​@@CallN0w That's cause he's not using the flare star cheese, nor Is using the good actions and essences which in turn makes the fight long and since mech oneshot you in 99% of the cases the longer you go the hardest It get. Like if you do the flare star cheese the zadnor duels die like After 2 mechs and the bozja one even faster

@@CallN0w Nah there is a cheese strategy which makes all of them really easy and spider already said that he rather just do the content as intended and actually see bosses do their full rotation. And the cheese is that you play as magic dps and you stack every bozja buff and then use the high damage bozja dot and that spell alone will pretty much kill the duels.

Congratulations on clearing all duels! You're a true gamer, Ultimates will easily go your way now. Achievement recommendations for a calmer week or two: * Variant Dungeons, you can get achievements for mapping them, collecting all logs, and fighting all the bosses in them. Oh and a final quest after each too. * Sightseeing log, you've still got plenty of those to go. * Fishing! Start catching Big Fish and go for "Of Dragons Deep" * Obtain the first step of each ARR Relic to get the "Armed to the Teeth" achievement. * Start Blue Mage! * Start Chocobo Racing * Hang out in Gold Saucer and do Slice is Right and Anyway the Wind Blows.

Great achievements earned this week but the after hours "only monk dps" Nier raid might have been some of the best XIV content I've ever witnessed

I was surprised and absolutely love high tension excited Cyder when the treasure map door opened. :D

For anyone wondering if Bozja (and soon to be Eureka) is good for money making. It really is, what Cider is doing is literally just the byproduct of him chasing the achievements not actual grind for gil. Doing optimal gil farming methods in Bozja alone can yield 3mil+ per hour but you are not really focusing achievements at that point. Aka you can hit 9mil is 3ish hours depending on efficiency. This is optimal farming in Bozja though and its extremely boring. Still though 8.5mil is really good for just playing the game compared to other grinds. Also for the love of Hydaelyn don't be a masochist like Cider and wait till the literal end to pop the boxes. He does it for content. Save your sanity and do it little by little.

Doing Leves now as I was setting up my brand new PC (20-30 second load times into zones if not MORE to now 1-2 seconds is insane) but if you wanna work on anything, Crystaline Conflict is actually popping rn since the season just started. I don't know if ranks count to Lalaachivements but it's good to do. If you wait like 2-3 more weeks you won't get in ranked games for the rest of the expansion lmao Was working on crafting log last week, and did some PoTD farming for Intuitionless Hoard chests which is going really fast for being something so luck and rng heavy, and Aetherpool Grippies to make the weapons. Also just the whole... 20000 Hoard achivement which is the most insane thing to me, almost as much as the Leve and PvP quest grinds

If you're farming the CC achievements you're probably much better off queuing casuals. The queues pop much more frequently and the games might even be easier too.

@@chef416 It likely would be, it's just I want the Ranked CC Rewards too so doing non-ranked feels like the same effort for half the rewards LMAO. I have gotten to Crystal the first two seasons and I do want to do it more often, but sadly people aren't queing after the first 3-4 weeks as much. I'm not full on farming CC itself as much as just just doing it for the rewards. When I full on devote myself to farming wins and per role wins etc, then I will likely fall back to Casual games

I got genuinely happy seeing you beat all the duels, I could never. Congrats! I love seeing your weekly videos, can't believe I'm 15+ weeks deep, that's gonna be half a year soon, time flies...

This video was such a relief after the soul-crushing struggle last time. It just shows those previous duels weren't a waste of time, because it allowed you to absolutely slay them this time. And what amazing luck with that last treasure map. 🤩 As for the treasure map dungeons, I remember doing the roulette one (can't remember the name) with FC members, and twice in a row, the big sucky thing appeared only to be zapped down, and we made it to the end. 😊

Progress report, Lalachievements score 16,100: I resumed going after big fish, and picked up Go Big or Go Home V (Blue Corpse, Imperial Goldfish, Shark Tuna, Olgoi-Khorkhoi, Beguiler Chub, Marrow Sucker, Goldenfin, Dawn Maiden, Octomammoth, Dirty Herry, Blood Red Bonytongue, Bat-o'-Nine-Tails, Wootz Knifefish Zenith, Bloodbath, The Greatest Bream in the World). Also happened to pick up Good Things Come to Those Who Bait: Thanalan II while going after Dirty Herry and Fingers. Unrelated, while spearfishing to verify how many fish are necessary to spawn the swimming shadow in Rak'tika (sources disagreed on whether it was 7 or 10), I wound up getting the last couple scrip collectables to then get I Traded That II. Also picked up The Customer is Always Right: Zhloe Aliapoh II while doing weekly custom deliveries. Perhaps a bigger deal, but it won't matter for an achievement for a while, but I caught Sea Butterfly on my second window. I realized that, part of going after the big fish was because some of these can take a lot of attempts, and so I combed through reddit threads complaining about fish, identified the two hardest fish each in HW, StB, and ShB, and pinned them so I can try them out when they're up. Sea Butterfly's the only one that's been up during waking, non-working hours so far (well, technically Raimdellopterus, which I regard as the third-hardest HW big fish based on random strangers complaining on the Internet, has been up and I've attempted it once), but I'm happy to have *any* on these particular fish complete. For those curious, the initial six fish I pinned were: Sea Butterfly and Chairbenet, Ruby Dragon... you know, I just realized as I was typing this that I pinned one StB fish and three ShB fish, but anyway, and Cinder Surprise, Ealad Skaan, and Lancetfish. Based on vibes, my impression is that Cinder Surprise, Ruby Dragon, and Ealad Skaan are the worst big fish. Guess I'll unpin Lancetfish in favor of Warden of the Seven Hues... All-in-all, not a super productive week for achievements, but definitely productive on the big fish front. 72 big fish down, only... 217 to go...

Oooh you dont wanna unpin Lancet... He's actually one of the worst. Tho its not cause he is that hard to catch in himself for a legendary, but the intuition is a pain and you may need jail yourself in The Tempest for hours to catch a mora in advance

My last four for the Big Fish title were (from 4th to last): Stethacanthus, Ealad Skaan, Charibenet, Cinder Surprise. I think Raimdellopterus was something like 7th or 8th-to-last big fish I caught. I got lucky with Lancetfish and caught it when I had 20-25 left but, from my understanding, it's one of the worst. Keep it pinned. Make an exception for Shadowbringers and keep Cinder Surprise, Ealad Skaan and Lancetfish pinned. Good luck!

It's fine, I'll repin Lancetfish after I catch either Cinder or Salad, haha... ha... Mostly, the two per expac rule was instituted because initially I just pinned all the mean fish I saw lots of complaints about, and it go to be that the pinned portion of my Carbie Plushy was so tall that I couldn't see half the pinned fish, let alone the ARR fish that I'm ostensibly actively targeting. I wish there were a more vertically-efficient way to display, but also I do really appreciate being able to see the windows, conditions, and baits for all the intuition fish, so I get why it's displayed the way it is. I do get the sense that Steth is probably the meaner StB fish, based on reddit vibe checks, but I opted to swap Lancet for Warden because my understanding is that they get complaints for similar reasons, having really annoying prep that potentially locks you in a zone for a while. Lancet's is obviously meaner, but I figure Warden will give me a little taste of that, before I fully commit to the pain. I think part of it is that a friend of a friend who had, at least at the time (during ShB), caught all the big fish, used to tell horror stories about Warden, and taking time off work because she was locked in place, unable to log off, and her boss (who also played XIV and either also big fished or just knew about big fish) understanding. But I wonder if I just misunderstood the stories. This was a few years ago, and at a time when I didn't know *anything* about big fish, so it's entirely possible that a conversation that started with "that's a pretty fish in your fish tank" "oh, that's Warden of the Seven Hues, my archnemesis" may have, at some point, shifted to be about Lancetfish without me really knowing. In retrospect, there's nothing really about Warden that requires you to just stay in Yanxia for more than a few hours at a stretch. Indigo and Firelight are on a consistent schedule, and the weather chain for Green occurs roughly 24% of the time, so for absolute safety, you'd only ever need maybe an hour of prep per attempt. Maybe I should reach out to her, and ask if I'd confused two different stories...

@@Rotaretilbo From my experience catching Warden and chilling with a friend when he caught Warden as well, getting intuition is the annoying part. Warden itself isn't bad and you'd likely get it during that one intuition window or maybe a second one. I heard multiple people claim they caught it on their first intuition window as well. It's just the intuition preparation that's irritating to no end. Good luck!

Gratz, that was a lot of effort.

All the respect and congrats on being done with the duels great small one! Still a bit intimidated by them, but a little less scared now. As far as the Grand Company leves. My go to have been picking up the ones where they ask you to kill an enemy that normally spawns adds, but if you're max level you just one shot them and bam, done. In Mor Dohna the Maelstrom and Flames both have one in the rotation. 'Who Writes History' and 'Kill the Messenger'. Pick up whichever or both if they're there, murder, rinse and repeat. Though i'm not sure how determined to stay focused on one at a time. A long haul any way you slice it. Stick poking at the unique crafters. What sucks is that at the moment, you HAVE to do some of the Large 10ers from Ishgard if you want the last achievement atm. Hoping to avoid that when Dawntrail arrives.

I've been using the 10s for uniques just to quickly dump allowances and keep from wasting any when I've got other stuff going on and am not ready to devote time to 100ish leves. Just picking a few that have rewards I want is a much more manageable task that buys me days on getting back to the leve grind!

For my progress this week: - 100 unique Armorer leves and 20 unique Goldsmith leves - 500 high-quality crafts as Goldsmith - 50 Wondrous Tails - 1 Lord of Verminion PvP win (my SO and I realized that the queue is so dead that win-trading is trivial) - Level 90 Goldsmith, Astrologian, and Warrior - Beat Sartauvoir Duel!!! 1/6 baby!!!!

Haah you have beaten me once again. I'm just 5 points behind you on lalachievement score. This week, I finished my Manderville relics, got the second dark knight tank mount, and nearly finished HW fishing.

A fast way to tell if you don't want to pick up a leave is to check the time limit. All the ones that make you wait the full time limit are 5 minutes long, everything else is 20 minutes long.

Well, big week for me at least, got Loporrits to Rank 8 (Now I have to get Omicrons and Arkasodaras to 8 to finish the tribes of EW), but most importantly, all crafters are in Lv90 as LTW was my last crafter to get to Lv90 between Custom Deliveries, tribe quests and Levequests

Since you are having inventory and retainer issues, I have this recommendation for you: create one or more new characters on your same account (if you don't want to pay for another subscription), create a free company, have 3 friends (or someone you pay some gil to) to sign the petition to start the free company and give one of them the ability to invite people to the free company, switch over to your new characters and have your friend invite your new characters to the free company (both have to be on at the same time, that's why you can't invite your new characters yourself). You can trade items and gil with your new characters through the company chest. Walah. Inventory and retainer issues solved. (I did this myself, so I know it works). Also has the added bonus of never being bothered with requests to join other people's FCs ever again.

I've been working towards the Honest Gillionaire achievement. Turns out I just buy tea from the MB and repeatedly pick up and hand in the levequest for it in Old Sharlayan. BTW, I want this title, the money throw emote, and the golden coin spewing Namazu mount to reflect the wealth I've gained from crafting sub parts. :3

and all it took for that hidden canals clear is my liver (drink responsibly kids)

I am getting all the relics done in Eureka and Bozja looks like I will be living there for like a year when I get to that point!

Homie you gotta do Delubrum Savage. It is bar none the best content that Bozja has to offer and the shot callers on all the major discords are very good. Would recommend Lego Steppers on Aether though as they have frequent anyprog runs.

Don't forget Diadem, get that Pteranodon mount! Only takes a million billion points!

With the right setups you can beat the duels before you even see more than 2 mechanics, you can definitely do it if you go in well prepared.

Interested to see if the field operations in Dawntrail will have a challenge as hard as the duels. Also i just wanna say i really love these Achievement videos Cider they’re somehow both very entertaining and relaxing to watch/listen to.
