Taiwan is one of my favorite places to visit for a short holiday (been there twice within this year alone), different but yet also familiar for me as a Singaporean.
I am Malaysian. But i loveeee Taiwan. Love the streets food. I would like to visit Taiwan again soon❤
Taiwan is becoming more and more famous in the world. In the past, many foreigners thought Taiwan was Thailand.

Taiwan was more commonly called Formosa. Thailand was called Siam at the time.

Taiwan was once ruled by Japan for 50 years (1895-1945), and there are many things and customs left by Japan

@@user-WinniePooh0604 Modern times are mainly influenced by Japanese pop culture. The only things affected by the Japanese occupation period are the old buildings and the pronunciation of Taiwanese.
3:12 USD×30≈NTD 4:40 The bird on the back of the NT$1,000 banknote is the national bird Taiwan Mikado Pheasant. The background is the highest peak in Taiwan, Yushan. The surrounding plants, such as Yushan Thistle and golden clematis, are all endemic to Taiwan. 16:29 This is not a night market actually, it's Ximending, a shopping street
Although Taipei is not the most populated city in Taiwan, it is the densest. Taipei and the surrounding New Taipei, plus the port city of Keelung, make up the greater Taipei metropolitan area. Try to get a reloadable Easy Card. It makes taking the metro, local trains, and buses very easy.

Okay thanks for sharing 👍
Very well done! I've watched quite a few vlogs about Taiwan, but yours provides some real time experience such as how to get out of the airport then get to Taipei, etc. , which is so important for foreigners as to getting around. It makes me want to visit Taiwan at my soonest opportunity. Thank you so much for sharing.
Such a great video! I love Taiwan and can't wait to visit again. I hope you find a night market with tons of food! If you get the chance, try stinky tofu and I'd also recommend a roasted sweet potato. SO good!! 🤩
I stayed in Hsinchu for four yrs, very very nice place, i love tw
Welcome to Taiwan, I wish you a wonderful day in Taiwan ❤❤❤☺️☺️☺️💪💪💪🇹🇼🇹🇼🇹🇼
OMG, you really came! I've been watching you since that video of you in Singapore, and I was wondering if you would come. Turns out you really did! Amazing!
So nice to see Taipei again after so many years! Thanks for bringing us along on the journey. :)

Man, if you were to turn right at the first street performer there were some pretty good braised pork with rice to try, found myself talking at the screen 😂😂
I am going to taiwan soon this video is really helpful to me.😊
Hope you enjoyed your stay. Miss my family, friends and all the yummy foods in Taiwan!!!
Nice walkthrough ! Welcome to Taiwan
I love East Asia! I love Taiwan!
22:50 You should have bought Taiwanese beer in can at that 7-11. It is quite cheap. And they have a good variety of beer there.

He doesnt exactly know how to save money. Spends 8$ on a beach towel in Vietnam. Go to any dollar store like a Daiso for 1-2$ towel. He could have had an Omar/Kavalan world famous whiskey for 300 TWD instead gets lower end Taiwanese beer.
i want to go to taiwan 👍

Taiwan is beautiful country 😍😍
Your Japanese dinner looked really delicious! What you had ate in the blue warm cup is called Chawanmushi. If or when you visit Japan, and I think you sort of gave it away. From my understanding, the Japanese once had a major influence in Taiwan, so you may see lots of similarities when you get to Japan. Enjoy your travels!!!
Looking forward to your adventures in TW.
Welcome to Taiwan❤❤❤❤
Omg! So happy to see you visiting my country ❤❤❤
Welcome to Taiwan and have a nice trip.

Hello, I am Korean! I'm going to Taipei in July, so can I get a recommendation for a good restaurant?❤❤
thanks for the video.....I am heading to Taipei this afternoon from Phuket. I'll have 9 days on the island in Taipei and Kaohsiung. I have done tons of research and watched hours of video. I am surprised that people travel to a new country and do so little research about what to see and how to get around. I liked your step by step walk through of the airport and using the MRT. I'll be doing that at 7:00 tonight!
Welcome to Taiwan! Enjoy your trip.
Welcome to Taiwan❤ I subscribed to this channel 👍
Welcome to Taiwan🤗😘 Enjoy your travel😍🥰
Love your video 🥰 welcome to Taiwan!
I just want to say, you often mention your viewers dont want to see your anime content, but I really enjoy it! I hope to see it more in your future videos!

the restaurant looked nice i think its japanese, ive heard theres a lot of japenese influence there
Reminds me of Japan quite a bit (which I miss...). Shame it's fairly "expensive" when it comes to renting, similarly to Seoul or Japan. SE Asia still is the best option on a budget there, especially Bangkok or KL.
Your videos are amazing 😊
Really enjoyed your video, I've lived in Taipei for over 10 years and lived in Ximen for over 5 years, but haven't been back there for a few months-- fun to see it again and see you enjoying it
Enjoy your trip in Taiwan.
Awesome video ❤❤
hi zane! love your videos. guess im too early here😅😂
228 Park is to commemorate the February 28th massacre in 1947. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/February_28_incident
Welcome to this country Taiwan, the beauty of this coutry is friendliness, food, scene of mountain & sea, democracy and freedom.
Night market is 90% food. If you don’t see food stalls, you were at the wrong place.
Taipei subway system is so cool and so easy to understand! We bought the TPass for T$500 and we got its worth for our 5 days stay back in 2018!
Welcome to Taiwan, I can tell that you loving it. Also the thing that you ain't sure about is called zhen dan/zai wan zen, it literally translate into steam egg. But super popular amongst the Taiwan or Japan culinary, otherwise yes, it is an egg custard. The 228 peace park is a memorial park. PS I thought you were Australian because I am and can understood your accent 😂
FYI- that reprint on the wall in your Airbnb belongs to Yoshitomo Nara, a famous Japanese artist. It will cost you a fortune if it is real.
Hope you have a good journey! Welcome to TAIWAN😊🎉
Welcome to Taiwan. hope can see more videos about Taiwan. take care .
Love your videos 😊
I'm watching where you're walking and I'm like, turn around!! You're walking AWAY from the night market area of Ximen lol.

Do what the locals do and get your beer at PXmart or 7-11 or Family Mart. Taiwan Beer or Bar Beer are popular. :) The steamed egg thing you ate is called Chawanmushi, it's Japanese style steamed egg with a little bit of fish cake. 228 Memorial Day is observed every year in Taiwan on February 28. The number “228” represents the date of February 28, when an uprising led to the massacre of thousands of people in Taiwan. If you have any questions, happy to assist, I lived on Yong Kang Street in Taipei for 3 years, back home for now but will be back in a month. :) Subscribed.
Thanks for the great video. Going to Taipei in March. Which Simcard did you get?
haha xiemen also has many traditional good foods there in some small lanes/streets 😂 You really need a tour guide 😊
Welecome to Taiwan! November to April that is comfortable season in Taiwan.(Recommended by locals)
I named myself Hunter because that comic! I hope you enjoyed Taipei.
Can’t wait to go there in February 2024 ❤
Welcome to Taiwan! ❤👏👏👏👍
Welcome to Taiwan!
Welcome to Taiwan🇹🇼 , you will love here deeply, plz go to Hualien & Taitung, it’s amazing 😊
There are guard guards changes every hour I think. You can take photos. The other buildings hosts opera, musicals, dances, and other performances. You need to get tickets in order to attend.
歡迎來台灣遊玩,希望能帶給你美好時光跟回憶
Hi zane enjoy your trip ❤🇵🇭

Come visit! 😄
hi. I am so glad you´re enjoying your trip to and around Asia. Just like you i also travelled to Taiwan and went same countrie as you will after Taiwan.. people are so kind and helpful. even though I screwed it up big time. Jetlagged. advice. Do not forget your bag and stuff. I eventually landed on my feet. and truly enjoyed Taipei. back then. Taipei was by far the cheapest , food was great and inexpensive. and Hotels also. anyways please tell me. what you like best and maybe not enjoy so much yourself about Taipei?
Don't forget go to museums there's a lots of English signs that u could understand.
If you want to find some cheap and good beer, you can get them from supermarket. "Taiwan beer gold" is good, "18 days" in glass bottles even better.
I miss Taiwan, the people and food😘
welcome to Taiwan🇹🇼
Word of advice. Don’t Uniqlo if you planning on heading to Japan next. I’ve bought a shirt for the same listed price, and JPY is like 1/4 of TWD. You probably also need to know you probably walked by the Animate shop.
You should visit to 7-11 or Family mart in Taiwan , then find Taiwan bear , coffee, any kind food and drinking, even tickets.
well come to taiwan ❤❤❤
Welcome to Taipei
You could also walk into the 7-11 to get food, it’s very different than the one in the state. Give it a go before you left Taiwan!
Fun fact, Chang Kai Shek is not actually Mardarin. Jiang Jie Shi(蔣介石)/ Jaing Zhog Zheng(same person, 蔣中正) if u pronounce it in Mandarin.
You could go inside 711 and get the beer, it would be much cheaper, haha.
In Taiwan, outside of Taiwanese food or Chinese food, Japanese food would be a good choice. There are no lacking of Western food of many countries, including proper English tea places. Muslin food and many vegetarian restaurants are also available.
welcome to Taiwan When you are walking, watch out the traffic
You are welcome to travel to Taiwan, I wish you a happy journey in Taipei!!🎊🎇🎆
Welcome to Taiwan
Yeah Ximending is not a night market it's a shopping street. For night markets in Taipei I recommend Raohe night market.

Ningxia night market is not far from there and would also be a good choice.
The airport has a very decent food court. You should have grabbed a bite there first before you explore a new city. They tried to showcase some famous Taiwanese restaurants over there.😊
"Law abiding society"--except for the driving! lol Unfortunately as you found out Ximen is not a great place to eat.
Should have just asked for what to eat and where because Taipei is renowned for amazing food. I’d never eat anything but Taiwanese food if I’m there!
In Taiwan, 7-11 can sell liquors. One large can cost no more than 2 dollars.
welcome to taiwan
Never been this early
That was Chawanmushi or Japanese steamed egg. Although I’ve never seen it served in a sealed container like that before. Haha. Usually steamed and served in a ramekin.
Welcome to Taiwan. ;-)
So good 👍👍👍
If U need any help,U can ask anyone Taiwanese people. 90% they will try the best to help U ❤😊
welcome to Taiwan
wecome to Taiwan!
Quite like how I first came to Taiwan, just fell in love with it and still continues to visit. Plus the people are also helpful and nice. 😊
nice
Welcome to Taiwan 🇹🇼 ! It’s a beautiful island country with a beautiful name of Formosa. Hope you have a wonderful trip here in Taiwan. Be careful when you walking on the streets . Walking in Taiwan is more dangerous than driving!
Welcome to Taiwan! 20:27 This is steamed eggs😆
You should get the beer from 7-11. It would be much cheaper.
It’s baked eggs with sea food.
Good video.
