Seems like his own parent's relationship is the biggest influence on Jungkook's obsessive behavior and tendencies, like most children. It's sad that most parents go their whole lives being unaware that their behavior, as an individual and a spouse, affects their child. Most parents assume that being "good" to their kids (i.e. providing them food and shelter) is enough but they don't understand or purposely ignore how CHILDREN SEE & FEEL EVERYTHING! Not only as a parent, it is very important to show your children what a healthy marriage looks like because their perception of relationships is formed based on that period of their life - so much so, that they can't change any bad habits developed due to their childhood despite being aware of it! Growing up in an abusive household myself, I am hyperaware of my actions and behaviors and try my best to rectify and control such habits. I really hope that Jungkook and others like him are able to self-reflect, heal their wounds and lead a happy life with their partners. Fighting!

I think as a daughter, i may dont have my own family, every parent wants to be perfect in the eyes of their children but let us accept the truth of life that there is no such perfect parent, spouse or a child and its normal to feel like this or any emotion because we are human beings and can adapt the way of life in every different and unique way. Because even psychologists, motivational speakers have their own shadows to struggle with and just happen that survive by just accepting what it is and moving forward with new and positive perception in life .

The way he quietly gasped and put his hands to his face LOL 12:50 I have never seen him that shocked before

He always talks about L.A. and now that he mentioned living in L.A. opening his own gym. I feel like this is what his heart wants and just something is holding him back. Maybe the variety shows like this and running man, how many years is he with these shows? I can just imagine how hard it is for him to part ways with the people he works with for YEARS! OR he can't just leave his parents, especially his mother 😓 I hope he takes a break from work and just spend time for himself. Wishing the best for him! ❤

He needs someone who's patient and kind, someone who can love him with all his flaws, who can help him heal and leave the past behind. He needs someone who can make him see that if his parents, especially his father doesn't want him to be like this and that his father did what he did because everyone has different ways of surviving. We all know that they don't have much growing up that's why his father is so frugal. He should stop hating his father and blaming him that he's like this because of him. Instead, he should aim to be better that his father without hating the old man.

You can tell there is a part of him that really wants to do that, open his own gym in the United States (ie. California), build his business and welcome gym members. This would definitely bring him happiness but as far as a wife and kid(s), he seems "lost" in that respect and just says he's saving for his future but that appears to be more of a distraction versus a goal. He's too obsessed with working out and we all know that. His other passion of singing and appearing in variety shows is what makes him work non-stop. I hope nothing for the best for Jung Kook in the future and have grown fond of him since I started watching him on RM a few years ago.

like i said before, the way he treat his mother already shown that he will treat his wife the same, he said he hate his father doing it to his mother but he also did it with his mother... he literary unconsciously snap when his mother take a little to much paper towel before. he may want to treat his mother differently from his father, but sadly he took over his father behavior deep down in his pocket.

@@ZA.F.B. that will be hard, like on this video said, he think what he do is a "just". and he has disposition to control person in his circle, maybe at dating or early marriage he may able to suppressed that mentality, but sooner or later it will shown, a little by little until he release all the brake. since in his mind what he does is a "just" or right and the other person is wrong. he will start it with a little nagging until to the point he will snap because a little of it. and in a relationship that kind of behavior is tiring, especially to the partner who doesn't have the same mentality.

Therapy will be beneficial for KJK oppa, I hope he continues to find out more about his inner self and help himself overcome his trauma

As trainee clinical psychologist, i can explain something. The psychologist did a DAP test (Draw A Person). this test show individual personality/character and also major points. which could be positive or negative but the drawing shows that character repeatedly. that why psychologist said: all drawing showing obsession.

This was hilarious and super sad at the same time!😢😅

Dude is so similar to me it's scary. I don't have the same obsessions but I'm really thankful he put this out there and it really makes me reflect on what I'm doing in life.

Knowing yourself could be interesting, but it could also be sad. Same like jungkook, i've been asking myself the purpose of me living today and what i will become in the future.

I have the similarities obsession like Jong Kook organized one time i got home from school trip and found my room so clean and i got stress things supposed to be here not there. And about can't throw things i still have my note book when i was elementary school. I can't bare myself to throw it away they have so much history. Read those handwriting some of that i can remember what is the mood and behind the story of it

Wow, very interesting. It’s crazy to think your living well and working hard but for what purpose. What will you have to show for all the hard work. Very powerful! I don’t even care about his marriage. Of course I’ll be very happy if he gets married but I’m more worried about his mental health. He complained of mental fatigue and how he doesn’t have any purpose in life. I really hope he overcomes those obsessive thoughts( get help if necessary), before deciding to find a partner or get married. That way he’ll be able to fully commit to his partner and family. The question of choosing between mother and wife is not as easy as just saying. You need to really imagine the situation and decide. and it's really hard to choose your partner over parent especially people like jungkook who might think his father might not "save" his mother.

I don’t think it comes down to not saving his mother but realizing that the person you choose as you life partner has to be your priority. Regardless of how bad you can feel for parents or someone that you feel is more helpless. Not having your spouse as your clear priority will only make it worse for everyone involve. I don’t think if we did a survey you would find any couple thriving who put their parents or even kids first.

But my mother sacrifice her youth, put aside her dream, hold on to bad marriage and bad husband, give her everything literally everything to raise me for 35 years. She literally almost die for me too in an accident. Yes, I have a partner that I choose but I know for a fact that my partner wouldn't sacrifice as much as my mother did. Not even close. People think it's easy to choose but my partner did not work 10 hours on hot street selling food everyday with critical disease, he did not put up being beaten just so I don't taste any. As much as I love my partner, his love could never be half s close as my mother. Now tell me would it be easy for you to choose your partner having seen all of this? I'm sorry but to me, there's nothing greater than mother's love. If the mother is bad, that's a different story but raised by a great mother, it makes sense that it's a hard choice. Mybe because I have an immigrant mother and I'm the first child there's nothing that can makes me feel like saving my partner more than my mother.

This hypothetical question has a simple answer, assuming both wife and mother have the same physical fitness and swimming ability, and everything else is the same, then yes saving wife first would be the correct answer. It means if you decide to get married, you have to give up some things to a certain extent, like your relationships with your parents. (I'm not saying giving it up totally, just to some extent). You wouldn't be able to be as close and attached with your parents as you do when you're single. Like what the psychiatrist says, you choose your spouse, you have the responsibility for your choice. If I feel it's impossible for me to give up, not getting married would be the right answer. I DON'T HAVE TO get married. Getting married while still prioritizing your parents over your spouse wouldn't be wise.

Interesting episode. Makes you think about your own life and personality traits and styles. It's really hard to change or let people in when you've mostly been single and independent and only depend on yourself. It's also hard for others to let you slowly open up and be open to that because people are not as forgiving as you think they are even though you're trying. It's too hard of work for them. I understand KJK and why he is the way he is (from what we see on TV). He has a goal move to LA, open gym. He can do both! Hire people he trusts to run the gym when hes away and work in Korea...surely he can make it work. I want that for him and to find a spouse who can be that support for him. My only 2 red flags were saving your mom vs wife and "getting involved" in parents tiffs. But those can be fixed upon further reflection. Lol. We all know the answer is save your spouse, esp if you have kids.

I am also not too worried about him! At least he realized his father's mistakes and is becoming aware of doing the same things. Thus, he can avoid him. He just needs a patient partner that really expresses her feelings. This way no misunderstandings occur.

FINALLY, Sungmin sees what I see! It's okay to admit when you have a problem. the worst thing to not acknowledge this problem and want to fix it. People will use "I'm not weird, I'm unique." Believe me there is someone out there exactly like you and the only thing unique about you is your DNA and fingerprints. It takes a real mature person to say, "I have a problem and I want to fix it." it's just sick to compare those two things. You choose your partner but you don't choose your mother. It's actually stupid to be "thankful" for you parents, because they brought you into this world. You owe them nothing but they owe you everything

It is just example, psychological example, this question takes into account that both parents are alive and married, the assumption is that your mother is saved by your father (her husband) and you save your wife, because you chose her and she and your children should be your first priority , not your mother. I adore and love my mother more than anything, but my wife and children come first. I was born and raised by my mother, but I chose my wife to spend the rest of my life with. It's normal. It doesn't mean that I don't worry about my mother, but if she was my first, then something wouldn't be right with me.

This make so much sense. I understand KJK personality much more now. He needs to kept talking with this guys couple more times for check up. Am sure everyone has this problem. When you kept doing this one routine for a long time. Its really hard to break this habits. This is why, he need Somin. She would take him out somewhere and have a break from work.

I think you didn't understand the true essence of the question. As the doctor said he will save his wife because he knows his father will save his mom. When a man or a woman gets married the wife or the husband should be the priority. Because if not the marriage will not be smooth . You will understand that when you are married yourself.

Maybe Jong Kook did not have enough love as an egg. That is quite sad. He seems very defensive sometimes, even with his friends on the show.
