Is there only one interior color scheme for the 6th generation? The previous Impreza generation had black and ivory, depending on exterior color. It's nice how you show them back to back to each other. Thanks for showing the Base trim in a little more detail as well. All other 6th gen Impreza reviews here on KZread have been on the RS so far.

Really the reason why it's just the impreza rs for reviews is personally that's the car they are 100% banking on for the market sales increase for the impreza again.

Tim, is it my imagination or do we actually get more window with the new IMpreza vs. the old? (I see slightly better rear visibility, and it appears the side windows are slightly larger.) This bucks the trend of ever tinier windows, I LOVE IT!!!!!

The interior features actually look not bad for a base model. Subaru has been very, very cheap out on the base models. So I'm kinda surprised. The infotainment system looks very practical and easy to use. If the screens can be a little bigger and the graphic can be a little nicer, I think a lot of ppl would rather to have this over the new 11.6 inch one.

I think it is a lot like cell phones. Some people liked the buttons but have conformed to the screens. In the end, that is all Subaru is trying to do. Get people off of the mindset that buttons are needed.

Hey Big Tim...do you know if a spare tire can be ordered for the Impreza? Looks like a jack and lug wrench do come standard according to the videos that I have seen. Thanks!

You can always order a spare. The Crosstrek does come with the spare, and that is why the Impreza has more cargo volume even though they are the same platform. What I don't know is if it will fit with the current dtyrofoam or if that would also need to be replaced.

Just bought a Sport yesterday and it was about $1600 more than the base and you get a lot for the upgrade. Better brakes, better and lower suspension, big 11"screen w/ wireless android auto and apple carplay, all the lane departure and blind spot stuff, sport red stitched seats, proximity keyless entry w/ push button start, cargo tray, rubber and carpet floor mats, and 18" wheels. Im sure some other things but that's what i remember off my head. Almost no reason to get the base unless you really just are squeezing every penny then i would upgrade to the Sport.

I didn't think brakes or suspension was different on the base compared to the sport, is it?

@@danielgrant3946 Yup, it's lower on different suspension and has a upgraded cvt with paddles and S I drive. Brakes are the same I think. Lots of other goodies as well.

base model is better looking than the higher trims imo

The base is a good value for the money.

I’m actually quite disappointed in the vehicles Subaru has been coming out with. The pricing is virtually the same as a Honda Civic but they give you more features. Honda and Mazda are also better at keeping their base models nice looking even if they are dicontented. I think they should have dropped the bottom screen all together and done hard controls. I think the dial screens look terrible.

So go buy a Honda or a Mazda. Especially if you do not like the brand. Subaru gives you more for your money, 💯. You should compare again. As for the AC controls, dials are outdated. It is 2023. Do you use a touch screen on your phone? Would you like to go back to buttons and dials on your phone? Honda gives you a FWD car for the same amount of money for an AWD Subaru. At least with the base Impreza, you do not have hubcaps and steel wheels. Also, the only thing that Honda gives you over the Subaru is stop light detection. Subaru does not charge you extra for paint regardless of color. Mazda's hatchback is closer in price to the sport or the RS, and again, the Subaru wins in value with standard AWD. 🤔

Holy cow a base 2024 impreza is really bland. I still blown away on how different the base is compared to my impreza rs that I am waiting for to arrive

Every base Subaru is bland. You have to pay more to get more. Not like you couldnt update the wheels yourself like the OP said.
