Spend all the time you can Katie with your Daddy. The years fly by fast. And by the way don't lick that yellow icicle lol Love yall and God Bless yall.
It warms my heart to see you living each day with joy and community ❤️
I started watching your series thinking I'd watch for amusement. Watch me some Appalachian's and have a laugh or two. Maybe even feel a little 'superior'. I never laughed. First I was curious. Then intrigued. Then riveted. Now I feel more than a little envious, and the opposite of superior. I've never witnessed a lifestyle more grounded. More rooted to & respectful of this planet most of us take so for granted. And even abuse. While we buy, consume & waste so much, rarely giving it much of a thought, you & yours garden & hunt & gather. What you consume is planted, nurtured & harvested. You catch your fish & hunt your meat. Home grown. Hand made. Home cooked. No wonder you are so in touch with, and appreciative of, this planet we all share and it's resources. Thank you. While I didn't get the laugh I expected, I WAS entertained. And informed. The rest of us could learn so much from you. So please keep posting, and we'll keep watching. And learning...

Thank you! I'm thrilled I was able to give you a peek at the goodness that abounds in Appalachia 😀
Enjoy your dad! Mine was gone WAY too soon😢Thank goodness I know he loved me❣️one of my saving graces is that I know that… miss him soooo much.🥰
It’s wonderful to see Matt and Katie together. I didn’t get to spend much time with my daddy, he passed right after I turned 17. Here’s a funny thing…I could fly to the moon but climbing up that tree is going to be a hard NO unless there’s a big stash of money at the top and my children need it for medical reasons!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

That’s me too. I lost my daddy when I was 11, he was my hero.
The tallest tree I have climbed is about 45 feet, to put up a TV antenna for my grandparents. The tree was near the top of a mountain in Eastern Kentucky. The view was amazing. There's a cliff side near where they lived that would get huge icicles , some reaching the ground making ice pillars.....
I never had greens I liked until I worked in a city hospital in Jacksonville, FL. The cooks were older neighborhood ladies and they could sure cook greens. They made the best fried chicken I’ve ever had, which was served every payday. Fried catfish and cheese grits were on the menu for breakfast every Thursday. Of course the MBAs came and brought in a commercial food service and that was the end of something very good. I’ll always be grateful to those ladies for their cooking which was truly from their hearts, and for teaching me to love greens.
I just can’t wait for spring. It’s been -16°c to -25°c all week. I just want walk outside without freezing. Thank you for the video. I’m always learning new things on this channel and loving it!😊🇨🇦
That is just beautiful country out there!
Saturday March 5th, about to enjoy my first slice of Sweet Orange Pull Apart Bread!!! Thanks for the recipe and my wife for making it for me!!
I think this is the first time seeing this video…so scary but love every bit of it…your Daddy is a very brave person…so glade he is out of the tree…as I have said so many times, I could listen to the music all day. Love working around the house listening to music.
that is the neatest deer stand, tree climbing system I have ever seen. God Bless you and y ours. live the music!❤🙏❤
My daughter Katie and i watch your family every chance we get ,as a matter of fact I'm on my daughter's phone now. Lol I think it is precious that you spend time with your dad. My dad has dementia now and fortunately he still knows us ,but I know the day is coming and it won't be long he will not remember me. You brought a smile to my face and it made me think of all the times I spent with my daddy, especially fishing. Lol God bless y'all

So glad you enjoy our videos. My heart goes out to you and your dad.
That’s my kind of breakfast! I’m blessed to have a wife who loves to cook and serve it up country style. Those greens look like they are going to be really good. Signs of a spring coming are showing up, but still some more cold weather to come. Thanks for sharing the “ day in the life of” videos. God Bless and be safe. -Tennessee Smoky .
Boy, that deer stand was way up yonder! I don’t think I could do that. That breakfast looked yummy as always! Katie, I love your narration! ❤️ always enjoy the music! Y’all are great! Much love from SC, Jane ❤️🙏🏻
God bless all here. Love your down home sharing. I'm sitting here in north central Ks. Within a few miles of two large waterfowl reserves. I'm listening to probably thousands of Sandhill cranes flying over with their distinct voice. Also a good many geese. Great sign springs is closer! ☺☺☺☺
Katie, those icicles were so cool looking! And so much good food Tipper 😊 I imagine the sound of that creek is a comfort to all of you who grew up near it. Enjoy the music as always

I wonder can you hear the creek at your house?
Again, love this type of video! A day in the life in Appalachia!
My Mama always mixed her turnip greens and mustard greens. She would fry streak of lean, make potato salad, and cornbread. We ate that many times for supper here in North Mississippi. I still eat that exact same meal today.
Won't be long for spring turkey season and ramp digging. Great video, God Bless.
Lots of variety in this episode. Really enjoyed watching Matt tear down and pack out his tree stand. Except for waterfowl, all of my hunting has been done standing on the ground, so this is the closest look at a tree stand I've ever had. It was great to hear the family band end the video with Ruby in the Kitchen.

@@CelebratingAppalachia I enjoyed this video! Like Noah said, “lots of variety in this episode.” I laughed at Katie going with her daddy to take down the shooting stand. Did the icicle make it back to the house to show her sister. That was sweet! Tipper, your food looked delicious!

Watching Matt up the tree was a little nerve wracking. You are such a lovely family! 😊
Oh my.Every time I watch seems like you are fixing something in those cast iron skillets.Makes me hungry even after supper when I usually watch!!
Great song. I enjoyed this tune! God bless all here.
I saw her video about the poppies. My neighbor has them growing in his lawn! Biscuits & butter & honey. Yum. Comfort.
Loved this format.... good to see a little of Paul.
What an awesome video… I loved, loved, loved it!!! Such a talented, true American family. Just love you guys!

One of your best videos! Thank you!
The food looked so delicious! That is one of my favorite meals, and I like to eat breakfast for dinner sometimes too. Thanks for sharing all of this! ❤️
Awesome video! Im happy to see the gardening coming back. The tree stand was interesting and ingenious. Appalachia is it’s own beauty! 🌱
It is good you go things with your dad. I can remember going almost everywhere with my dad until I was about 20. He worked at Dayco plant so I couldn't go there, but, he also had a drywall business. I did go to drywall jobs and helped. I was a daddy's girl. Tipper your breakfast and cinnamon bread looked delicious! I love mustard greens also. Thank you and your family for letting us have a part in your lives. God Bless all of you.

Thanks Tipper. I always enjoy these little peeks into y'alls life. The woods and the creek are beautiful.
Most excellent job of editing/producing! Wow
Some of your best stuff yet. Thank you.
Watching this video for the second time! This is absolute favorite my soul and my mind! Thank you Tipper. And I love greens of every kind. I can eat them for breakfast if I've got a piece of cornbread leftover or not! LOL. The videos of you and the girls is mostly what I watch on TV. Do so enjoy them.

A different kind of video today. It's nice to see a variety of your life. I love turnip greens, mustard and collards not so much. Enjoyed the music as always. Thanks for sharing.
Great video. I love hearing you all play.
My goodness gracious that's some pretty scenery
Thank you for sharing such wonderful things!
I seemed to have missed this last year. Learned what a deer stand is today…had no idea. Being a city girl born and bred many things related to hunting are beyond me. Just learned what a Robin Hood arrow is the other day on the girls site too. So interesting. ❤️🇨🇦
Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you! 🙋♂️
I grew up in the country and just love the sounds of the trees blowing. My grandfather always said they were talking to each other.
Mmmm mmm! Wish I had a mess of greens! Those are some of the prettiest I’ve seen! That bread looks delicious!
Watching you make gravy brings back fond memories of standing on a chair by the stove watching my mom make gravy. My favorite thing to do was watch my mom cook. I can make some of the dishes exactly how she did it all those years ago. I love watching your videos because you do thangs like they did back then. Thanks you for sharing your talents with me/ us. God bless you and your family.
Loved everything about the video. The woods & creek. Katie did good videoing plus her comments are just fun! Matt made me nervous up in the tree. I too am afraid of heights, Katie. Food was so tempting. I know how much you love cooking for your family, Tipper. I just wish I was there to eat it! Grammy from Texas
Oh my goodness, feet crushing leaves, rushing creek sounds, good food, and fast foot-tapping music, what a great visit!!! God Bless. Jean PS I wanted Matt's plate of supper yesterday.

When Matt climbed that tree wearing that plaid shirt, I thought of listening to Monty Python and the Lumberjack Song. Looked it up on You Tube. Still funny. Bacon and Biscuits and Gravy with chicken eggs with fried arsh taters is sure a larapin' good meal anytime of day..
I love mixing my green. Cook them tender with a big cake of corn bread.
Love watching your family get together and make the world go round.

I love love mixing my mustard and turnip greens, but only after the frost hits them and gives them that bitter taste. My favorite food ever!
Very enjoyable.
Great video! The trees in our yard (Pacific Northwest) are 150'+. A 20' is just a baby here. Love to see your neck of the woods!
I’m like Katie in that I have a fear of heights yet I have flown in many many aircrafts while serving in the military for 20 years. It’s like if I have something (wall, railing, etc.) around me I am not afraid. I have been deer hunting many times but hunted from the ground mostly. I did hunt from a deer stand a couple of times but was very uncomfortable. I enjoyed this video. God bless.
Awesome video! Your seedlings look great, and that delicious looking plate of food looked so good. What kind of bread was that? It looked nice and moist. It looks like Spring has sprung there. We got more snow overnight. It will be awhile before we plant. Thank you for sharing!

Lord I could sleep listening to your water fall
I m afraid of heights too, Katie. I didn't use to be, but by the time I was 30 couldn't handle it anymore!
Here in Beaufort N.C.we had a very rare ice storm that coated the trees which made for nice picture event.
Mama would mix mustard greens in with her turnip greens. She was a great cook. I enjoyed this video so much. Matt made me nervous climbing tree.
Sorry, I didn’t finish about seeing your breakfast. Just was saying when I see your breakfast I get up and fry some bacon and eat it with some left over biscuits from early in the morning lol. Really enjoy so much watching you cook...yum! yum!
Oh So THAT's how those tree stands work. Matt looks very comfortable up that tree, but it's only after very careful and deliberate preparation. I notice he's like that with everything. Recipe for success. I don't know why I'm always in too much of a hurry I'm with you, Katie, heights make my heart trip out. I've had to deal with them, but avoid heights when possible. Great video with the scenery, the food, new info. Love all ya'll's videos!

I love that you cook your own meals instead of eating out all the time. I like to cook my own food also. I believe it is much healthier to cook your meals and include those lovely greens and you even grow a lot of the greens you all eat!
I love bisquits and gravy/ I learned about your type of cooking when I lived in Oklahoma many years ago. Not bad for a city gal
Oh boy, Mr. Matt’s breakfast looked so hearty and inviting. Hard working man needs a hard working breakfast. Of course, you’re hard working too, Ms. Tipper 👍
Well enjoyed another one from start to finish. Food looked delicious 😋 always love seeing the creek. Nope Mr. Matt’s tree stand is way too high for this ole boy, I would prefer huntin lower to the ground or from a ground blind lol Loved the icicles Katie found and the scenery of the moon at night and of course the tune y’all played. 😇👍🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻❤️☀️

Katie, I too am afraid of heights, but do feel safe in planes, helicopters ..., just so I have something surrounding me. Looking up or down from high spaces gives me a really sick feeling. We are much safer on the ground you and I. Our superpowers live in other places.
