My Ivy League journey | Profile, admits, rejects, tips
In this video, I discuss my admission into an Ivy League university, namely the University of Pennsylvania, for my Master's in Mechanical Engineering program. I reveal my application profile, how I decided on my specialization and university, my admits and rejects, and some tips I have for you guys as you apply to graduate school. This is the first video in a series on this channel where I interview students about their application journeys so that you guys understand how the process works and if your profiles are a good fit for their university.

Scholarships, funding is very important aspect. How much financial aid you got at those universities. 🙏
Does not coming from an IIT or NIT put you at any disadvantage?
Can I do Ms statistics after Ms math @
Great work! Could you invite someone who has applied for pharmaceutical sciences or any other course in biology field.

Will do!
@sachin, Which comes first? Is it the GRE and TOEFL/IELTS or shortlisting of the universities? Also would you be able to share your experience in college and the courses/assignments?

TOEFL/IELTS first, then GRE, then shortlist based on those scores. I haven't gone to the college yet so can't talk about it :)

@@SachinPullil150 Thank you so much for your response, I have one more doubt regarding the degree selection, am really confused if I should go for Ms or an MBA, because for me MBA is something like a superpower and am so much passionate about it, but confused on choosing the specialization in it. An when it comes to Ms i have data science in mind (did my ug in CS engg), which trills me equally! Would you be able to give me some clarification on this scenario? Thank you once again!

@@yazhinisurendran4144 Hi Yazhini, I think the second video ever on my channel was MS vs MBA vs PhD. That video should help you out :)
Bro can you give advice on what to do if you have past application deadline and haven't applied yet
@SachinPullil150

You can find other universities with deadlines still open. If a university has closed the deadline, you cant apply there
I applied to Stanford this year, like for the 2021-22 session. And I also belong to the mechanical stream only. So I wanted to know that TOEFL / GRE will be a game-changer as they were before the pandemic or not because I received an exemption for both of the exams by Stanford.

Unless it's a really really good GRE score, it wouldn't make much of an impact. TOEFL is just a pass/fail kinda thing so it doesn't matter.
