Hey Justin u should put a power knob on your penn reel. They sell them on eBay. U would need a 45mm knob. It feels so much better then the stock knob.

The Gheenoe and River Hawks look to be the ticket for shallow water fishing looking for one about Sept.

Justin, great video presentation and walkthrough of your Gheenoe. Is your trolling motor the one with 5 speeds forward and three speed for reverse? Or do you have the variable speed one? Also are you comfortably able to make it all day trolling with a full-charge? Please advise. Thank you.

@@justin_menendez I will to do the same and get the more expensive Minn Kota Riptide 55/T Variable speed. In the long run, I think I will be happier than the Riptide 5-speed one. The battery saving its well worth the price. Thank you.

I got it custom made for my boat, I dont think you could find that pad anywhere retail.

What county do you live in?

What kind of battery do you have? What kind of hours are you getting on the trolling motor with it? What kind of maintenance do you do to the gheenoe after a trip?

Im sorry Im not sure what battery I have, I think its a size 24? I get about 2-3 trips out of it delending on how windy it is. After a trip I spray down the whole boat with fresh water and rinse the motor. About once a month Ill clean the boat with soap.

Hey how long is the arm that sticks off the side of gheenoe you attatchment the motor to . I’m building one myself and was just wondering and how thick and wide the arm piece is ....

How sturdy is that trolling motor mount? Do you leave your trolling motor on the mount while driving the boat around on the trailer? The mount I have now I just don’t trust while driving my boat on the trailer.

Yes I use a 6 ft.

How do you keep bait alive in just the 5gallon bucket? And how many shrimp, how many mullet, how many white bait can you keep in it and then stay alive?

Just a battery powered aerator. You could keep 5+ dozen shrimp alive and about 10-12 mullet.

Maybe a dumb question, but why wouldn't you carry a paddle in case the engine dies? Is it because the trolling motor is a backup?

Yeah trolling motor is a backup and in the case trolling motor and motor dont work than I have the push pole.

I fish Key West in my 13ft high side and having paddle as back up incase you go over deep water is essential

You dont miss having a jack plate for your 9.9? It made a big difference on my Gheenoe

How is the stability on this thing? I know it says the capacity is 675 but will it hold two grown men with the motors gas tank etc. comfortably? Or does it get sketchy at that point?
