My Journey: How I Became The World's First 4x (and 3x) Grand Master On Kaggle
Since a lot of people have asked me about my journey to become the world's first 4x grand master (and also first 3x grand master) on Kaggle and since I am not into blogs, I decided to rather make a KZread video about it. I hope you like it :)
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me in comments. I try my best to reply/answer each comment that I receive.

love the humility about your journey and highlighting both successes and also failures along the way. Totally appreciate the "perseverance" message!!
Hey Abhishek, thanks for putting out this video. It's immensely helpful for those who are just starting on (or somewhere in the middle of) the same journey!
youre absolutely right. Persistence, hard work and endurance pays handsomely. thanks bro. i learn allot from this video
The only one best thing happened to me in 2020 is this video. Thanks for sharing the whole time capsule.
I can sense the humility in your voice. Thanks for sharing. I will remember this story of yours for a very long time.
Thanks a lot for sharing , I can relate a lot to your journey, only difference being I have much more at my hands including a lot of financial responsibilities, I also want to learn things like you , I love data science like you . I met you at Kaggle days and have been inspired since then , I will not give in to anything . One day I will be there , You are an inspiration
Inspiring journey! It will pay off in long run!
Truly inspiring, thanks for sharing your journey.
Congratulations 🐇 I have been following your work for sometime and it's been helpful. Looking forward for your book 🌈 🦄 Thanks for sharing your journey 🌻
Thank you for sharing, Bengali ai is my first kaggle competition, I am lucky to see your tutorial !
Super excited to learn from this channel : )!!
Inspirational 😍😍😍 "Never Give up"
You're extremely humble that's why I start respecting you very very very much..... That's why you're a true Grand Master for solving real life problem not only in kaggle....
It was really motivational. Thanks for sharing your story.
Ciao Abhishek :) I sincerely admire your story, because it is a true story made of failures - I like how honest you are in describing your failures and how you managed to learn, also from others. This is something that people usually avoid talking about, but in my opinion it distinguishes the real good ones :) thank you for sharing your amazing jurney! Success is a journey ;)
Well, that sounded exhausting! :D Thank you for both the humility and the “reality check”. All the best!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.
Thank you soo much for sharing such a beautiful journey 😃
Thank you Sir. It was a very inspiring journey.
I am glad you sheared your journey it's really helpful.
Awsome bro.. journey from zero to hero a true inspiration.
Proud of you. You are a fighter who knows only to win. Keep on winning !
Sir i came across one of your interviews and i was so inspired! I am also a beginner in this field but seeing your journey, it motivates me.
That's great... great motivation. Thankx slot
amazing journey !!!
Thanks for sharing your grandmaster's story. Its truly inspiring :) #neverGiveUp #challengeYourself #perseverance
Thanks for sharing Abhishek, your journey is inspiring! Tenacity seems to be one of the crucial features for any kind of success.
I just wanna say I really like watching your videos and this format of you sharing your experiences is super interesting to listen to. You're a person I look up to and feel like I'm getting a better perspective on a lot of different things from your videos. I can definitely relate to how you felt about certain courses during school and how learning machine learning on your own was perhaps more exciting :) Right now I'm on a similar journey trying to learn more about ML, reading papers and trying to implement them on my own. I saw that your book is going to be released soon too, it looked very interesting, will definitely get it when it's released and use the advice to start doing Kaggle competitions. Anyways this post was way too long, just wanna say keep doing what you're doing, you're awesome

Listening to your journey has been absolutely inspiring! I was wondering if you could make a video about how you organize your code and set up your pipelines for these competitions.
Living legend!
tnx for sharing abhishekl , very inspiring , hope i get a grandmaster one day :)
Hi Abhishek, Awesome man, best of luck :) Nishat
Very Inspiring story and you are such a humble person

Thanks for sharing your insights. If possible plz make a learning path for people like us who has just started learning.
Really,You are inspiring me . I love your hard work sir, You are a hero I will also Never Give up in my life.
The same happened with me. I heard of Kaggle and went to register, but surprisingly I was already registered.
Thanks for sharing
Hahaha... Loving the stache
Thank you for inspring all the aspirants , yes we like to see more of you. My question does certification helps in landing a data science job? now adays you will find tons of coaching through offline and online medium. please advise.
My Goal is to become the fastest 4X Grand Master on Kaggle and you are my Role Model 👍
The way you described your thirst for leaning resonated with me a lot, my life motto is 活到老学到老 (live till old, learn till old), I thought you might like it too. I have been participating and learning a lot in Kaggle Competitions in the last 6 months, I have read The Kaggle Book and the next one in the list is your book + your channel that I just discovered and am liking it a lot :) Btw, are you still in Norway? I am not that far away ( in Sweden)

Can u tell where i can find the kaggle book
I can relate to part of your path but it is true, university courses are limited. I learned very little from my "Deep Learning" course but at least got my feet wet. I revisited these topics by staying up at night for my thesis.
you're literally changing my life with your personality which is very inspiring , and all your videos that you had uploaded so far . i will be you in 2030.

@@abhishekkrthakur You're a legend❣️❣️❣️
Thanks a lot for the insightful talk. What the other competition sites with real world datasets that you mentioned in the passing towards the end?
Your story is an inspirational one. The fact that you did not even have a background in Python and you still beat the odds to be a model to others. I've got a question though. For one with no background in machine learning, what do you think is the first things to master.
Thank you for sharing your story. Can you please share a video on how to go about with deep learning from scratch? I have become almost familiar with working with ML models but I am yet to learn DL. There are so many MOOCS and study materials over the internet that I get confused from where to start. A realistic approach from you can help me and thousands of other learners as well. Best regards, Chandrima
Very nice inspiration 👌
thanks a lot.
I think the story helps and i am greatful for your video, but it would help alot more if you'd mention the details of the process , the grind , the books the projects that made you. So maybe in another video?

Brother, it would be great if you could share libraries like albumentations for basic ML tasks (such as image augmentation, creating folds, etc)because all I ever used was transforms and ImageGenerator in Keras, I think it would be really helpful.

Hi Abhishek, Could you please start learning series in ML and Deep Learning.
10:38 "I kept working as a student [...] and at night I was batman" - That sentence got me goosebumps. It's freaking motivating me, cause I am in a similar situation. Reminds me of that TV series "Mr Robot". Even days after I watched that video, I still have to think about this quote. *goosebumps*
Thank you.

Very very inspiring !! I have a question As an undergraduate I find it difficult to understand any algorithm completely.there is so much math involved (linear algebra, probability and calculus). So how do you learn new algorithms, do you completely learn the math behind it or do you just leave it as a black box?

I think the Andrew Ng course should help you.
Just wondering if the competition financial prizes helped motivate you and did it provide income that helped you support lifestyle and your learning? Thanks
I'm from Surat n One of my friends is a Professor out there.. 👍👍
I am completely beginner in the field of data science and machine learning. Can you please sugge some playlist to start with. PS: I have good exposure to python and pandas numpy and around 1.5 yrs of experience in mern stack and pyathon based web frameworks as well.
sir i am also btech student cse branch 6th semester and i have keen interest in data science, machine learning making models and finding patterns in data but my professor said me to learn algorithms like greedy approach, optimal binary search tree and back tracking etc can you please tell me that as a fresher these algorithms are must to learn despite of linear regression, random forest and knn algorithm ??
Thanks m just join u very good story
As the video was very long, just for confirming I'm a data science student learning data science at DataCamp. Is DataCamp a good place to watch videos to get ready for Kaggle? I'm asking because there are many data scientsits there.
I really wish to know did you do the time management
Sir u are my ideal,i want to be like you
If i am a just starting with kaggle , can i just see other people other kernels and try to implement that on my own without doing the complete modification??
Hey, I recently started developing interest in GANs, can you please suggest how should I proceed?
Sir, please make a video about how to approach problems using neural network. And also regarding Data preprocessing approaches and steps for such problems. It would be great help for us who are beginners in neural network.

Abhishek can you tell me ,from where i can get the complete data of a super store or market.Because it is the starting of my journey and i searched kaggle and google dataset for the raw data of a general store but i could not find it.And its very important for me to have a data of a super store.I have seen many datasets but they are not, what i need, like i need a complete data of a store but they give me the data of an online store and this data can't fulfil my requirement.
This is a great story Abhishek! I would love for you to share something similar with my subscribers! Would you be open to an interview / conversation with me?

Hey, I am an electrical engineering student in in my final sem but as you said I too am less interested in my curriculum and have recently for the past 7/8 months have taken up machine learning. I have my background in python and matlab and I did some online courses and read pdfs and tried implementing them on Kaggle. Have done some computer vision project using mnist datasets, few nlp sentiment analysis or text classification and some regression problems like housing price prediction. I want to continue in this path and given no one would hardly take an graduate for a data science job that too in India what should be my next approach?

How is Kaggle different from real work situations, if there are any differences?
Hello Sir, It would be really helpful ,if you could make a video to guide beginners or, make a guiding video for yourself if you were begnning now. As a beginner I am currently doing Andrew Ng Machine learning course but other than that all the stuff on internet seems quite overwhelming and I dont have a mentor or senior to look upto , so if you could make a video or give suggestion by just replying ,it would be really grateful. Thanks in advance.
I had a doubt ,how did u managed to take an intern ship at Warwick when u were in 3 year of engg. (..financial part )
