    Don't forget that the driver's education in Germany is structured completely differently than in the US. Here there are special driving instructors. A theoretical part with over 1000 questions to learn. Highway driving is part of the training. In addition, there is a minimum amount of driving hours with the driving instrutor in order to be admitted to practical test.

    @@judywe4941 It is called: adjusted speedlimit. If the circumstances okay and there are no speedlimit (Indicative speed always 130km/h when free) you can drive more than 130km/h also during education. You can also drive faster when it is busy or rainy. In case of accident you have minimum a partial guilt. So, the traffic fatalities are lower than in the US Our training could be not so bad.🤣 What in the US is 2nd amendment is here the speedlimit.🤭

When you are from Germany you should have heard about serious discussion about speed limit...

Strecken ohne Speedlimit sind vom Verlauf her sehr gut einsehbar.

  • @francoforte4788

    @francoforte4788

    11 ай бұрын

    @@barroomkicks Warum Sicherheitsgründe nicht funktionieren, hab ich bereits erwähnt. Es wird nicht sicherer werden. Im Gegenteil. Es klingt paradox, aber die schweren, tödlichen Unfälle passieren dort wo es Tempolimits gibt. Das weiß auch die Politik und deswegen führt sie dieses Argument gar nicht mehr an. Zumindest die nicht, die Ahnung haben. Glaubst du nicht? Die Statistiken sind öffentlich. Kannste innerhalb 15 min selbst herausfinden. Das Argument Umweltschutz wäre eins, selbst wenn die Effekte kaum messbar wären. Aber das ist auch soweit Geschichte. Sämtliche Autokonzerne verabschieden sich vom Verbrenner. Von Jahr zu Jahr haben wir mehr E-Autos auf den Straßen und weniger Verbrenner. Bedeutet, auch ohne Tempolimit geht die Umweltbelastung durch Fahrzeuge stetig zurück. Als letztes…. viele Bereiche der Autobahn haben bereits ein Tempolimit. Die, die keins haben, bekommen es häufig durch Staus oder zumindest starken Verkehr. Da bleibt am Ende nicht viel, außer die Ideologie derer, die meinen mehr Verbote würden alles besser machen. Dazu zähle ich nunmal nicht. Ich bewerte nach Fakten und die Fakten geben es nicht her, selbst wenn du dir das noch so sehr wünschst 🤷‍♂️🙂

I never was that afraid before and never after. I tried to say that it might be a bit unsecure, but he just argued that he already had a few accidents with similar cars, they have very good security systems and he never got harmed.

    Even for people who grew up in Germany it is hard to get used to high speeds when they drive on the Autobahn for the first time. I remember that I was very nervous and had sweaty hands when my driving instructor said "Take the onramp to the Autobahn over there." and I knew that this was a section without a limit. After about 2-3 training hours and entering/exiting the Autobahn roughly 20 times I felt way less nervous and nowadays driving my Tesla Model 3 way north of 200 km/h is just everyday routine. We Germans might be thinking that foreigners overreact a bit when it comes to being nervous on the Autobahn, but if we think twice, we almost all were nervous driving on the Autobahn ourselves for the first time. Of course most Germans don't remember the first time driving on the Autobahn in the passenger seat as a baby, but I guess you were as nervous as a German driver driving there for the first time.
