The Drummer Haruna is a Beast and at a staggering tempo as well. Incredible band and Every Member is Virtuoso Class. Midori and Miyako may be the best guitar duo in Metal quite honestly. Perfection. Next from Lovebites Try MDO, Hamer of Wrath or Winds of Transylvania. Out of their 60 songs there really is no dud. Cheers!

"Hammer of Wrath" still sits in my top 5 favourite LOVEBITES songs, but for me, "Break the Wall" is the best thrash song I've ever heard by any band. It's better (in my opinion) than anything I've heard from Slayer, Anthrax, Testament, (early) Metallica, Overkill, Annihilator or any other old-skool thrash band.

I was an 80's metalhead and you are spot on. These ladies remind me of the early days of the Mighty 3Ms: Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth. Another thing about these ladies that I really love is, I mean aside from each one being drop-dead gorgeous and both talented AND skilled, is that all their songs are positive and evoke strength against darkness. A message much needed these days. AND no tight, leather and twenty pounds of metal in their face, repulsive makeup and full-shirt tattoos. Feminine. Classy. Beautiful. Kicking ass!!

Yup! Iron Maiden and Lovebites are like an unbroken lineage, and those she-wolves are the Merovingians of Classic Heavy Metal🤘🐺🤘 Nothing wrong for those who like the bajillion Metal subgenres that came after the Golden Age, but I was just on suspended animation until my usual ol' favorites released something... until I went deep into J-Metal. The realization that "Old School" Metal wasn't on its last legs was shocking... Thanks Japan for being anachronistic in many ways (you can still find fax machines at every Japanese office), especially about music. Genres like Hard Rock and Metal aren't just surviving in Japan, they keep thriving and improving. The live scene is insane. And more shocking is, a good chunk of Metal bands in Japan are all-female, how cooler it can be? And they're awesome players and singers. And they're so nice with their audience. I don't have any reasons to become a grumpy metalhead living in the past lol, I embrace this future wholeheartedly. September I'm seeing both Lovebites and Iron Maiden. I still dream about both bands sharing the same stage🥲🤘

The bass player in this video was Miho, co-founder along with Haruna, 2 of her main influences/favorite bands were Iron Maiden and Metallica, I think this was one of the reasons why Asami was a first choice because of the similarities with Bruce Dickinson, notice also how she plays bass, and 2 lead guitars. 🤘🎸🎤🎹🥁🐺🇬🇧 I seen them last week and they are masters of the craft

You seem to really enjoy the synchronized guitar duos. You'll be pleased to know that 90% of LOVEBITES songs have synchronized duos, and they are all as good as this one if not better. It's a joy for me, as an old skool metalhead, to witnessd another old skool metalhead discovering LOVEBITES for the first time. It's such a shame that there are still millions of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest and Metallica fans around the world, who would probably also love LOVEBITES, but simply don't know they exist. Fortunately, channels like yours are slowly helping to get the word out.

Yes, they are the perfect metal band. These women are extremely talented, skillful and exceptional versatile musicians. Their main influences are Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Slayer, Helloween, Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen, Angra, Dragonforce, Gary Moore, etc., but they have been developing their own and unique style. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Miy (black hair guitarist) is also a concert level classical pianist, trained since 3 yo. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary in just seven years. Miho (former bassist and co-founder of the band) once said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. I noticed you’ve already scheduled “The hammer of wrath”, so my next recommendations are “Thunder vengeance” or “Break the wall” (live)

You're not far off, when you say that they have that oldshool Metal sound. Miho, the original bass player founded the band with the idea to play a mix of oldschool Power/ Thrash/ Speed/ NWOTHM/ Symphonic Metal. When they start and end their concerts, singer Asami usually shouts: ''We're Lovebites & we play HEAVY METAAAL!!" as a tribute to Lemmy's iconic shout out: ''We're Motörhead and we play ROCK'N'ROLL!!" .

Another Bruce Dickinson comparison, because... it's true :) And another Maiden comparison because, once again, it's true. As someone else mentioned, by training not like Dickinson, but a lot of people hear it and make the comparison, so it's there. Miyako resting her Dean on her baby bump. That kid must have come out shredding, or just concussed. Keep doing some of the other suggested bands as well, then we can tell you who else you missed on tour, and how much by. But don't stop the Lovebites obviously. You will just need to give up any / all familiar, financial, medical commitments to ensure you do ALL the reactions.

I think others will have already said this, but just to add my bit. This concert is from 2021 and was performed under strict Covid restrictions. The audience was limited to 50% capacity with mandatory masks and no shouting or cheering. Miyako, the Guitarist playing the Dean guitar, was several months pregnant. Her only concession for a 2 hour long concert was to wear flat heeled shoes in instead of the usual high heels. She gave birth to a daughter later that year. Asami, the singer, also had a baby not too many months after Miyako.

Ok, you've seen Hanabie and Baby Metal and now Lovebites. You need to see Nemophila, Band Maid and MAXIMUM THE HORMONE and you journey to Japanese metal/rock will be complete. Also, did you know India has metal bands? Look up Bloodywood and their song Aaj(today) They sing in both Hindi and English. Oh, and don't forget to look at Mongolia and the rock band The Hu, Wolf Totem. You'll love it. And let's not forget the Canadian metal band Unleash The Archers, Tonight We Ride.

So, you now know about Lovebites and have seen two videos and also you know about Hanabie and have seen one video. Much more to see from those women. But, there are two bands more in the standard rectors group of Japanese metal/rock women. And that is Nemophila and BAND-MAID. There is no turning back. They are waiting for you. I would say that those four definitely is a must. Then there are other good bands, but personally I (and many more) have got those four as their favorites. And, for some obscure reason, two more bands often are reacted to by the same reactors. That is The Warning, a trio of sisters from Mexico and Ningen Isu, a trio of old guys that are sometimes called Black Sabbath of Japan. You will not regret listening to any of these.

Now check out NEMOPHILA. I recommend starting with Dissension, Revive, or Raitei. They also do awesome cover versions. They started putting out a cover every Friday during Covid just to keep everyone's spirits up a little, and there are some great tracks. (And some great introductions to other Japanese bands).

They're literally "Iron Maidens". Too bad somebody already took that for their band name. I'd like to suggest "The Crusade" as your next Lovebites reaction. It's an homage to both Iron Maiden and the song "Aces High".

@HeadbangersGuild the song is Dystopia Symphony. It has been played live only once. It was in Nagoya concert. But not recorded so you can only find audio of this special song. But honestly, for the purpose of your channel,it's better you react to the many songs with a live video recorded or the few with music video . I don't know witch one you already recorded for tonight but my advise is this one : Winds of Transylvania . You can choose the studio version called : Vladlove version because it's a music video made for the opening of the Japanese Anime "Vladlove". Or you can choose the Live version that is completely amazing... in fact many people when listening Vladlove version, thought it was impossible to play live ... but I think Lovebites doesn't know about the existence of the word "impossible".

Lovebites are so goooood! It is a shame they did not play this live…anyhow, I saw them live in Milan in June, and I was scared of how it would sound live for real. All recordings of their concerts in Japan are all taken from DVDs and I feared we were all misled by the heavy postproduction. Opinion from an amateur musician: yes, they are not so perfect live, there are a lot of flaws here and there (Stand & Deliver live really shouldn't be done, Asami's voice isn't suitable at all... and Miyako should stop fixing her hair while playing, he often returned to the fretboard of the guitar on the wrong tones)... and in the live show in Milan, despite the super positive reviews, there were clearly problems in the output sounds (too many low frequencies on Miyako's guitar). But I can confirm they are musicians with 4 balls each, they are fucking good! Not 3 sexy asians ladies who are successful just because of that (....who said Babymetal?!?!?!?). It's a great shame that many of those who listen to them do so largely because they are objectively hot (also if I have to confirm this anyway, Asami is like a goddess between us, in person is like looking at the sun). I think it's a serious lack of respect towards such talented musicians. There are tons of western guys who just listen to female Japanese bands, independently by the genre…by mixing gold (as Lovebites or Aldious) with shit. And well, I find this weird as fuck!

The Iron Maiden vocal comparison is waaaay off. Her vocal training is that of R&B. So imagine someone like Mary J Blige or Teena Marie singing these Lyrics in this genre of music. That's Asami's voice.

She definitely has some Dickinson and Dio Swagger and Delivery in her vocals. But then again thats Classic style. I wouldnt compare her with J Blige or Teena Marie rather she is more in the vein of Whitney Houston and Taylor Dayne.

@@HeadbangersGuild You're not the first person to say that Asami's vocals are similar to Bruce Dickinson's.😊 I have been observing LOVEBITES for about four years. During this time, at least about 20 Reactors compared Asami to Bruce. Some Reactors even called Asami a female version of Bruce Dickinson from Japan🤗

@@ricdale7813, do some research on her. Her favorite singers are R&B artists. One of the reasons she was picked, by Miho and Haruna, is that her voice was not like the typical vocalists you hear in this genre of music. Watch and listen to her on the 'Live from Abyss' version of "Inspire" and I think you'll see my point. I don't see the late great Ronnie Dio or Bruce Dickinson being able to sing Inspire. The song requires an entirely different style of singer to make it work. Watch it and let me know what you think.
