Local mechanics don't know technical terms. They're not someone to gain knowledge about terms. You can learn about the functioning and working of parts from good experienced mechanics. But very rarely they can say the correct terms.

Hie Mr.musafir joshi ,kaushal here ,its a great news that you r working for one of the great offroading vehicle..i would like to add one thing n i want that u should see to it i.e the base hold of the chassis seems look to be perfect but they start rusting after a sometime..please see to it ,that to specially check the base rack .. bcoz if base rack is rusty even 10% from inside ,it will harm u r vehicle while turning through corners ,as i had also experienced the same in my mahindra armada 1994 model

so called gas shockers are basically gas charged shocks , instead of air working with oil inside the standard shock , inert gas (argon) is put which reduces formation of frothing in the oil, as due to frothing in extreme conditions the shock absorption reduces . also a genuine non repaired shocker will not spring out as resistance in both up and down will be great , and force needed to compress much greater. the gas shock in question seem to spring out very quickly , which suggests it has been repaired (not a deal breaker if cheap say 600 to 800 rs ) and seals used in repair are local stuff (which might not last as long as a new shocker). ps ...dont take it in negative sense , i am just sharing knowledge

Why are you putting all refurbished shock absorbers. Kindly get new one & get it fixed. You should be getting the whole car cleaned before starting any work & why are you doing the suspension work before painting? Get your under chasis fully painted & then do all this job.

i could see 3-4 of welded patch work in the body and even the kamani brackets had surface rust . also lot of surface rust on the chasis
