My man is more powerfull and emissionel than Don't rain on my parade, she does both to perfection :-) I love both of them, they are on my top ten of best Glee songs :-)

She does both exceptionally. But Parade is more instinctively associated (rightly) with Barbra and her original interpretation of it is definitive, and for that reason Lea's while great is never going to be quite as impactful. My Man however is an actual Fanny Brice song, essentially *her* song, that was incorporated into Funny Girl, and therefore is less fundamentally associated with Streisand which is probably why Lea's take on it carries more heft.

I’m a random nobody. I’m a ER nurse who listens to a little bit of every kind of music. No musical background. I’m not an expert on broadway but I really appreciate great voices and songs like this. Her demeanor while singing, the humanity in how she expresses her emotions in the song, how amazing! Before watching this clip I was watching 90’s music videos which lead me to Christina Aguilera clips then her Spanish songs which I somehow starting thinking of that glee mashup when they sing songs in Spanish and now here I am. Now I’m about to watch some broadway and I have no idea where that will lead me next on this musical journey lol

Why I love Rachel. She probably knew this song like the back of her hand and practiced day and night for this moment. But when she performs she pours all of her emotions and heart into her singing, you can literally feel her pain and love in her performance. Makes me wanna cry.

Barbra has such a signature/unique voice, it's kind of hard to picture anyone covering her as actually her. Same with Lea actually, but Lea sounds like Lea. Not Barbra. The single great vocal performance in the history of Glee. It's just...flawless. I can't even fathom how someone can sing like that, it's remarkable. Lea Michele is the best singer to come along in a long time.

this is her best performance for me! this is the most vocal control I've seen her use

I watch this performance religiously

One of her BEST performances!! It legit gives me chills still

This woman can really sing and you can be happy or cry with some of the songs she sings. Gosh, that is rare talent.

She amazing

The vocals, the incredible acting and emotion, both in her voice and on her face. No other performance in Glee came close to this, and the best thing is that Lea can sing exactly the same as this live.

I love this song!, and Lea Michelle sings it so well

It reminds me of me and a friend I had in school. Our friendship was so complicated because she was so beautiful. But we supported each other as high school drama classmates. She was ambitious but humble to everyone around her. I lost contact with her for a while. But after we graduated we agreed to stay friends.

Seeing this after her closing show for funny girl on Broadway is insane!!

I can’t fault this performance at all. It’s like when she sings, she just lets her soul do the talking. That last note was perfect.

Six years later and I finally understand why tears pool in my eyes when I watch this performance.

The fact that people can praise Santana for being absolutely hateful and hate on Rachel is truly hypocritical because Santana always goes out of her way to be a witch with a B and never changes where is Rachel yes she does stupid things but she apologizes and makes it right.

Santana was a bitch. Couldn’t stand her even if her plot line with her coming out was pretty incredible. Rachel, Mercedes and Santana all had diva attitudes and I hated it.

Honestly, the fact that people have no problem with Santana being her usual spiteful self in front of arguably the best performance of the entire show, and still go out of their way to point out Rachel's arrogance tells SO MUCH about them. That's crazy.

@@jasminethomas5801 also when Rachel sang Without You to Finn in Wills proposal episode because she was sad that Finn didnt see that she was always gonna be there for him Santana had to open her big mouth. I get there always has to be that one character but why cant Rachel sing a love song to her boyfriend. Santana even looked like she enjoyed the song. She thought of Brittany so I dont know why she had to open her mouth. I also dont know how people like her. She is so rude and when someone insults her she cries but doesnt care if she hurts anyone elses feelings. Rachel berry looks like an Angel compared to Santana. Santana also went after Funny Girl. Rachel had every right to move out even tho it was her apartment that Santana was living in. I didnt see Santana paying rent. She slept on the couch. She didnt get a curtain wall. That should say something. They ruined her character development in Season 5. In season 4 she was kinda likeable then she went after Rachel's dream with her most iconic song. Brittany was way to kind to be with Santana. (Sorry about my rant)

Santana made being a bitch way funnier than Rachel's whole "I'm an ambitious girl so I can be as annoying as I want and throw people under buses" storyline could ever hope to be. Plus what Kurt did is not what happens when you see someone auditioning for your same gig. Plus Jesse was biased towards Rachel and so Mercedes and Santana had all the right to be pissed off.

@@nativenewyorker3144 and yet, he let Jesse straight up offend the three of them without saying anything 👀 plus the whole show is about Mr Schuester not being biased at all towards Rachel, isn't it? They had all the right to be mad about the only occasion they had to be considered being just another scam in Rachel's favor.

Actually one of her best solos shes ever done!!! Like she has some other amazing solos that sometimes can actually make me cry but like... just the emotion and the way she hits those notes it`s absoloutly amazing.

it’s amazing how not only can she sing the song extraordinarily, but she can put so much raw emotions into it
