I'm not a big saltwater fisherman, simply because I don't live near it, first of all. Not long ago(when I actually had money to do it) I rented a house down just south of Tampa on an island that had to be accessed by ferry. It had it's own private dock on a canal that I knew had tons of mullet in it, due to the fact that they were jumping 24/7 and it reaked of fish, in a gooood way, if you're a fisherman. I tried like, artificial lures and stuff and finally caught a small jack on a silver spoon. This exited me greatly because I don't catch stuff like that often. On the day before we left, I took the ferry off island to get some things and found some frozen, whole bait shrimp and bought them, not really knowing if they would really work. Well, they worked, and worked really well! Every time I put one out there something hit it. This canal was loaded and I had just been using the wrong bait. From now on, every time I go inshore fishing, I'm getting me some whole shrimp, alive if possible.

Sheepshead are some of the weirdest fish to hook. One time I somehow accidentally hooked one in the poop shute (the hook was actually in the hole) it broke me off on a piling. 10 minutes later I caught that same fish with my hook still inside its hole.
