Honest to God, this is the first helpful explanation for the validation set I’ve heard; replicate the disparity you expect to see in the test set when extracting the validation set…it’s crazy how simple and sensical that is

Thanks for your message and glad to hear that you enjoyed the podcast. The skills that you need for an entry level job strongly depend on the job but I will highlight two things: 1. Coding skills, I would recommend to learn Python. 2. Machine learning skills. I would recommend you to take an intro to ML course and then do a project by yourself to practice the theory.
