A couple of friends of mine and I started a little character club, where we duel using cards that the characters used + support + theme support. I have always used cards based on Mako Tsunami, when the new support came out. I had thee most epic duel vs the Joey player, I think one of the friends has the recording, I just got to ask around. I swear most fun we had in dueling in a Very long time. Awesome deck.

i love these new cards. so nostalgic. i wish they bring back the original cast of yugioh but with new support in their decks.

I’m not sure about the Normal monsters, since they are both level 6: personally I run the 2 Gagagigo variants, the lv5 is a 2650 ATK normal summon with Umi and the lv8 comes with Fish Sonar as a 3150 ATK beatstick. Also I play Kairyu Shin at 3 because it’s the best card of the deck besides Jellyfish.

I greatly appreciate this video, i been re-watching old school yu gi oh and i been wanting to make a water deck because i liked Makos deck and i also keep tropical fish, so this deck profile is right up my alley and seems in line with what cards mako played/would play from the show, where did you get these cards at?

Tenyi Spirit - Shthana makes the special summons more potent, usually leading into a turn 1 citadel, kairyu or mega fortress (TLF3 if it's in hand) bounce shthana's specially summon with sea nettle, doom kraken the shthana probably sneak out an electric jelly allowing you to cycle turn 1 too

I earned my invite with the legendary ocean deck Saturday. I believe I’m the first to do it lol.

Let’s be honest, this is the most meta deck other than hungry burger turbo.

I wonder how similar/different this will loo to Robbie's fish control deck

Ocean dragon lord kairyu shin is the best card in the deck imo so only running 2 kinda baffles me

Yeah especially when it's actually consistent in your opening hands

I personally think ocean lord is the boss monster not the whales so I run a more.gozen match lockdown style. Might run the pot that banishes random extra deck cards. I'm still on the fence about playing the 3 brick legendary fisherman

Agreed, agreed, and agreed. Kairyu Shin is probably the best card in the deck if you can get it out, which you can quite consistently. It's the fish deck's golden boi, it hitting the field and sticking is what makes or breaks the deck.

Honestly I think with these cards you should focus on either or, either go 3 of kairyu shin 3 kraken and 3 jelly, or go for the legendary fishermen (2 of copies for 3 and 2 - 3 copies of 1) and then 1 ofs for kairyu, kraken, and jelly since sea stealth 2 can summon back during the battle phase you can get back any monster that mentions umi so kairyu shin can be summoned back pretty easily. Plus fisherman 3s effect is just nuts. A full board banish

I think Fish Sonar and Sea Stealth 2 can be very useful in Phantasm Spiral

This support works with every deck revolving around Umi but I think the Legendary Ocean one (this one) works the best

I would really like to build this deck. I like that not only is it thematically based on one of the cooler characters from the original show, but that there is so much good water support. Hopefully i can build it for relatively cheap, like maybe less than 50 or 100, but I am missing literally the most expensive cards from the deck (todally, access code, fish sonar) As far as I know no one at my locals runs water so hopefully i can snag the cards I need for not much money.

So I wound up picking up 2 boxes of this set and man mega fortress must be short printed because I didn't get a single copy of it, but I did get 2 droplets. Looks like for the most part, with a few lucky draws, you could build the majority of this deck with 1 or 2 booster boxes. You can also buy the singles for dirt cheap.

my normal monster of choice was Gogiga gagagigo too beat any non-destroyable monsters with 2000+ ATK since some monsters are immune to SSA effects

I bought a booster box and didn't get a single electric jellyfish lol.

Yeah, I agree. As far as ghost Rares, I don't mind 101 as much as Timaeus or Firewall (Red Dragon Archfiend only has the excuse that the other 5D's Dragons got Ghost treatment, so for collectors, it makes sense), but it's kinda dumb since the only reason it can be relevant is because it is Water. 101 wasn't much different from other generic Rank 4's like Castel, Tornado Dragon, or Exciton , many of which it is inferior to. As far as modern XYZ's, Zeus is the best, but as far as Water XYZ's, Toadally is still one of the best. Toadally Awesome has been a staple to any deck that can make it since it's debut. It still hasn't been powercrept, so it is far more worthy than 101.

So would u be able to ignore fisherman 3 condition and summon him with jellyfish?

doesn't "A legendary Ocean" lock you out of your Rank 4 XYZs unless you use a fisherman or Kairyu-Shin? I wonder how often this would come up. Otherwise, this deck looks really fun.

fish sonar goes for 5 bucks I believe. all the other new support released in this set go for less then a dollar

@@tylerdurden8270 Fish Sonar is averaging $12-15 each. I played against the deck. It is powerful, so the cards might rise, depending on the Tier 0 decks coming out.
