Love all your videos. I’ve heard you talk about the Garmin r10 once and I think it was in an interview with another KZread creator… I’m curious as to your thoughts on it in a bit more detail…I’m on that kind of budget🤣🤣… keep golfing and good luck on your scratch golf journey.

I think if you're on a budget I would recommend the Mevo+ without pro package for Under $1800 on the black friday deals. The garmin is great but the accuracy of the Mevo+ is incredible when set up properly and using RCT balls. I think if there is no way you can afford the Mevo then the Garmin is a great choice as well

Interesting. So the TP5pix helps with accuracy (I'm assuming because of the markings on the ball). I wonder if this would also tighten up the accuracy on other units as well that use a similar system and the original Skytrak.

That’s what worked best for me! I think it’s different depending on different set ups but it made me confident that there is a setup with the skytrak+ that will work great. I’ve heard other units struggle with the PIX balls so I think it’s decide to device

In the instruction manual it says that for the best accuracy readings to put the logo facing the camera. I think the pix ball is probably great for the skytrak+ because it'll use the markings to calculate the spin of the ball. I own a ST+ and I can say that I dont really pay too much attention to making sure the logo is facing the camera but if I get a weird flyer or something that has like no spin, I know that the camera saw no ball markings. Its pretty rare though. I have some kirkland balls hat I use in my sim and I must put an extra line or dot on each of them. Perfect readings pretty much every time.

@@m.g.1089 cool. Thanks for the insight. Got an original skytrak now and haven’t had any problems as of yet and I haven’t been using special balls like tp pix.

I've now owned the Skytrak+ for just about a month. I can also confirm the TP5Pix balls are the absolute best for accuracy. The main piece is spin rate. Ball speed and every other statistic seemed accurate, but the spin rate was much more realistic after using the Pix balls. I"m a single digit handicap and was just fitted for my irons less than a year ago, so I basically knew where my spin numbers should be. They came right in line immediately after using the Pix balls. The other key is replacing the ball regularly enough. The balls will get the crap beat out of them between hitting them as well as the medium the are being hit into (in my a nylon net).

If I’m hitting off a mat outside do I sit the skytrak plus in the grass or on the mat?

I haven’t tested it much since this video but it was pretty inconsistent when I used it, not awful though. Everything else was great, ball speeds were spot on.

keep in mind you dont need the subscription at all for skytrak but you will have the 250 annual gspro payment which I feel would be purchased regardless of which unit you go with

@@GolfBusters correct but you do not need it to play gspro and it has all the great practice features and bag mapping the ST subscription has. No point in paying for the ST sub so I feel its a unfair to add that to the 5 year cost

@treyalexander7256 ohh I didn’t know you could play GSPRO without that package that’s a good point. Either at to play courses you need to pay $250 correct? So at that point it’s valid. MEVO+ you don’t have to pay anything to play courses.
