My knee doesn't feel good...
8 weeks post ACL surgery. I wish I could tell that everything is running smoothly but I can’t. The first weeks I was going super fast and could do a lot. At some point my knee didn’t want to go as fast anymore and now it gets swollen quickly… I have to go back to crutches, minimum training exercises and rest. I’m in this schedule for the past 2 weeks already. In the protocol you can test an ACL 3-5 months after surgery, a physio tested it 6 weeks after surgery, which is not ideal. It happened and I can’t turn it back. Today I’m gonna do a MRI to make sure everything is good. It can be some cartilage in the way or something with the screw, which requires surgery (chances are very small). Most likely it is an inflammation which just needs the right exercises and a good balance of training/rest. The MRI is necessary to rule out the other possibilities and helps me to continue with a peaceful mind. I can’t sleep well and I’m honestly scared when my knee reacts so fast. I’m overthinking if I’m not making it worse which definitely doesn’t help the progress. Other than this my mind and motivation is very strong. Whatever the outcome is, I am gonna do what needs to be done and I will be back a 100% without a doubt 🚀🔥
Cheers Pips!

What I 've learned from dealing with diagnoses and recoveries is to never look at how and how fast others heal... Every body is different and will react/heal differently from each other! Keep your head up pip!!
Stay strong Pippa! You're young, you'll be alright. A few months is nothing in a lifetime, but it seems forever when you see no progress. Catch up with friends, and make a list of fun stuff you want to do while you're recovering. Learn a language, read some books. It will make you feel more 'productive' and in a better mental mindset.
hey Pippa, this is a reayl strong video. Thank you that you share the up´s and also the downs´s with us. take all the time you and your knee need. we all will waiting ...and we will all cheer at the beach when you are back on the water again. stay strong.
Had ACL surgery + meniscus and things didn't start to feel "good" until the 12-24 month period as I got back into sport (was doing lots of physio before then). It does get better!

Actually, the healing of the knee happens in the knee. Your head has very little to do with it.
Hey Pippa, all the best see you the next time on the water.
Breaks my heart to See u crying 😭 wish u the best 🙄🌹
Be strong 💪💪💪
All the best
Hey Pippa. Stay strong. All will be good and you are going to shred Brasil in November. The first three beers are on me if we meet.
Stoer om ook dit te delen. Met jou instelling moet t goed komen 💪
Neve give up 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Let’s go Pips💪🏼 we will together make it happen 😃
Sterkte meid 🙏🙏🙏
Hey Pip, i'm sure you know that each recovery is individual... There is little point to comparing yourself to others. We all do it none the less, i guess. One just has to realize that positive mindset helps healing and dealing with the situation, but also makes you very prone to overexpect your abilities and over exercise. Just rest assured that a good and pain-free life will most likely be possible again, but your knee despite all efforts won't be brand new... Like a used car, it will continuasly need a tiny bit more maintenance effort to be reliable... Easy whilst being an active athlete though. Just let sports and videostuff go for a while and do other things, like music/art/education... Its about staying curious and nothing could throw you of your path as you might just change it if something gets in the way. ... I have been on the water only two or three times this year, but still had the best times of my life, cycling, mtb, changing jobs, getting to know people, just being open to influence of others and trying out new stuff... I'll get back to kiting, there is no hurry, i just know that the right time will come

I'm on my 2weeks now from acl surgery and meniscus. I'm always watching your vlog... hope your doing well
Hey Pippa, not a nice news, I just want to share with you, that I had experienced the surgery of ACL and Meniscus, my knee was swelling 9 months after the surgery, doing everything I could, and no one having a clear explanation of why my knee is swelling.. my mental state was devastated, until I accidentally met a guy that instantly explained to me what is the reason, and he literally saved my life. If your recovery doesn't go as planned, feel free to contact me and I will give you all the details. All the best Petar
