns are back” 😭. I’m just so happy to see them I’ve been wearing weave since 7th grade and I’m finally going to go natural!
I just cut off my perm ends yesterday and I’m trying to get back Natural and this video just helped me thank you so much ❤️
subscribed off the intro alone!! "drop it!!"..love your hair by the way
I am so inspired by our young sisters who are natural. A beautiful generation. & Thank you to the mothers that toughed it out & didn't perm their daughter's hair.
Great info! Thank You! I looked into transitioning in 2010 but had so many BIG events, Weddings, Reunions, HomeComing & I did not want to wear Weave as Everyone I knew personally had been doing then to transition. So here I am again 10 years later during this Pandemic & NOT wanting to go into a Salon still, so I'll begin, again. Eventually I'll have to mask up & go get trims though, cause I'm not comfortable doing that.
I’m currently going through long term transition and these are really helpful steps and advise for me so thanks 😁💯 I’ve been transitioning since January this year and seeing curls in my hair gets me so excited 😆😝

So informative! Thank you so much and I love your hair and voice ❤️😍.. well said thank you!!
"Turn around, fry your hair" lmao😂😂
Thank you sis. I’m Just now starting my journey. I was working with my hair stylist. Got the permed straight ends slowly worked out and used protective styles as we conditioned but then Covid happened and I haven’t been back ( respiratory issues keep me sheltered). I’ve been wearing it in a pony or braids or just out. But I’m not ready hit the public. I have no idea what I’m doing or what to do next. 😭
OMGG I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS VIDEO IT HELPED ME SOO MUCHHH
Very informative. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for posting this!!!
I’m 14 and I used to get my hair straightened every few months for about a year, then one day I decided to get a chemical treatment to staighten my hair (i think it’s supposed to last longer ) but a month after I did that I realised a semi big patch of my hair started to fall out, luckily it stopped after I decided to get box braids. Then a few weeks after that it grew back to my natural hair state (as the rest of my hair was heat damaged). So to this day I have half natural hair which is not not long unless when stretched whereas on the other side of my head I have worn out straightend hair which is longer than the natural side of my head. I also did cornrows in my hair a week ago but the straightend hair appears longer and less thicker. How do I get rid of this? Thnx in advance 😩😚
B .E .A .U .T FULL. BLACKNESS IS AWESOMENESS. Show us girl✨

Great review I will be subscribing to your channel....I just cut my hair off last night and I appreciate your information!!!! Oh and by the way your hair is EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!
I’m 11 and I already have heat damage because of my mom and seeing this really helps I’ve been natural for over a month now on Monday it’ll be 2 months
Lol. The little Batman guy!🤗
I started transitioning July 2017 and after three months i started getting some curls again and my hair looked really nice. Then i straightened my hair for a special event and it KILLED my hair. All my right curly hairs that were repairing all turned loose and straight and thin. I was devastated and hated myself so bad. I then started dying my hair again cuz i just didn’t know what to do. But i haven’t straightened my hair since that incident. So i have trimmed my hair but my hair honestly just feels and looks way worse than i originally had it when i was straightening it like every two weeks (before transitioning). I honestly have been so depressed cuz my hair just looks awful to me. I just feel like my hair was born to not grow :( i don’t know what to do anymore
Very helpful, love your hair 😍
Great Advice ! Thank you gurl 💕
I subscribed I love that you made this video 😍
Hey!!! So I would love to ask after you do your twist outs, braids and all that do you comb out your hair? (the curls do they come off when you do?)
It’s been a year now since I started transitioning and I can’t wait!!!! I think I still need to wait another year cus my curls is up to my ears and the rest is relaxed😫 wish me luck in my journey I am trying to stay as positive as I can!! Cus I always get mental breakdown! Cus I hate my broken tooth and I feel ugly with my hair and face but ya.. Elhamdlellah
WHAT BEAUTIFUL HAIR THANKS FOR SHARING !!!.
Gorgeous😍😍😍
Thank for the information a lot of women need to hear this and need help I love being natural I need to do a video on my channel about my Journey
I liked it as soon as I seen the intro 😂❤️
Your a smart cookie hope your a future hair stylist. you will be great...
hair goals 😍😍😍😍😍😍
I decided that I was gonna start transitioning a couple weeks ago, because my roots in the middle of my head feel like they have a curl pattern, and I’ve never really used heat on my hair but I’ve been getting perms since I was little. It’s been hard so far because I have thick hair already, and I don’t have lots of products. I’ve got a lot of damage (practically all of my hair and my edges) but I hope to do the big chop some day. For now I’m just gonna start trimming off dead hair 😊
Im transitioning now and i always keep my protective styles in for about a month or two but my favorite protective style are weaves and wigs is that a bad thing? I think it might take longer for me to see results because with my busy life it's kinda hard for me to keep with protein treatments, deep condition, loc methods & wash days. What advice do you have for me?
Thank you so much for this video I now have so much more confidence in my journey also 💖

I love your hair texture
that’s exactly how my hair looks now! i’m trying to grow it back :(
I texturized my hair back in October 2018 and I just recently texturized in April. I have decided that I want to go back natural because I don’t want to keep getting texturized. I started my texturized hair because I was really tender headed but now I want to grow out my hair for about 2-3 years but probably not that long because my hair grows fast but I just want to go back to my 4b hair.
I NEED HAIR LIKE YOURS IT'S SO PRETTY!!!!
Girl, Cantu is heaven for my curls. I also use As I Am.
I went from a 2a to a 3a/b in 7 months, I am proud of my change :D
I was natural all the way until 5th grade I begged my mama for a relaxer because people use to stick pencils in my pig tails and laugh because they would get stuck...and my hair got long around the middle of my back but it wasn’t until 8 I feel in love with natural hair as of now I’m 10 months half natural(still have my relaxed ends🤕) I have been doing protective styles and as soon as I hit the year mark I and going to big chop I am 15 btw ❤️❤️❤️
I’m glad u made this cause I’m 10 and I’m going natural so I needed research on what products to save up for
