My "Location Independence" Plan for 2024

I’m back! I’m excited to be making things again here in 2024.
Look forward to the next episode in this series where I will be sharing my experience attempting to freelance as a video editor.
This video is an introduction to a new series, documenting my process of becoming location-independent. We have some BIG travel plans for this year and making money online will be necessary.
One of the first things you need to do when aiming for the “digital nomad” lifestyle is to identify a monetizable skill that can remotely provide value to people/businesses. For me, that is going to be Video Editing, but for you, that could be digital marketing, social media management, pet therapy, the list goes on.
I show a quick video editing portfolio piece, then I talk about where I’ve been/what made me want to make videos, and where I’d like to go with this channel moving forward.
Thanks for watching!

The footage for the Apple Watch Spec Ad was shot by Mitchell & Stephen at @TMSProductions for an editing competition they did in January. I cloned their voice with their permission using the AI tool Speechify.
I made the intro/title scene graphic in Adobe After Effects based on one made by Skyler Drew (Insta - @skymography) in the free lessons from the “Frame by Frame” course he made with his brother Nathaniel Drew (@nathanieldrew) You can find them here: (www.nathanieldrew.com/frameby...)

Brilliant editing and camera work. I'd say, the swivel chair going side to side is a bit distracting, but who am I? I don't have a KZread channel. I think slow travel is the schizzel and many couples are doing videos about this that have a fraction of your camera and editing skills. So I predict you'll do well. I subscribed, swivel notwithstanding. Looking forward to more.

Thank you! I’ll keep the swivel in mind going forward, I can see how that could be distracting. Thanks for the feedback and support!
