Love the snow! We were on holiday in Yorkshire and got snowed in for a couple days. Was great!! The good thing is you want to do Van Life, for you own freedom/mental health, whatever your reasons you keep on doing it. It's giving you enjoyment, days out, seeing new things! With the YouYube element, try not to worry so much about the analytics and views, any new channel takes a while to grow, you keep on doing your videos, each one gets better and will entertain your audience. Not everyone will like every video, but so long as those who enjoy your content keep coming back that's the main thing. Over time it will grow, people will find your channel and relate to you and your journey. Don't sweat the KZread, that can take time - enjoy what you do, make videos for you as if you are documenting your Van Life journey, the rest will come over time. Personally, I like you sense of humour, your honesty and your try-hard attitude (even when you lost the Van and had to walk further than you were comfortable with) :) Keep them coming!

Wow! Thank you so much! 😘 This was such a lovely comment to wake up to. It's currently 1:58am and I'm feeling the urge to film again for the first time in over a week. From the weather you can see that it's been a while since I last managed to vlog. I've been in a slump, but I'm pulling through, thanks in large part to comments like yours, which help me over the bumps and keep me moving. Thank you! Everything you say about KZread creating is, of course, totally true. And I know it. But sometimes it's hard to put into practice - especially when coping with preexisting mental health issues. But I'm determined to keep on trucking! 😁😊😘

Thanks, Debbi. 😊 As it turns out, driving a big van in the snow is not so different from driving a car. I was scared at first, but I quickly got used to it. I did have a bit of a panic on a steep hill, but arrived at my destination with reasonably clean undies. 😉😁x

I can't drive so your winter van driving is particularly brave and daring in my book. It's good that you are experiencing all four seasons (that was not a pizza reference) 😀❤

Hey, SuS, there was some weird glitch and this comment ended up in the "held for review" section. Sorry if I inadvertently appeared rude. I think it was less the Greek yogurt and more the fact that I accidentally grilled it rather than baked it! Oops! lol 🤣

I love the magical atmosphere you created with the music and the snow footage. Beautiful. Analytics are dangerous, I would advise paying as little attention to them as possible. Easier said than done. A two ingredient recipe, what could possibly go wrong! Shaking and baking, like a boss :D "Nutter talking to pizzas" xD I laughed so hard at that!

Thank you, so much, Jere. 😘 Magical atmosphere was exactly what I was aiming for, although in fairness nature did that all by itself without help from me. 😍 I agree, analytics are dangerous and I should stay away from them. Easier said than done, though. 😉 As you know, this video was filmed a couple of weeks ago, and I've continued to spiral downward, due to all the issues with my unruly brain. But thanks to you and the other core group of commenters who keep picking up my pieces, I'm nearly reassembled and Humpty Dumpty will ride again! 😁👍😘x

Years ago we used to get loads of pepperoni on pizzas, these days you only get about 5 slices on a 12" pizza. So what I do now is buy the pizza bits from Tesco so I can put my own pepperoni on it and can use some English cheeses on it (I have nothing against Italians, I just think our cheeses work better).

Haha! Thanks, Dan. 😊 Yes, I have a scraper, but I avoid using it. Too much effort, and I also can't reach. I cheat and use warm (not hot) water in a plastic bag to dab at and defrost the area I can reach, and let the heater do the rest. 😉

'NUTTER' haha. I've driven in snow once in my life, during a driving lesson (I don't drive at all nowadays btw), and that was.. an experience! Scary for sure. I'm glad some people let you go first with the van in the snow. Yay for getting your medication! It does look like a car park in the middle of Narnia! Awww for the castle ghost hunt video not getting the analytics you were hoping for 😭. Your videos are amazing, why don't more people watch you. The snowy woods are beautiful indeed! Oh yes flour is always messy here. It's not your fault, flour is just like that (here anyway). Shaking and baking 😂. I like salami and pepperoni on a pizza too! I usually make the bits smaller because my teeth are positioned such that I can't chop up such a (ie) salami slice with my teeth. Oh we don't have that leftover chicken thing. Mmm mozzerella and cheddar. It's almost impossible to get proper cheddar here in NL (we have other cheeses though that are also nice). Aww for the pizza not tasting good. I love homemade pizza (and non-homemade pizza), I've never made dough with yoghurt before. Great video again! I hope the co-op pizza tasted nice!

Aw for you and your poorly positioned teeth! 🤣 I'm sorry, that just made me chuckle. We have so many varieties of cheese here, a staggering selection, including hundreds of different cheddars. I've noticed that there's less choice in many European countries, including NL, but I do like whatever the cheese is that I used to have on my pancakes in Amsterdam. Yummy! My pizza would have been lovely, but it was raw. It turned out I'd grilled it rather than baked it, so the dough was uncooked and gooey! lol. The co-op pizza was perfect, and I baked it in my proper oven at home, rather than in the van. I had planned on re-cooking the van pizza in the oven at home, but I took a corner too quickly on my way back and the pizza flew across the van and splatted all over the floor! 🤣🤣🤣🍕

Shame about the pizza. I don't like getting my hands messy with dough or pastry, it all goes in the mixer, but probably not an option for van life! I often have to pause a video,I hope that doesn't count as stopping and moving on. I have 3 cats, and they can be quite naughty if I try and ignore them when they want something, so I have to pause the videos to stop the cats destroying the furniture! Despite all my efforts, they remain horribly feral at times. The snowy walk looked lovely, very picturesque.

Don't worry, Sandra. I'm pretty sure you can pause and resume without harming the analytics. But more importantly, you shouldn't have to question your viewing habits and feel guilty about them! I feel awful for making you think that way. I'm sorry. Everyone knows that the analytics are evil and should be ignored. It was my fault for going there. I should just enjoy my life, make the films I want to make, and let my viewers do their own thing without pressure or interference. I've just been in a slump. But I'm doing better now. You shouldn't have to explain anything. Just give your cats some cuddles from me. 😊😘😺x

Oh Kit, the pizza looked great... well, until it was 'cooked''..... then it looked a little bit, shall we say..... underdone? But points for trying!!!! I think you grilled it instead of baking it?? Today one of my many worries came true...... i was out in my van, i had parked up and decided to listen to my audio book through the speakers in the van, playing it via my phone on bluetooth, but i was worried my phone might go flat so i plugged it in to the van.... left the ignition on so it would charge up... and all was great! UNTIL i tried to start the van to go home and found i now had a flat battery in the van and it wouldn't turn the engine over..... OMG I rang the green flag breakdown people ( me also having a breakdown) and told them i have a blue badge so hurry please! Incredibly they were with me within 30 minutes, got me started and i drove home all the time worried in case the van stopped and i couldn't get it going again.... i really would have liked them to follow me home and make sure i got back ok but i am a hopeless dreamer. Apparently my van battery is knackered so tomorrow i need to get a new one. So that's another grey hair for me and a lesson learned about not using the battery whilst the engine is off. I need to start thinking things through better. :-(

Oh, my! That sounds stressful! Well, it's probably teaching grandma to suck eggs, but for not much money you can buy a battery pack power bank with cables specifically designed for starting a vehicle with a flat battery. I keep one in my glove box just in case. That way you don't need to rely on rescue services or another motorist. 😊 Treasure that grey hair. Better that than no hair! 😉😁 Oh, also, get some USB power banks for all your other devices too. I have three high powered units, each with 2 USB power outlets, so I can have 6 devices in use or charging at once, without draining my engine or leisure batteries. It's the only way I can do things with all my filming equipment but a total lack of solar. But it works. 😊 Thanks for watching. And you were right, I grilled it by mistake. 🤣

@@kitsworld I will get one of those power banks capable of starting the van to save further breakdown drama, but i am ashamed to say that not only do i have a power bank for my phone... i even had it with me all charged up but didn't think to use it..... i am an idiot! But a nice one :-) Thanks for the suggestions Kit... i need steering in the right direction most days but today i must have left my thinking head at home

@@twish1999 Well, there's certainly no need for shame. The power bank for your phone would not have started your van anyway, even if you had a cable to connect it to your battery, as it would be too low-powered. USB power banks are about 5 volts output, fine for most devices, but to start a car you need 12 volts. But you could probably have used your power bank for that audiobook and not drained your engine battery too... so, yeah, oops! 😆 We live and learn. I'm still a total novice at vanlife, so you probably shouldn't pay too much attention to anything I say. 😉x

@@twish1999 Excellent. It's peace of mind that hopefully you'll never need. I think the important thing is to NOT connect the negative cable to the battery itself, but rather to an exposed part of the van's metal. But obviously read the instructions carefully. 😊

Thanks for the lovely snowy forest scenery Kit. It reminded me of winters back home. I don't need it any colder than the 46degrees Fahrenheit it was here in Huntington Beach this morning though, as I can't afford heat. I'm worried about your health & eating habits! I fervently wish you would become a vegan, but I won't lecture you. It's just hard to watch someone that you care about sabotage their life with a poor diet. I also know you're an animal lover. Thanks, Barbara. 😊 I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sorry if I made you cringe. I was going for comedy really. I apologise too for the use of meat products. I know there are one or two vegans watching, and I wondered about maybe doing a vegan pizza, but it would have felt disingenuous to do that, as I am not one myself. I could get into a whole long discussion about why, but this is not the time or place for it. Suffice it to say that I honour and respect the vegan ethic, and would prefer to live in a world where no animals are killed, abused, or exploited by human beings for any reason ever. But I have many other battles to fight and issues to deal with and I can only cope with so many things at once. I spent the last 20 years housebound and in bed. Suddenly I'm doing Van Life, with all the stresses and fears that come with it. I may seem unhealthy now, but it's a vast improvement on how I was. At least I'm getting out now and trying to be productive. 😊x
