sorry, but the notion that beacuse 17% voted AFD Germany is suddenly dangerous for foreign visitors or people wanting to move, work and integrate here, is something i find completely ridiculous. There are always buzzwords flying around, most of the time with no absis from both sides since noone wants to listen to the other once they have ascribed themselves to one. The current German government has dropped the ball with the large scale immigration and especially integration of many who are coming here. This is something almost noone denies. that is why trust in them is lacking and the way I see it also the biggest reason the AFD gained so much. But this crisis and being a tourist at Octoberfest have nothing to do with each other. I guarantee you that drunk idiots at this giant festival who may shout slurs at people would have done so without the election results as well (if you personally were to even encounter that. cant say how likely that is, I was never at Oktoberfest)

As a leftist it took me a while to accept this, but the continous heavy immigration from very very conservative, islamic countries (like Syria, Afghanistan, etc) into Germany was and still is a huge mistake. It led to some pretty serious issues in our society and a lot of Germans are not ready to have this conversation but they better should be, because it is the main reason for the strength of the AFD

the reason why in germany most rental flats have nothing is, because you never know who was living there before, so nobody wants a potential nasty ass kitchen and i mean if you dont like the kitchen there what should you do then?

well actually today builded homes have such a good isolation that is warm in the winter and cold in the summer, like 22 Degrees all year around, so i wouldnt say ac is the best solution, its just wastefull

11:11 Again, this is the American thinking.. Businesses don't need a whole lot of parking space unless they are a logistics company (they should be using public transportation). And still, the parking space is inside their premises and is not considered public space. Hospitals don't need that many parking slots. Malls in Europe usually have underground parking that goes several floors downwards. This is done to save residential space and save money in the long run. America does it always the lazy way. Slap 10000 parking spaces next to a mall that is as big as central London, make people walk for 30 minutes to it. I know I'm exaggerating but I'm not that far from reality. I've seen those mile long parking lots. They are always 90+% empty. Always.

With this video, you've positioned yourself as a reasonable and responsible individual, unlike 21% of Germans (AfD and BSW voters). Congratulations! I think one of the main reasons for AfD's rise to power, besides deep-seated racism in Germany, is also the lack of online presence by traditional parties. Populists successfully use social media to make their positions more palatable and appeal to young people. I personally voted for Volt, an anti-AfD movement that advocates for greater EU integration and aims to create a United States of Europe.

I have a woodframe construction house, BUT you'll break your hands on its walls too. We, in Germany, do make double layered walls: gipsum board + drywall, OSB3 + drywall, drywall + drywall. I have the gipsum + drywall variant. On top of that, there is insulation even in the inner walls. Also, we don't need to scan for studs as gipsum or OSB3, as the bottom layer, hardly requires anchors for a good hold; even for heavy loads. Besides of that, we have a ton of different anchor types for various applications specific for dry walls. As for the AC-argument, I would say, it depends on the house. In general, we have blinds on the windows which help a lot to keep the heat out. My house has thermal coated triple pane windows which reduce the amount of heat which can pass through and I do have have some kind of a HVAC system; permanent air flow exchange (24/7; pollen filtered). So, it only really gets hot in here, on very hot days in the upper floor rooms (that is, under the roof (which has 32cm thick insulation to the attic and double layered ceilings)), but for these few days, I can just let a fan run (through the night). Thus, in my humble opinion, it's not really worth it to have an AC...

10:53 Is that a bad thing? LOL! Of course it is bad. Very bad. Especially in a city where housing is very expensive. And even in smaller towns, the more prime residential space is dedicated to parking lots, the more expensive real estate becomes. That's not a very hard math to do. Take San Francisco. It's the perfect example of how wrong things can get in USA, for the people mostly. And recently, even states like Tennessee and Montana are witnessing real estate overpricing like never before. MONTANA FFS! Too much space is used for parking and for useless 6XL malls that eventually get demolished.

When I learned about the history of the Weimar Republic and the Third Reich as a teenager at school, I couldn't understand how our grandparents and parents could allow something like this to happen. Now I have seen for several years, more clearly every year, that it seems to be happening again. And I don't know what to do about it. Except talking. But this seems unsuccessful given the stupidity of people and the greed for power and blindness of our established politicians. I see strong parallels in the political and social trends to the 1920s. Thinking about the 1930s and 1940s makes me sick. My only consolation is that I'm already that old and probably won't have to experience all of this anymore.

If you read the comments carefully, you will notice that some explanations are repeated almost word for word. These are the ideas that the media programs into people's heads. It really works frighteningly well. If only these people would know... PS: The AfD is probably the only serious opposition that Germany still has.

2:02 Hey James, Germany did become more dangerous during the last decade. But the origin of the Danger is NOT the so called altright! We have very much attacks from foreigner from near and middle east, who promote the califat or picking random people on street for "knife-jihaad". AfD is the only party, politically fighting against it. On Octoberfest there is no Danger from the right for you, but danger for everyone because of knife-jihaad. AfD is although the only Party protecting the people from so call "climat-protection". That is a huge reason to vote AfD. 4:27 There is a lot of bad framing against AfD. Ask yourself: How far right could a Party be, whichs members voted a lesbian, who is married to a non-european female foreigner and raising children in this rainbowfamily, as head of the Party, be? Dr. Alice Weidel is lesbian and living the rainbowfamily!

it is indeed very scary. 16% of people voting literal nazis into the eu parliament is crazy. right-wing extremists in second place. you would think that us germans should know better, but no. with so many people either not knowing or not caring what happened and what the afd wants to do, it could happen again, and holocaust survivors are warning us, but some people just don't care. fuck nazis, fuck afd. nie wieder

You ask if there is a point... It's litteraly the only party in germany without one single point to really change anything for anyone besides helping rich people to get even richer.. But they pretend to have all the other points. Also they took all the talkingpoints from oldschool nazis and mostly use words that sound nicer. In some points they don't even bother to put it differently. Like when it comes to "Gutmenschen" or "politische Korrektheit" they straight up talk like Hitler and Göbbels... They even founded their own institute years ago to find out how to say things without them sounding like what they are actually saying. Fascism never dissapeared in germany. We just mostly ignored that problem for decades. Antifa was repeatedly highlighted as THE problem and fascists were downplayed. Anyone who named it was called crazy... and now it is what it is.. My english is not so well but I hope you understand what I mean.
