Ashan Trisheild Here is an approximate recipe, from what I see in the video. Recipe: Okra/Lady Fingers: 500g, medium chopped. Shallots/Madras kanda: 50 g whole Vegetable oil: 6 tbsp Mustard seeds: 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds: small pinch. Curry leaves: 2 springs Salt: 1 Big pinch Red chilly powder: 1 tbsp Eggs: 2 Black pepper powder: a pinch Coriander/Cilantro leaves: 4 springs Method: Chop okra/lady finger into medium pieces, peel small shallots/madras kanda. Heat oil in pan, add mustard and fenugreek seeds, let mustard seeds pop. Add curry leaves. Add shallots. saute for some time. Add okra and salt cook for 2 minutes. Add red chilli powder. Cook till okra is tender and cooked. Add eggs and scramble. Add black pepper at the end and finish with coriander leaves. Cheers. this is an approximation of the cute grandma's cooking.

david sandlin I think it's specific to South India(perhaps most of India), I'm not sure if similar tools exist elsewhere. And the serrated top part is to grate coconuts, a common ingredient.
