Was anyone else really annoyed when that woman kept trying to push more sweets on the girl while mom kept saying "no, just the one". "Oh but it is almost Christmas", "can she take some more home?". The mother said no, it's a no. Of ALL places to understand that this girl doesn't need any more sweets and respect the mother, the physician's office should be that place.

@@BeckBeckGoactually that is likely not true. I grew up with a girl with PWS and our families were very close. People with PWS can gain weight on as little as 600 calories a day. It’s easier for parents to control as a child, but as they grow up and gain some independence, they can’t be watched constantly. That’s when they can eat in secret, and is so much harder to control x

They are often rude, abusive etc. just to get what they want. Even if they are hospitalized and they have a ''no'' for a year or even 20 years the day they get out they will get whatever they want. PWS or not, Sachin is abusive towards his family. While special considerations should be made for people with disabilities on a case by case basis, abuse is still abuse, and is never okay. I agree. Shes eleven and even if she has disabilities she can Express herself and feel emotional. I am the same way only with high functioning autism and I'm given social places to go. And a place to work at a daycare. When people say that I can't feel sad or angry, they are wrong. Some of us don't want to have what we have but we live with it.

It’s easy to criticise Katie for having a tantrum but think about a time when you’ve been super hungry and unable to get food. Extreme hunger causes you to be easily agitated and aggressive because hunger causes receptors in the brain to go mental. Katie unfortunately became accustomed to eating whenever she likes and this program would’ve been a massive shock for her

it's not a buffet, it's a restaurant with a salad bar. i get it but they probably did it bc its the only place they have half a chance of finishing a meal before she freaks out like she ultimately did bc she has food right away. since she's with other carers a few nights a week i personally think for the sake of the other kids and everyone else paying for a peaceful meal they should have gone while she was away but on the other hand she doesn't deserve complete isolation from family life...it's hard to know where to draw the line but with what the mother said had there not been a salad bar she wouldn't have waited for the food to be cooked let alone stood half a chance at letting the rest of her family eat even a bit of their meal. that whole night was done wrong though in my opinion. if they took her they should have brought her something to do like a hulk video game or given her fruit to eat after dinner so the others could finish and once she started yelling someone should have taken her to the car so everyone there didn't have their meal ruined by her loud screaming tantrum

Two things. A lot of people are commenting stuff about Rebecca's mum not being a good parent, and whilst I agree that in ways it seemed like she was enabling Rebecca's stress levels(e.g. DaDdY's GoNe ThE LoNg WaY) I also feel like she does seem to care about Rebecca a lot and I can appreciate it must be difficult both physically and mentally to care for someone with pws. Secondly, it really annoyed me when the nurse kept trying to push Rebecca's mum to let her have more sweets. Smh

When you stack other alarming behaviours from her mother on top of each other it stops seeming like she has genuine care for her. She compares Rebecca to a beached whale, to hulk, tells her she'll hit her, feed her rat poison and put her in a shirt that says 'i have special needs' because she's a mentally disabled 11 year old throwing tantrums in public, letting her other children eat IN FRONT of Becca when Becca is not allowed to eat (doing that to a disabled child is already horrific but to do it to a disabled child who is constantly hungry...), egging her on when a change in routine is causing her visible stress and even saying ''she might as well be killed'' after finding out she'd be disabled... horrific and downright abusive. No sidestepping that.

9:56 I stopped at this exact moment to find a comment that was as equally annoyed by the nurse as i am. Why did she continue to undermine the mother like that. You shouod always check in with parents and respect their word. I also feel like she was being malicious with it bc she would have seen how big the girl was. To me she was saying like "i know you want more" and dangling it in front of her

I have a genetic issue bcs 3 generation b4 me were also smokers and smoked a lot so lack of dopamine literally makes me cry and shaking like i’m drug addicted. Even several narcologists gave up with me.. but i’m trying af at least 1 week, 2 weeks, 2 months but I’m trying really and wish u guys to quit and fight ya addictions! Seek for help, admit yr problems and please! If u r teenager - DONT START SMOKING. I beg u it’s not cool. If i knew that will face 101 health diseases, bad skin, unbelievable lvl of aggression and pain in every single muscular due to smoking and eating junk bs - I’D NEVER START IT.
