Both are excellent cars. But buy the Subaru if you live where it snows !

There's vids where they compare AWD with 2 wheel drive and snow tires. Snow tires are more important than awd for the most part

@@candywrapp I live in PNW where everyone drives AWD cars. I stand by saying that being a good driver is more important than having AWD.

The Impreza has a larger fuel tank: 16.6 v. 12.4 for the Civic. I have to take that into consideration.

1st car I ever bought was a Civic....loved that car. In this instance I would roll with the Subaru. Hatchback and awd are standard and even the smaller engine is capable on road trips. Perhaps KBB would like to send over an RS in black...with those red/black seats 🤔 I'll be needing roof rails...Impreza Hatchback should have them...not a fan of deleting those.

The Impreza comes with integral mounting points for easy mounting of its sleek roof rack. I’ve got it on my RS.

Yes. But unless you’re planning on keeping the car to 300,000 miles don’t worry about it. Buy either

Civic seats, especially the driver's seat in the EX-L, are extremely uncomfortable, at least to me.

23k starting? Geez i remember buying a new civic lx for 20k out the door in 2012 thats about 18k before taxes, i can do without the bs sxreens for the same 18k

The HR-V is built on the same platform as the Civic.

I'm wondering how much Honda did pay to KBB for his comparative conclusion ? Gas milage has no much difference between models, adding Subaru Impresa is awd permanent then which one has better fuel-mileage rate ?

The Subaru will get worse mileage than the Honda because it has AWD. AWD takes more horsepower to turn the extra driveshaft and therefore uses more gas. Most of your AWD vehicles today have an AWD system that disengages the rear wheels when up to speed and only engages power to the rear wheels with a magnetic coupler when it sense slippage. So most AWD vehicles run in FWD like 80-90% of the time unless it is winter and there is lots of snow. Subaru's system is different. It is in AWD all the time. That is why Subaru tends to have poorer fuel economy than comparable vehicles.

No I know I might sound a little impartial because I do own a Subaru Impreza Sport hatchback but let me tell you something about this hatchback it is incredible going around corners and if it snows and there's a hill in front of you this vehicle will climb the heal and you will not slip backwards whatsoever all wheel drive is so impressive and after you drive this vehicle with its all wheel drive drive drive something else and you will feel a complete difference when you go around corners and all weather conditions

The Subaru with the rear seats folded down has "More" cargo space than the Civic. Also the Subaru has better resale value than the Civic, commentator is "wrong".

I love Subaru to the moon and back but they have got to STOP with the CVT trans. Make it in manual or automatic PLEASE

Why are car companies getting rid of stick cars. I understand why because they get better gas mileage but still stuck is way better and more fun

Kelly Blue Book What's with the voice overs? Why do we no longer get to the superstars, which made the channel what it is today. Sure the info is great and true but, the voice overs make it seem like this channel is run by AI, and/or people whom cannot speak the language and thus resort to voice overs..

I’m sure they have to do some of these for speed so they can cover more cars in a given amount of time. I’m fine with more information, and less production time.

Why you comparing a hatchback to a standard sedan? Where is the civic hatchback?

Fuel consumption of civic 2024 is horrible. I bought one and it runs 25mpg combined. 36mpg or 30mpg is totally false statement.

Not sure that’s true a lot of safety features bring the cost down Also smaller cars do less damage to other cars
