Hi Kim! A note on the egg whites you mentioned that it was a large container. Those are easily frozen until you need them to make an Angel food cake, meringue etc. 😊

I use egg white and add a whole egg and make French toast or French toast sticks and put them freezer . No waste but you can scramble egge whites too.
