I am old enough to remember when the first Fish sandwich McDonalds put out was made with COD then they went to Haddock then to the cheap Pollack. Yeah the fish sandwich you get at McDonaalds today is just a shadow of those first ones I ate as a teenager as well as the french fries which back then were 100x better than the ones they serve today!

Yes, back then they fried everything in beef tallow, when they switched to vegetable oil is when all their fried stuff went downhill.

As a kid, the Fillet-O-Fish meal is the only thing I would get from McDonalds. I haven't tried the Big Mac until I was 19

This used to be my staple when I was a student in China. I miss it but can’t get it here in South Africa. Thanks for this❤

Made it today 🎉 JazakumAllah bro Added some Indian spices to both to both the dry flour and the wet better I added salt black pepper garam masala chili powder and add red kashmiri chili powder to the batter alone with curry powder

Since I’m Muslim this what i would always get. Only the filet o fish, my favorite sandwich there even when I got to try the other ones.

Filet-o-fish is literally my favourite burger of all time, no matter where I eat at. I can get wraps at other places but when I go to McDonald's I only get this. I have tried everything as we several halal ones here (Melbourne), but hands down always that's what I eat.
