Allison, you’re beautiful with any hair color! But I know the struggle. My picture for my profile shows me with my natural hair color, but for the past year, I’ve been going blonde! And oh my goodness, it is a huge struggle!!! So much money and countless hours at the salon. I completely understand! I wish I could figure out an easier (and cheaper) alternative also! I’m there with you, sister!

just a heads up! if you wanna get rid of orange tones, i've heard it's better to use blue shampoo since blue is the opposite of orange on the color wheel so it'll cancel out the orange tones in your hair. you might also be able to cancel it out with some toner, maybe? i'm not a hairdresser or anything! this is just what i've read when i was researching ways to touch-up my hair at home.

Going blonde is really difficult but your grandma did good and it’s important to take breaks so your hair can have a break. Doesn’t look bad 💗 you’re grandma is so sweet, one more session & you should have what you want 😁

your hair isnt that dark! and your application looked nice and even, not overlapping. if you had just used a proper bleach and developer followed by a blonde toner this would probably have worked perfectly! it still looks great though♥♥

The trick to going blond without bleach is use highlift blonde color and then sit under a heat bonnet for 40 minutes. The heat makes it lift.

I dye my own hair and I’ve found the best box to be the L’Oréal Féria, in case you ever try again.

me too! although i did the lightening one and it made it orange lol. I like the light brown ones.

My hair turns brassy when I go blonde too. My hair stylist said it’s because my scalp runs hot and it processes faster at the crown than it does the rest of my hair

You’re a natural brunette?! I really thought you were blonde! But I can tell you were probably blondish as a child! I was, too.

No offense Allison but I don’t like the orange, it’s too harsh from the transition of orange and then suuuuper blonde. My opinion doesn’t mean much obviously but it looked better with your natural roots :( If you like it that’s all that matters but if you don’t like it, I would try and get it fixed ASAP (if it were me) Still love you & I hope this comment isn’t taken the wrong way!
