Again, there are quite a few questions about why I don't user VR, as usually. In case you're interested, here's the answer: kzread.info/dash/bejne/jIqXtrOMYrWtorg.html

@@chronicle8080Go cheap like me. i got 3TV's cheap and use them, thrustmaster m16000 and farmstick, razer tarturous pro, and a cheap tablet for gameglass. took a bunch of scrap wood and screwed them to the chair. Also got 3 VR headsets though so the TV's might be coming down. the quest 3 is enough to replace them.

This is absurdly over the top, I love it.
This for some reason gives me vibes of a future where immersion systems like this coupled with cheap stationary hydraulics create effectively an actual spaceship, you and your friends could crew in real life, virtually.

That technically already exists, that's basically how flight training works for commercial pilots. They have a cockpit with hydraulics and a flight sim.

And I thought my $5K gaming PC was expensive. LOL. This is an incredible setup, I genuinely love the modularity. If I ever got into the sim stuff this is exactly how I'd go about it. DIY everything I can and make damn sure it's modular so I can easily switch things around for different games. A truly impressive sim setup for sure.
Damn thats awesome. My setup is just sticks attached to my chair and panels attached to my desk and a 27" monitor. This is more or less exactly what I want to do once I have the ability. Good fuckin job dude, seriously impressive.

Amazing overview of what you’ve created! I plan on officially building my cockpit this summer and using yours and Warthog Project ideas as good guides. Have you finished making panels for SC and have you made any specific for DCS? My cockpit will be a multi-ship/multi-game combining various aspects of the F-16, A-10, F/A-18, and Eclipse. The goal isn’t to make a final cockpit, but evolve aspects as my interests develop and SC incorporates more inputs into their game.

Sounds like an interesting project! I'm actually not going forward with this cockpit, but start building OpenHornet cockpit next. At least the frame, and then modify it into modular setup. This way I could continue building nearly 1:1 Hornet cockpit but still make it modular.
This setup is totally amazing. Congratulations! The hard work has definitely paid off. The skill involved in building this sort of rig is next level stuff. Very very impressive!
