Well imo you’re ahead of most this early on. You’re using the playlist and the structure is good. I’d say the next hurdle is using the mixer and some vst effects with some automation on said effects. For example you could attach a reverb to the percussion and automate the dry/wet on builds or breaks.

Good start. Your metronome was still on. But this is a good start. keep on working on making music.
