LOVEBITES was in Paris on the 25 of june 🇨🇵. It was magic. They've put fire on the small venue. It was on a basement of old building no air conditionned or recycle système. It was hot as hell. Miyako ( dark hair) was caufing and tired but she played perfection as always. Asami the singer give me a check. I was in front row. They've give me stars on my eyes. 🇨🇵🇯🇵🎸🎤🥁. Métal Reborn in Japan and womens take the lead.

Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about them: The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album came out in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings. Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023. LOVEBITES just finished touring in Europe. I saw them for the first time 3 weeks ago 🤘🏼🐺🔥 They will be in the US later this year. I was there too at the garage, and I agree 💯, they sound sooo good in real life, it's unbelievable, a great night and the stage presence of these ladies is ridiculously good. I went down from Nottingham, it was more than worth the journey. Would I do it again? To be honest, I'd pay double what I paid for a second show 🤘🎸🎤🎹🥁🐺🇬🇧

LOVEBITES considers the UK to be the birthplace of heavy metal, and they give it preferential treatment over other countries, and their first overseas gig was on the Hyper Japan Xmas stage. They are also affiliated with "X-Ray Touring" in the UK, so when they tour overseas, they will most likely choose the UK next to Japan.

Yes, Miyako and Midori (guitarists) have been known to harmonize once or twice...per song.

It's a shame that you only just found out about them. They were here last week, and a couple of weeks before that. Hopefully they'll be back soon, I miss them already and I need to see them a third time.

Lovebites are a Japanese metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, and Haruna, Drums, who are former members of Destrose, a band that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. The blond 'Amazon Warrior' who is also a body builder. Miyako, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards. the 'serious' one with long black hair. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions.. Both Guitarists play lead, swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play amazingly good harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university, playing her first live show with the band in March 2023. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was about 16. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. If you enjoyed this song, here are a few recommendations for further listening. Miyako, the dark haired guitarist, has a habit of doing the "I am shredding, easy isn't it" thing. If there are two I would say don't sleep on, its Broken By the Scream and Maximum The Hormone. Might like them or not, but they tend to really catch people off guard and also create amazing reactions. I didn't know Bridear were in the UK. Nice! But obviously, just go with which ones are grabbing your interest the most.

The thing people don't get when they comment on Miyako acting like her solo was "nothing" is that actually she's just completely as one with her guitar and putting her whole being into it. Playing guitar well is a subtle and gentle action, even when it's melting your face off. Miyako's movements are 100% her in the music, in the moment and bearing her soul through her instrument. Toki (Aldious), Yuki (D-Drive) and Saki (Lot's of bands) do this too and it's just a joy to watch every time.

Saw them live 3 weeks ago. And yes, they are as good as you have seen them 😆Take a look! They are touring in the US for a few concerts in September, so don't miss them 😂. And for J-Metal > Babymetal is missing. Best one to start "Road to Resistance" 2023 live. Killa. And then you have to jump into the deeeeeeeeeeeep rabbit hole of European Metal. For Symphonic Metal Nightwish and Epica. You have to meet the goddess valkyrie and the siren. Perhaps this will be interesting to you. In May 2017, the first EP of LOVEBITES was released in Japan. In October 2017, the first Studio Album of LOVEBITES was released. And already in November 2017, LOVEBITES were invited to London, where they played three concerts. Lovebites' rabbit hole is deep and long, even though the band was only founded in 2016. The founders were the fantastic bassist Miho and the - in my eyes - incredible drummer Haruna. Haruna, who I always affectionately call little big engine! A rather shy personality with the heart and skills of a lion on the drums. The M-Pack quickly joined, meaning the incomparable Midori (acoustic and electric guitar - the wild stage performer) and the not too highly rated musician Miyako [pianist, guitarist, composer - who can not only play the guitar seriously, no, she can also laugh and smile at concerts - I'm providing video evidence here ;-)] Also an important tip for beginners - the grand piano is not just an ornament on the big stage for Lovebites - really not! Music can also have lyrics and the majority - not all, but the majority - of Lovebites' lyrics are written by Asami, the band's charismatic singer. Unfortunately, Miho resigned as Lovebites' bassist in 2021 and later that year, the young, talented Fami was introduced as the band's new bassist. I myself have been a fan of the band since my unexpected live experience at Wacken Open Air 2018 - wow, the women have blown us away with their skills, their performance on stage and quite simply with their music! Wow, wow, wow! Since then, I've loved howling with the wolf pack and have had some great moments in Japan and here in Europe - an incredibly great band and please give them the big stages in Europe too - please, please, please!

Thanks for taking a look at LOVEBITES. Great band that would have much bigger if they were around in the late 70s or so. I get the comparison to UTA in terms of sound, though this song is highly reminiscent of “Wolf and Raven” by Sonata Arctica. It’s funny that you mention that Asami (vocalist) has great control, and she usually does, but there’s times she goes off the rails to a greater or lesser extent. For example, the second extended note toward the end is cut off a little early because she’s running out breath. Not a big deal, but I noticed it on my first listen and some vocal coaches have noticed it too. While LOVEBITES was on their European tour, they got to meet Babymetal at one of the festivals and sent out a pic of both groups together. It would be cool if they did some sort of collab because Babymetal could lend a lot of equity to LOVEBITES.

Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you should check out is Bridear. Founded in 2011, they were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. They have gone through some changes but have always kept their hard, heavy, technical sound. Their tiny bassist even does death growls! They just released their new album on June 28 (Japan time), and it’s a banger. BURRN is calling it a masterpiece. The Metal Hammer review compares them to Lovebites. Here's one diryou if you like Nightwish or Epica or similar. Do Versailles Faith and Decision live with English Subtitles. This is an all Male band....yes that is a dude. When you see them you'll know what i mean.
