Do you buy them in bulk and send them out yourself or when the customer buys the product the manufacturers send them out? And if so how do you know for sure if they’re going to properly package them up and send them out to the customers?

Plus most suppliers do not ship your item on time meaning you get bad reviews and they do not deal with refunds. Whilst all the good well-established suppliers are cutting deals with rich loyal customers who will undercut you to death. You know nothing mate

But it's far from dead, you just have to put in the WORK. Also, if you're trying to build your own brand, starting with dropshipping will help you build the foundation of starting your own brand. Just because it didn't work for you, doesn't mean you can shit on it and say nobody else will make it. Selling shit online will never be dead and as a matter of fact most people shop online anyway these days
