My Mom’s Hummus Recipe 😈
400 grams of chickpeas (15 oz)
150 grams sesame seed paste (5oz)
1 juicy lemon
Salt to taste
Cold water (around 1/4-1/2 cup)
Optional: garlic, olive oil, cumin, paprika
1/4 cup ghee
1/2 lb lean beef
Salt to taste

    Thank you!!! I've made hummus a couple of years ago. But the recipe called for me to take off the skin off. Freezing it is so helpful. 😫 I was tired of taking off the skin and getting nowhere.

    0:36 sorry for being annoying but i have my chemistry exam soon so yeah baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate/ sodium hydrogencarbonate (NaHCO3) is alkaline in nature thus giving a bitter taste when added to food. to prevent this, a small amount of tartaric acid (weak acids) can be added to it since they will neutralize each other out. this compound is now baking powder, which is added in cakes and other baked goods.

    Actually you might wanna try to process it warm, I like the texture you get from doing that.... And it warm just makes it tasted better in my opinion!

    Darling you are just killing me.. thank your mommy for so many reasons🙏🏻🙏🏻💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 Where I live they actually have a drive-thru hummus place called King Harvest.. they sell to whole foods etc restaurants etc in town but you can also just pull up on them at their shop and it is no joke🤤 I prefer to make my own 😉 but I also enjoy being lazy and buying others products on occasion.. (Thank your mama for those eyes and that skin and your hair and those lips and those shoulders biceps eyelashes you have those paws 🐾 ahhhhh.... You're too pretty it's hard to pay attention I have to re-watch just to see the food ...you should be a model or something 😻🥵)

    Subtract the cumin and add one clove of garlic and garnish with paprika or cayenne pepper. That would be my recipe. :)

    When I was in Saudi I seen it done without olive oil, I think it would only be put in there if it’s for the day use only. Then you had the fat from the beef and butter; Salaam ✌🏾

    You don't need to do that. The baking soda along with cooking the chickpeas for a few hours helps the skins break down.
