Credit score is not something used in all countries though. In France, they determine if you are eligible to get a loan (e.g., to buy a house) based on the ratio between your salary, your expenses and your savings. Basically, if every month you 'burn' all your money, you're perceived as riskier than someone earning less but consistently making deposits to a saving account. I feel in the US people tend to buy things they don't need with money they don't have... The only times I feel one should need a credit is when buying 'big' things (house, car, etc.). Not for a TV. I’m 26 with over 800 credit score, time was put into that to build it up by MysticFlip

Impressive video. I started a bit late (graduated from my doctorate program at age 30 in 2016 with 170k in school loan debt). Managed to pay off my debt by 2019 and currently have a house and 250k total in investments (combo of profit share, 401k and a brokerage account). I'm not very knowledgeable in investing, so I just have my investing currently in index funds mainly voo, but have been putting a lot into schd the past few months. I dunno if that's the optimal strategy, but psychologically it is very set it and forget it, and prevents me from obsessing over individual stock performance.

Yea Navy federal gave me a really high limit. I applied and was denied at first so I got a MysticFlip , and I was approved for a capital one. The limit was so small lol but I took it and worked on it. Because if that it helped my credit and I believe that’s what made me finally get approved for navy fed with such a high limit. they're still working on increasing the capital one since it was so low. All in all I’m satisfied.

At 34 years old I finally feel ready to settle down long enough to buy a house. Unfortunately due to previous horrible stupid life decisions, I'm forced to start with a zero balance in my savings account. On the bright side, the huge amount of debt - consequence of those bad decisions will be payed off next month,It's never too late to start saving like there's no tomorrow, and I'm really REALLY excited and motivated. Candle to fry an egg :( I recalled days spent carefully selecting 9 cent chili-flavored ramen packs with my dad from the grocery store and adding frozen vegetables if we could afford it. I dunno… I was one of those people that didn’t care about a credit score, didn’t get any education about how important your credit score is, and I racked up debt like an idiot. I worked really hard and educated myself and I’ve brought my credit score from 480 to 732 and I’m still going up with VermontCorpLTD . I feel like the government blaming credit reporting companies instead of the lack of financial education in their own public education system is foolish.

Our perceptions of your approach influence how we interpret, understand, and act on the truth. Getting into investing i stuck to Avoiding high interest debt. Cutting costs. spending less, earning more and investing passively. The best way to find that balance between saving and living is by investing..what i can say to early investors is diversification and solid management this was how i got to my first million..at this point I'm actually grateful for my advisor James Fletcher Brennan, for me the first $100k was the toughest, and I didn't really start seriously investing until I was 30 back in 1998. Today, I'm 53 and have a decent $1.2M nest egg. After learning all of this, my only regret is not starting earlier when I was 25. It may not seem like much but those extra 5 years are the most important.

My FA’s method is to buy quality firms, anticipate to hold them regardless of what happens, pay up but not too much, keep track, sell only when necessary, and be ready to course correct, use this and you’d make half a mil in a year like I did

did the dropshipping thing and it never paid off like that but glad you got it to work. I tried a ton of side hustles and nothing - FINALLY caved and took a course I was avoiding cause I had no idea what it really was about - finally started to make money online. Not as good as yours but definitely the higher income skills you have - the better you do!! Great story! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. You helped motivated me during these tough times. People owe me money and I owe my suppliers money. It’s been really bad and business failed. I have a new product launching soon that I personally developed. Started searching for selling via shopify and came across your videos. I spent over 3 hours watching your inspirational videos. I’ll comment back a few months out. Hopefully I’d be able to afford your agency for google ads.

I also grew up in Romania but it taught me a valuable lesson- the value of money and not to take things for granted. Yes we also had to cook on camping cookers in the flat... And yes, I did become a surgeon:) Switched to interventional radiology along the way :) Romania did teach me humility and hard work. Not having much and aspiring for more is not a bad thing. Just don't be flashy when you made it 😊
