Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

1500 miles later owning my 2022 Subaru WRX! Yes the VB WRX has been a nice addition to my driveway and basically exactly what we will see in the 2023 Subaru WRX, but do I regret buying it. Should I have bought a WRX STI? In this video I talk about my first impressions after a couple months of 2022 WRX ownership.
This is almost a 2022 Subaru WRX review or a 2023 Subaru WRX review, we are getting there, need a few more miles behind me!

I bought a 2023 Limited WRX a few weeks ago and traded in my 2014 (last of the hatchbacks) WRX. I am not a tuner so I will be sticking with the "out of the box" car. I miss the hatchback but, other than that, the 2023 is a major improvement from the 2014. I can tell that the chassis is much stiffer, the power delivery from the engine is much smoother that the 2014 and the suspension is much more compliant. Hitting a pot hole in the 2014 WRX was quite jarring. And the gas mileage appears to be better. The experience in the 2023 is much better. In shopping for my new car, I looked at some more expensive cars (e.g. Lexus, Acura, etc.) but, to me, the had too much tech. The Limited WRX comes with an infotainment system that looks a bit crude but it works with my Android Auto and still has some buttons and knobs. And it comes with Blind Side Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert which is about all I want. The only thing I sort of miss is Adaptive Cruise Control... I guess they couldn't figure out how to make that work with the MT.

The red WRX looks the best with the black trim. Just looked at one in person today. The car also looks way better in person than in photos.

Nice vid! What fuel economy numbers have you been averaging up to now? As in, not from the onboard readout, but if you manually calculate. Cheers :)

I did the first oil change on my '22 at 1000mi of easy to moderate driving. It's a really easy car to change the oil on. The old oil certainly does come out of the pan with a lot of force when you pull the drain plug so be ready for that!

@@RushroyaleAddicts Why not? I don't see it as a chore like a lot of other people do. I'm in the camp that the first 1000 miles on a new engine is break-in time and fresh oil and filter then pays dividends latter with a longer lasting and better performing engine latter. I have the tools and a place to work so it costs way less for me to DIY then to go to the dealer or some other shop for a simple oil change. I keep my cars/trucks for a long time so it's worth it to me. That's why.

fender flares grows on you in person (even the rear tbh), I hated it when I saw it in pictures but when I got a blue one it looks nice. IMO it looks nice on all colours. Just a bit biased on WRB haha

First oil change is at 3-5k. 1st 1k mi you should vary speed and not go over 4k rpm? Right?

I think the cladding looks good on the SOP as well as far I’m concerned. I think the stock wheels look and function just fine and changing them is a waste of money. Mine was dealer ordered with the STI mufflers and the exhaust is plenty loud enough the way it is. As far as cosmetic mods I only did a front plate relocate, seat covers and a weighted shift knob. Any more than that is a waste of money as all the body stuff like front splitter/lip is a waste of money unless you’ve gonna do some seriously high speed. I also changed the dreadfully horrible speakers out for, some Pioneers.

REGARDING THE LACK OF POWER WHEN TRYING TO DO PULLS IN 5TH OR 6TH GEAR, IM SURE SUBARU IS JUST AS SMART AS ALL THE TUNERS ARE AND KNOW THAT PULLS IN HIGHER GEARS HAVE DESTORYED MANY AN EJ AND QUITE A FEW FA20'S. PREDETONATION, KNOCK, LOAD AND TIMING ETC ..IM SURE SUBARU HAS SET SOME TIMING PROTOCOLS TO SAVE THE RODS

Put a magnaflow catback on at 1400, definitely drones in the cabin, BUT was well worth it car drives even better and the fun sounds make it enjoyable.

Bro my only main complaint about this car is after i put my summers back on months ago my steering wheel moves SO MUCH on bumpy roads or uneven roads. It never used to do that. Whats causing that? Ive never driven a car that does that. Its hard to even drive straight and hold the road when there is bumps/potholes..
