Thanks for the video James. . On 24th February, I camped over night below the south ridge of Carn Dearg, it got down to around -12. My water and energy drinks froze, but my whisky was fine. I was between knee and waist deep in snow, took the wrong route, over the ridge, instead of the Corrour track, it was up and down hundreds of ft in the snow, made it to Carn Dearg, but Sgorr Gaibhre was out of reach due to the effort of deep snow, legs like jelly and the breeks full of snow. The ruins of Corrour are an old sanitorium and the stone was robbed by the lairds for a shooting lodge by Loch Ossian. ATB, Angus

No such thing as a bad day out. Anyway, a bad day in the hills still beats a good day in the office!

@@ScottishMunroJourneyHi James, I recall doing a circular route from the south inc a corbett on the return. The views are extensive on a clear day, the Blackwater reservoir pointing towards the Mamores&Glencoe etc.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

James, your objective is to bag the Munros - and that you did, very impressively! Yeah, its a shame it was so cloudy, but that's just how the cookie crumbles sometimes. At least it wasn't 🌧 or ⛈!!

You can hardly call that bad luck James. It was nae a bad day at all. It just shows how used you are to amazing days. If you look back at some of your earlier videoos you'll remember that you have had far worse than that. It is variety that counts.

Stunning video James. I've not had a chance to do much munros this year juggling family life etc. Done 1 that is Stuc a'Chroin via the Corbett beinn each. As I commented on your Instagram page am hoping to go to torridon soon if the weather is right. Good luck on your 43 munros to go. Love watching your videos. Gives me the encouragement to get out their. ATVB Alan

Did these two along with beinn na lap as a circular from Corrour with a pint and a bite to eat between trains at the station. Was a great day in a remote area .

Nice one 👍 Nobody wants you to have bad weather what are you saying 😅 I did those hills on an icy Feb last year ( god that feels like 10years ago 😳) -7c at the car park, walked all the way.. I also did the Corbett first, and that was way harder than the Munros ... I came off your first munro along the ridge going south and I thought that was the nicest walk of the day... Your second munro has great views , over to Ben Alder.. Did it 6hrs 30mins

Chances of someone travelling 5-6 miles from an already remote road just to nab a bike is insanely unlikely and hikers themselves are too decent for that sort of behaviour

I’m always checking Met Office recently.. pretty much every weekend and it just seems way to windy or its always pissing down or snowing!
