Gav! I’m a barista and a fun tip to prevent your steam wand from blocking up again is after you steam your milk get a damp cloth, wipe the wand and then turn the wand on so it steams again, this will purge out any little leftover milk in the wand and help it last longer between deep cleans!

I’m often at 10 hours a day, but that’s because I stream everything from my phone. Spotify, Yt, tv, etc. A lot of shit just streaming in the background while I do chores 😅

I have a suggestion! I really liked the series where you have to read and enjoy KZreadrs favorite books or unsubscribe. I found so many great KZreadrs and recommendations in that series. I know you don’t like the unsubscribing bit, which is fair, so my suggestion is to make the penalty having to read their least favorite book of the year. Who knows, you might have opposite tastes and love it! Or we get to hear you rant about it a la Den of Vipers, which is a win either way for us. 😂

I already knew how things turned out with the original house (congratulations, btw), but I was still getting a little excited for you at the idea of moving closer to Becca. Granted, I'm a total stranger who doesn't know either of you, but part of me was disappointed that didn't work out. The new place does sound lovely. I hope you are able to vlog a lot of the moving process, though it would be understandable if you're too stressed for that when the time comes.

@@Shelf_ImprovementIf you look in his video description, the song is officially licensed by him (I‘m pretty sure that means you pay to use it), so he is allowed to play it without a copy right strike. I‘ve noticed this in a lot of his videos, it really shows that he goes the extra mile to make his content amazing! :)

Yeah I can’t do this challenge without having to do some calculating because my screen time is crazy as I listen to like 10 hour sleep stories/ rain at night so my screen time is like an average of 15 hours a day as I listen to podcasts during the day as well haha

I love Animal Farm! Read it several times. I feel the need to point out that this book has nothing to do with humans vs. animals. George Orwell wrote Animal Farm as an allegory about the rise of the Soviet Union and the dangers of communism.

⬆️ I came here to make this exact comment. I had to write a paper on Animal Farm in high school, and it’s even more interesting when you know what Orwell was trying to convey with the story. I was hoping Gavin would do a little more digging on the book and stumble upon this information. It was interesting to hear his perspective on it, though.

So glad you liked animal farm in the end! Mostly I see people reading this one at uni and analysing it, so it is kind of nice to hear someone's opinion who has picked it up otherwise. It's definitely my favourite Orwell as I find it incredibly clever and it does the satire so very well. I had a good time with you should see me in a crown as well! Very cute and enjoyable and had some meaningful moments to it too. I love Poirot but I still need to read mysterious affair of styles and I should really get on that. Having so many videos SCHEDULED is absolutely amazing, your POWER! I could never haha.

We had to read animal farm in school. It represents the Russian revolution of 1917 with Marx and Stalin

So SO happy for you getting the house you wanted!! As for the books you read- I absolutely LOVE KJ Charles so I hope you give her work another try sometime! She's definitely more on the romantic suspense with a side of sass type of writer so if you were looking for a more chill read I can see that not matching your mood. Also, The Nobleman's Guide to Seducing a Scoundrel is book 2 of a duology so I'm not sure if you read book 1 but she typically plots her series to have interlocking plots that need to be read in order even if the individual titles follow different couples. I highly recommend Band Sinister or The Henchmen of Zenda if you want to try one of her standalones. Society of Gentlemen is a fantastic series as is Sins of the Cities but they both absolutely need to be read in order.

Funnily enough I had the same experience with an apartment where i was second choice, mourned the place when i didn't get it and then eventually got it in the end. 😅 I currently live in this place and i live it so much! I was so unhappy at my last place and the property and landlord were also shite. So i can kinda feel how you're feeling, especially with the feeling that you feel like you can't really celebrate yet. But like I said, I'm very, very happy for you!!

I normally hate fairy lights on bookshelves cause I think they look so messy and distracting when they are off but I honestly always forget you have them because on your shelves they look subtle. I don't know if it is because the wiring is white or what but well done on being the only person to ever successfully pull off fairy lights on bookshelves 👏😂 Also I really feel for you on the moving front, I remember how I felt waiting to see if I got the house I wanted, the stress of the clock ticking and then the elation of finally getting something. My screen time today has been absolutely unhinged. But I have foster kittens, so I'm constantly taking photos and videos, and then I have my phone in hand and it's so easy to get distracted by social media 😭 generally I'm 'okay' with my screen time (it's still too much, but not as much as today 😂).

I am really curious on how youre gonna pack your books for moving. I unfortunately move alot, so Ive packed and moved hundreds of books. I use smaller totes, easier to carry weight wise. Get about 15-25 books a box depending on the book size. Also looked at my screen time and wooo, i need to get off my phone.

I looked at this book as what happened to my parents as they became involved in the Cuban Revolution. Both for and against Castro.

I do remember watching Animal Farm the movie back when I was super young. I loved talking animals at that age, but should NOT have watched it then lol
