Hi Friends 🥰 The comments on the last video were pretty clear on that you wanted me to check out MAMA next, so here you go ✨ I just wanna quickly bring up what I mentioned in the end of today's video again: I've really started getting into EXO after the first video and I want to continue checking them out, but I don't want my channel to become a pure "reaction channel", because my goal with it has always been for it to be outlet for my creativity and "self-fulfillment", if you will, and share some of my life with the world. So please don't be disappointed or annoyed if I post a video with a different topic again here and there, inbetween the different EXO reactions - I plan on continuing with them until I have a better understanding of EXO and maybe even become an EXO-L myself, but I also want to keep working on the videos that I had planned for this summer. So as unrelated as this sounds - you'll probably see a fashion haul on my channel soon-ish, because I'd been planning on doing that for a while and the clothes have basically been sitting here waiting ever since "EXO happened" and I fell into this rabbit hole, when I initially just quickly wanted to check them out 😅🙈

I am really laughing so hard watching non fans watching MAMA because their expression said it all like "WHAT JUST HAPPENED? WHAT DID I WATCH? I DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY!" lmao hahaha, this is always the culture mv for new people. Its understandable because when I watch it first time, I am just speechless and did not know what to say lol hahaha

Actually Exo has another hidden concept that not many people talk about which is that they came down to Earth to help us learn to love again and not be greedy and materialistic which is shown in these lyrics. I love the message with it. They even apply it to real life by telling us online not to buy their albums that we should instead eat well or buy warm clothing and spend time with people. At concerts they want us to love each other and become close during the event and even now they have mentioned that now they aren’t worried about awards anymore (though they have many) and they just want to focus on what they love to do and just have fun. And even though they have the money they donate it or still have broken phones, etc. Don’t worry about the crop top hate comments even Kai said he hated wearing them due to him being shy and uncomfortable off stage. And yes the members in this song are communicating with each other which you can see in the mv (Suho wiping away water and another face shows up) The intro was super cute and kudos to all your hard work!❤️👍🏻

That is not actually a hidden concept, it goes along with, them having super power to battle the evilness of the Red Force to bring back love, respect, to stop war and discrimantion and bring unity among all creatures in this planet earth that the evil force has created and instilled in our hearts and minds. And it is so true that EXO always cared for their fans that they always tell us not to buy so many of their albums and instead buy things for ourself and not worry and cared about the awards. What is important to them is to create music that we will love and will make us happy and for them to be an inspiration to strive hard in life, that is what they tell us in all fan meetings, events and concerts. Also, there are 2 songs they released, a pre-debut song, History and What is Love, it will be highly appreciated if you could also react to these too. Thanks.

In Korean Mama is a term they use to address a leader or king or queen. It's a term of reverence and respect. It's similar to saying "Your majesty." If you watch very many historical Korean dramas you will hear the characters call the royal family, and especially the head of the royal family or leader, "Mama." So, in this song, they are speaking to the leader or deity who sent them to Earth, essentially asking, "Now that I'm here, Your Majesty what should I do? How do I fulfill what you have sent me to do? etc." To truly understand EXO you need to understand that EXO debuted in 2012. "Mama" is how EXO was introduced to the world and it explains the group's concept. So to really understand EXO you need to start from the very beginning and watch BOTH of their "Mama" MVs. From day one, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet EXO and they came to Earth with superpowers on a mission to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces (There is only one force which is red). Each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one if not all of them using their powers. Now that you have seen the EXO-K version of "Mama" you really need to watch the EXO-M version. it's important you know EXO's story and really pay attention to the narrator's introduction in the beginning of this MV to understand everything that happens from now on in all the rest of EXO's MVs. Exo, as in exoskeleton, means "outer," so as a member of EXO they are outside the ordinary.The groups concept comes from the real term exoplanet, which is a term that is used for a planet that is outside our solar system, so their name was chosen to represent the fact that they are stars that are "out of this world" when it comes to their talents. EXO's concept is also connected to real life planetary and solar events so many of EXO's comebacks and new song releases for the main group of EXO are connected to when eclipses and other planetary phenomenons take place. For example, their War album and Power album release and comeback coincided with when we had a solar eclipse, etc. SM Entertainment has all their release dates and concepts planned out for years in advance and it all has something to do with real celestial events that are predicted to take place. In order to really understand EXO you need to understand that In the beginning there was 12 members and they were split up into 2 groups EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K sang and performed their songs in Korean and EXO-M sang and performed those same songs in Mandarin Chinese. EXO-K had 6 Korean members and EXO-M had 4 Chinese members and 2 Korean members. So to really understand their full origin story you have to watch BOTH the K and the M version of "Mama." It's more than just two different languages, each group has a very specific role within EXO's storyline. However, since then 3 of the 4 Chinese members have left the group (short answer to focus on their solo work back in China) but there is still one Chinese member left, Lay. (Any performances or MVs you watch that took place prior to May 2014 you will see all 12 of the members. Kris and Luhan left in 2014 and Tao left in 2015.) However, now -- because they no longer have enough Chinese members -- they no longer do separate promotions, but they still produce almost all of their main track songs in both Korean and Mandarin they just now promote all as one big group EXO with 9 members. So, not only does EXO have amazing MVs, but it's almost always double because most of the time when they have a Korean version they also will have a Mandarin version, so it means they have to shoot two separate videos.Their fandom name is EXO-L because L falls right between K and M and it stands for Love. 😍Get it? EXO-K, EXO-L, EXO-M (K-L-M in the alphabet) In the EXO-K version of "Mama" (the version you just watched) the members are using their powers to search for and meet up with the EXO-M members. That is why you see the K members traveling to find the M member. For example, you see Kai using his power of teleportation as he searches for the M members and you see Baekhyun use his power of light and Suho with his power of water, Chanyeol with the power of fire using his Phoenix wings (not a butterfly), D.O. with the power of earth and strength and Sehun controlling the wind. Because Xiumin is a member of EXO-M, you see him appear in the mirror because the K members are searching for him and he is being summoned, etc. As the story goes, when EXO arrived on Earth they did not all arrive together. Their story starts out that they were dropped on Earth in different locations all over the world and they have to search for each other and meet up, kind of like in a quest, before they can begin to figure out how to accomplish the tasks they have been sent to Earth to do. When you see the members all together in their "Mama" MVs they are together because they are still on Planet EXO where they are still united. But when you see them separated it is when they have all been sent to Earth.They keep flashing back and forth between present moments and recent past moments. So, how I interpret it is that at the end they aren't back together yet, but that is a scene from when they were still on EXO Planet as they are preparing to be sent to Earth. The two worlds the narrator talks about in the introduction could possibly be different dimensions, so you often see parts of their story which could be interpreted as them being in different dimensions or time periods or different moments in history. If you want to see the EXO-M members and their story and superpowers you need to watch the EXO-M (Mandarin Chinese) version of "Mama" The M version will feature the EXO-M members and they will be the ones singing the main parts of the song. You only see small clips of the M members in the Korean version. But in the Chinese version the story continues, and the EXO-M members are the ones that are highlighted. You have to see both MVs to understand the full story. Each of the members in EXO-K has a counterpart in EXO-M so part of what you were seeing in this MV was them showing you which EXO-K member corresponded with which EXO-M member. For example Suho (EXO-K) with the power of water corresponds with Xiumin (EXO-M) who has the power of frost/ice and Chanyeol (EXO-K) with the power of fire is Kris' (EXO-M) counterpart because he is the power of flight, and as you will see when you watch the EXO-M MV, Chanyeol has the power of the phoenix and Kris has the power of the dragon which both animal spirits have fire elements and flight so they connect; D.O. (EXO-K) with the power of force and Chen (EXO-M) with the power of thunder/lightning; and Sehun (EXO-K) who has the power of wind is connected to Tao (EXO-M) who controls time; Baekhyun (K) with the power of light and Lay (M) with the power of healing; and Kai (K) with teleportation and Luhan (M) with telekinesis; etc. That's how they maintain their bond even as members of separate groups. Also, each member in EXO-K has a counterpart in EXO-M that fills the same role in each group. For example, D.O. is the main vocalist in EXO-K and Chen is the main vocalist in EXO-M; Baekhyun is the second main vocalist in K and Luhan was the second main vocalist in M; Chanyeol is the main rapper in K and Kris was the main rapper in M; Sehun is the lead rapper in K and Xiumin is the lead rapper in M; Kai is the main dancer in K and Lay is the main dancer in M; and then it's Suho is a lead vocalist in K and Tao was a rapper/vocalist in M (I'm not sure how these two really work together because Tao is more of a rapper and Suho is a vocalist, but because they are the last two they are put together.) The tattoos on Kai's face and body say EXO and also all of the EXO members names, or at least the 6 EXO-K members names, as well as EXO's symbol and other hidden clues to EXO's origin story. Now that you have seen "Mama" and are starting to understand EXO's backstory, if you watch any of their other MVs, it should make more sense to you if you keep in mind all the details about them being aliens with superpowers and how they are on a mission, etc. For example, In EXO's "Overdose" MV they have been lured into and trapped in a maze by the Red Force and they are trying to use their superpowers to figure out a way to escape, but somehow the maze affects their powers and it causes them to lose control and allows the Red Force to capture them. After "Overdose," the story picks up in their "Lucky One" MV where the Red Force has transferred the members from the maze to a hospital-like setting that is supposed to be a government lab facility where the Red Force is now doing experiments on EXO to figure out what makes them special and to find a way to disrupt their connection to the Tree of Life and to prevent them from gaining control, as well as maybe figure out what they need to do to clone them like we see has been done in their "Obsession" MV, etc. In "Lucky One" the members use their powers to overthrow the Red Force and to escape the facility. And that is where the story picks up in their "Ko Ko Bop" MV. in "Ko Ko Bop" EXO are free from the Red Forces' control for the moment and they all act like they are in a drugged state. The Ko Ko Bop drink that Suho mixes and the wafers or pills that the members all take, is supposed to help them detox from the drugs they were given against their will by the Red Force when they were being experimented on. Because they are still a little loopy from the drugs, in "Ko Ko Bop" you see them all playing with their powers without caution. More information in my reply attached to this comment. :D

The whole point of both the EXO-K and EXO-M versions of their songs and each MV is to introduce you to EXO's concept and storyline. "Mama" is like the first episode of EXO's drama -- it sets up everything to come in the rest of the series. And if you miss any part of the first episode you will forever be lost when it comes to the rest of EXO's story. So, in other words, you HAVE TO watch the EXO-M version of "Mama." If you watch both versions of their "Mama" MV, you might be able to understand a little more about EXO's mission and everything they have been sent to Earth to do. That's why it's important to watch BOTH versions. As you might have noticed, EXO is known for their vocals and for their dancing. As an SM Entertainment group it's really no surprise that the members are all amazing vocalists and dancers because that's just a fact about the type of people that SM selects to be a part of its company. SM has become known for its amazing vocalists and dancers and that is why it's one of the big 3 entertainment companies in Korea and around the world. EXO currently has 9 members (originally 12) and all of them are amazing vocalists, however, 2 are considered the group's main/lead rappers (Chanyeol and Sehun), but there are several other members that are sub-rappers as well. If you follow SM Entertainment groups, you will soon discover that all of SM's rappers were actually chosen to become trainees for their vocal and/or dancing skills. All of SM's rappers learned to rap, or at least became good at it, after they joined the company. Therefore, all of SM's artists are amazing singers -- being good at rapping is just a bonus. SM is known for having some of the best vocalists and dancers in the industry and the members of EXO are proof of that. It's very important that you pay attention to the introduction story in "Mama" because it is literally setting up EXO's storyline. The narrator is telling you EXO's whole origin story, about how EXO have been split up into two groups EXO-K and EXO-m -- they are part of the same group and yet separate -- part of two worlds that come together as one, etc. And he is telling you about how the Tree of Life has been split in half to protect it from falling into the Red Forces control -- each half of the tree representing one half of EXO (EXO-K and EXO-M) -- and EXO's mission is to find the two halves of the tree and reunite them to restore peace in the world. There is so much more to EXO's story, "Mama" is just the introduction. If you really want to follow their storyline you will have to really pay attention to every detail of everything EXO has ever done because it's all connected. You also need to pay attention to the lyrics for "Mama." As you saw, the majority of their chant is in English (the chant is known as a gregorian chant and it is a singing style that is often heard used by Catholic monks): "Shoot anonymous, anonymous; Heartless, mindless; No one who care about me ... Careless, careless (Mama: Mama in Korean means Your Majesty); Shoot anonymous, anonymous (Mama); Heartless, mindless (Mama); No one who care about me (Mama)" Also, if you pay attention to what the whole song is talking about and what the lyrics mean it will give you even more insight into why EXO have been sent to Earth and what their mission is all about. EXO's storyline begins with them being sent to Earth to try and heal the world and to stop and prevent the Red Force from taking over and corrupting everything. And the story in the lyrics of "Mama" foreshadows what they will have to overcome and understand about humans and our world to accomplish their tasks. EXO kind of takes humanity to task and asks us to explain why we would allow all this anger and hatred to cloud everything around us and why we don't love each other more? It's really a very beautiful message and the more you learn about EXO the more interesting the whole thing becomes. In the song the members, being aliens from another planet, are struggling to understand how we as humans could allow all this evil and bad things to happen all around us, such as war and environmental destruction, etc. and they are daunted by the fact that they are now tasked with figuring out how to fix it all and prevent more evil from taking place. That's why they need to find the two halves of the Tree of Life and reunite them to restore peace. EXO's story is part supernatural and Sci-Fi and part based on reality, which touches on real life events and things that are really happening in the world. And from the very beginning, even during pre-debut days, and everything since then and everything yet to come, it all is connected to that storyline. Everything EXO does and everything you see from them, including Baekhyun and Kai's parts in SuperM, all has something to do with the concept and story that began with "Mama," and each new installment of something from the members expands a little further on EXO's story. Whether it's an MV from the group, a solo project from one of the members, a sub-unit project, a live performance, teaser videos, concert VCRs, or even a good amount of their choreography, it all has been designed to connect to EXO's storyline. Also, the symbols you saw represents each of the members and it has to do with each of their powers. For instance, Kai's symbol is a pyramid and it represents teleportation, and Lay's symbol is a unicorn and it represents his power of healing, etc.(In future MVs and other things to do with EXO, when you see things like a pyramid, you know that is a reference to something to do with Kai, etc.) Even the most minute of details in EXO's content has something to do with their origin story and EXO's storyline. By the way, no one has ugly pants (LoL), but the guy you are referring to is Kai (real name Kim JongIn) and he is one of the top two BEST dancers in the entire industry. Hands down he is literally known as the industry's best dancer and that is not just a fan's opinion, he has been given that title by his peers as well. The other top dancer is Kai's best friend, Taemin from SHINee, who is also an SM Entertainment artist. It's kind of mind blowing the amount of planning and manipulation SM has been doing over the years to connect all the dots and to continue EXO's story. It gets even crazier when you realize how even the most minute of details were crafted to be a hidden message or detail within that storyline. But as I said, the one thing you have to keep in mind with all of EXO's MVs, and I really mean all of them -- including EXO's sub-sub-unit MVs and many of the members' solo MVs, as well as SuperM's MVs -- is that they are all connected and they all tell a little more of EXO's story and why they are on Earth, etc. Unfortunately, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in chronological order, so we, as EXO-L, have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of everything any of the members are involved in to try and piece it all together and figure out where each part fits within their larger storyline. To help you pinpoint the powers being used in their MVs and live performances here is a list of the members and what their special power is. EXO-K 💦 Suho (Kim JunMyeon) is the leader of the group and he is a lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control water (Fun fact: Suho in Korean means guardian, as in the guardian of EXO. That's why as the leader of EXO, his stage name is Suho) 💡Baekhyun is a main vocalist and his superpower is the ability to control light 🔥Chanyeol is the main rapper and lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control fire and his spirit animal is the phoenix. 🌏D.O. Thank you for all those explanations. I knew quite a lot already about their story line and group évolution but didnt know about the link between their release and celestial events maybe because I started following them after their last comeback. I am wondering if the red force doesn't represent communism ( regarding Korea history and their state of war still going on with North Korea ), don't kill me but I think it will match the story line as well. The tree being broke into 2 pieces like Korea, the color red instead of usually black or darkest colors to designate evil ( even though red is also use sometime). I didnt dig into it because just thought about after reading you. You didnt mention all the predebut teaser they have done, there were a lot ( a record if I recall correctly). Kai's one being always the first to be released since his stage name mean door but also open, like in open a new path.

All we know that EXO came from SM Entertainment, the biggest entertainment in KPOP. Many people therefore concluded that they were privileged and had a easy time gaining success. But this is a BIG NO. First, EXO is the first kpop group who have this kind of storyline. Aliens from EXOPlanet coming to EARTH to fight Red Forces (Evil) is a too much concept for people, adding the fact that they have superpowers. People said that the superpower concept is just so epic and weird to handle. Second, they have a lot of membersssss. Kpop group before is not that much members. Suju is the first having almost 13 members and they are well loved but in general, KPOP groups have basically 6 members below, the standard. People are confused about the names of the 12 members and the EXO K and EXO M concept. So when this mv was out, people boycotted them. They were called as the SM Biggest Mistake, just after their debut, people wanted them to disband. Thats why they have hiatus for one year just after they debuted. Only 20 people came from their fan meeting and they also experienced performing on streets to be recognized. So, people who said that groups from small company are the only one who works hard then its wrong as many groups from BIG3 also had a lot of hard time.

The concept of the BAP storyline is limited only to their debut, while EXO is their identity ... That's a big difference. EXO was the first group to have a story concept that became their identity rather than just sweetening promotions.

@@ohchevi4268 girl, second. The main point of my comment is to state thre hardship of EXO when they are rookie. I cannot see why you are making things big when I just didnt discredit B.A.P. Should I say, EXO is the first kpop group who have their storyline that up until now is visible etc etc. Then, I am spreading wrong info. Whether we like it or not, EXO is the second group who had storyline officially in KPOP industry.

U remind me of the youtuber Dayna Watson..she's also an army,..the first tym she reacted to EXO,Her title always start at ARMY Reacts to EXO..but not anymore,..on my own experience,once u get to know exo and start listening to their songs,u got addicted to them and u can't stop urself from listening because that's what happened to me and i think also with Dayna Watson...EXO introduced me to kpop,but i don't think i'm ready to listen to other groups,bec. I started at exo,and they're the vocal kings of kpop and i don't want to get dissapointed when i start listening to the other because exo is my standards..

But I was a Directioner back then so I didn't discover more of them and then 5 years later I was like : let me see why these boys have this many fans(couse here in my country EXO-Ls are the biggest fandom) . Yes, EXO K means members in that sub unit singing. However, let me clear that there are two Koreans in EXO M. Means EXO M is composed of 4 Chinese and 2 Koreans

The "guy in the ugly pants" is Kai (my bias) and was also the guy in crop top in tempo. He is the main dancer and center.

The whole point of both the EXO-K and EXO-M versions of their songs and each MV is to introduce you to EXO's concept and storyline. "Mama" is like the first episode of EXO's drama -- it sets up everything to come in the rest of the series. And if you miss any part of the first episode you will forever be lost when it comes to the rest of EXO's story. So, in other words, you HAVE TO watch the EXO-M version of "Mama." If you watch both versions of their "Mama" MV, you might be able to understand a little more about EXO's mission and everything they have been sent to Earth to do. That's why it's important to watch BOTH versions. As you might have noticed, EXO is known for their vocals and for their dancing. As an SM Entertainment group it's really no surprise that the members are all amazing vocalists and dancers because that's just a fact about the type of people that SM selects to be a part of its company. SM has become known for its amazing vocalists and dancers and that is why it's one of the big 3 entertainment companies in Korea and around the world. EXO currently has 9 members (originally 12) and all of them are amazing vocalists, however, 2 are considered the group's main/lead rappers (Chanyeol and Sehun), but there are several other members that are sub-rappers as well. If you follow SM Entertainment groups, you will soon discover that all of SM's rappers were actually chosen to become trainees for their vocal and/or dancing skills. All of SM's rappers learned to rap, or at least became good at it, after they joined the company. Therefore, all of SM's artists are amazing singers -- being good at rapping is just a bonus. SM is known for having some of the best vocalists and dancers in the industry and the members of EXO are proof of that. It's very important that you pay attention to the introduction story in "Mama" because it is literally setting up EXO's storyline. The narrator is telling you EXO's whole origin story, about how EXO have been split up into two groups EXO-K and EXO-M -- they are part of the same group and yet separate -- part of two worlds that come together as one, etc. And he is telling you about how the Tree of Life has been split in half to protect it from falling into the Red Forces control -- each half of the tree representing one half of EXO (EXO-K and EXO-M) -- and EXO's mission is to find the two halves of the tree and reunite them to restore peace in the world. There is so much more to EXO's story, "Mama" is just the introduction. If you really want to follow their storyline you will have to really pay attention to every detail of everything EXO has ever done because it's all connected. You also need to pay attention to the lyrics for "Mama." As you saw, the majority of their chant is in English (the chant is known as a gregorian chant and it is a singing style that is often heard used by Catholic monks): "Shoot anonymous, anonymous; Heartless, mindless; No one who care about me ... Careless, careless (Mama: Mama in Korean means Your Majesty); Shoot anonymous, anonymous (Mama); Heartless, mindless (Mama); No one who care about me (Mama)" Also, if you pay attention to what the whole song is talking about and what the lyrics mean it will give you even more insight into why EXO have been sent to Earth and what their mission is all about. EXO's storyline begins with them being sent to Earth to try and heal the world and to stop and prevent the Red Force from taking over and corrupting everything. And the story in the lyrics of "Mama" foreshadows what they will have to overcome and understand about humans and our world to accomplish their tasks. EXO kind of takes humanity to task and asks us to explain why we would allow all this anger and hatred to cloud everything around us and why we don't love each other more? It's really a very beautiful message and the more you learn about EXO the more interesting the whole thing becomes. In the song the members, being aliens from another planet, are struggling to understand how we as humans could allow all this evil and bad things to happen all around us, such as war and environmental destruction, etc. and they are daunted by the fact that they are now tasked with figuring out how to fix it all and prevent more evil from taking place. That's why they need to find the two halves of the Tree of Life and reunite them to restore peace. EXO's story is part supernatural and Sci-Fi and part based on reality, which touches on real life events and things that are really happening in the world. And from the very beginning, even during pre-debut days, and everything since then and everything yet to come, it all is connected to that storyline. Everything EXO does and everything you see from them, including Baekhyun and Kai's parts in SuperM, all has something to do with the concept and story that began with "Mama," and each new installment of something from the members expands a little further on EXO's story. Whether it's an MV from the group, a solo project from one of the members, a sub-unit project, a live performance, teaser videos, concert VCRs, or even a good amount of their choreography, it all has been designed to connect to EXO's storyline. Also, the symbols you saw represents each of the members and it has to do with each of their powers. For instance, Kai's symbol is a pyramid and it represents teleportation, and Lay's symbol is a unicorn and it represents his power of healing, etc.(In future MVs and other things to do with EXO, when you see things like a pyramid, you know that is a reference to something to do with Kai, etc.) Even the most minute of details in EXO's content has something to do with their origin story and EXO's storyline. By the way, no one has ugly pants (LoL), but the guy you are referring to is Kai (real name Kim JongIn) and he is one of the top two BEST dancers in the entire industry. Hands down he is literally known as the industry's best dancer and that is not just a fan's opinion, he has been given that title by his peers as well. The other top dancer is Kai's best friend, Taemin from SHINee, who is also an SM Entertainment artist. It's kind of mind blowing the amount of planning and manipulation SM has been doing over the years to connect all the dots and to continue EXO's story. It gets even crazier when you realize how even the most minute of details were crafted to be a hidden message or detail within that storyline. But as I said, the one thing you have to keep in mind with all of EXO's MVs, and I really mean all of them -- including EXO's sub-sub-unit MVs and many of the members' solo MVs, as well as SuperM's MVs -- is that they are all connected and they all tell a little more of EXO's story and why they are on Earth, etc. Unfortunately, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in chronological order, so we, as EXO-L, have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of everything any of the members are involved in to try and piece it all together and figure out where each part fits within their larger storyline. To help you pinpoint the powers being used in their MVs and live performances here is a list of the members and what their special power is. EXO-K 💦 Suho (Kim JunMyeon) is the leader of the group and he is a lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control water (Fun fact: Suho in Korean means guardian, as in the guardian of EXO. That's why as the leader of EXO, his stage name is Suho) 💡Baekhyun is a main vocalist and his superpower is the ability to control light 🔥Chanyeol is the main rapper and lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control fire and his spirit animal is the phoenix. 🌏D.O. @Landyra I think the voice you hear distinctly is Baekhyun's while D.O. harmonizes with him. I've also noticed this before when I listened to it (with earphones) on Spotify. As you get to know the group, its members, and listen to their songs, you'll be able to identify their individual sound and voice quality. For me, Baek and Kai's voices are easily recognizable bcs they have that very distinct sound. You'll know what I mean once you get to watch them in variety shows and their live performances where you can actually hear them sing or speak. Btw, I like how natural your reactions are. Just like what others here said, just be you and react to whatever you like. We're here to enjoy it and hear your opinion (which you say respectfully). as a music teacher, and an EXO-L, i love how you analyze the relation of the mv concept lyrics, and the musical elements of exo songs.... i recommend you watch the EXO-M version for you to further understand or have clues on MAMA's concept.. Whenever you see 6 members instead of 12 it's simply because the other 6 appear in the other version of the song. Each version are sang and performed by different members too (Exo-M or Exo-K) so you may sometimes like one version over the other voice wise because they are definitely different despite them performing the same songs. So the best way to react to 12 member Exo would be to react to Exo-K and Exo-M versions back to back in one video. Despite that i personally don't mind if you choose to only react on camera to Exo-K but you definitely need to watch exo-M versions of all Exo-K songs at least off camera so that you can get familiar to Exo-M members too. Otherwise you won't see/hear them much until Exo later comebacks as ot9. Edit:(Btw Exo-M aren't actually "the chinese members". Exo only ever had 4 chinese members which is why Exo-M also had 2 korean members, Exo-M is simply the unit promoting in China, while Exo-K the one promoting in Korea. That's it) Oh and love that you reacted to the lyrics video too, you should keep doing that (only keeping the highlights of that is a good choice too) Thank's for your reaction!!!!

Also, if we take the time to read the lyrics and understand the concept, the point where Kai gives us a scary jump, makes sense and absolutely connects to the storyline. This MV is epic!

This song is literally a hit or miss to others. SM really do love to experiment with their artists because this was actually one of their most experimental song you can hear it from the way it sounds it has heavy metal (kinda), rock, and a little operatic. And this was hands down, one of my favorite Debuts from K-Pop because it's not the usual sound or concept a group tackles specially when they're debuting. It's just refreshing to see. And from this, you can really see how EXO has grown much musically.

“Mama” it is indeed a unique song in Kpop. Like Chen(one of the member) said it tells to world that EXO is coming. “The Eve” (either dance practice video or a live performance is amazing), or “Kokobop” for next? Thank you

I will subscribe. 😁 Btw, just an info: Exo is vocal based group so it's a lot of singing and harmonizing that will you notice in your journey to their discography. They're know as the best RnB group of kpop from 3rd Generation. So yeah, if you like RnB, EXO is the choice. But if RnB is not your cup of tea, you might didn't like some certain songs. In EXO-M, there are 4 members from China : Lay, Kris, Luhan, Tao.. And the two of them : Chen and Xiumin are Korean... Kris, Tao, and Luhan left the group, and Lay be the one and only member from China right now... U know what, SM always did different things, concepts, groups, type of musics.. thats why SM is the pilar of Kpop... Exo-M has 4 chinese members and 2 korean members all singing in chinese. The video in the chinese version is with the exo-M members and the difference is just that you see the powers of the exo-M members instead. That's it. And don't worry i don't really like kai's part either with the whole screaming part even after all these years as an exo-l. Luckily that's the first and last time they ever do anything like that. Haha. And also their outfit styling in their first few years are so horrible. Just wait until you see Wolf omg even exo-ls hate the styling in Wolf. Looking forward to your next video! This is exo-K At first,Exo’s half members formed exo-K and the mvs released were in korean and the rest half members released their mvs in chinese as Exo-M(so their were 2 subunits) They released their mv as a whole and it was called GROWL,which is also known as the national song of South Korea.DUE TO THAT ALBUM,THEY BECAME EXTREMELY POPULAR AND BECAME THE FIRST GROUP TO SELL 1 million+ physical copies....and then they ruled in South Korea....nobody used to ask your fav group...they used to ask :who is your bias ? Cause exo was everyone’s fav group and it is till now...it has been more than 8 years since their debut...3 chinese members left the group...1 is in China...and 3 korean members are serving in military rn...and among the 5 which are here,1 of them became a father this year❤️JUST WAIT FOR THEIR COMEBACK AS A WHOLE WITH 9 MEMBERS...Probably in 2024/25 after everyone’s military services are over.THE WORLD IS GONNA SHAKE.THEY ARE THE KINGS❤️ 👑

No one likes people who are fake. - ugh i still love MAMA so much till this day. it is very epic sounding - you're right, exo-m members will sing the mandarin version, k members sing the korean version. when you listen to them, it's very interesting to hear how different their combined voices sound for each unit. exo-m seems to have a higher tone, and exo-k a lower tone. at least from what i noticed - took a long time for me to be able to 'accept' that screamo portion of the song. i didn't like it at first too lol - i still hate those 'low crotch' pants Hope you check out 'Lucky One' or 'Love me right'! I like EXO's funky side a lot so i really love these two title tracks. Not sure if you're into ballads, but i hope you check out their winter title tracks like 'Universe', 'Sing for You', 'For Life'.

EXO is the best group in whole K-pop industry. Best vocals, best music, best solo, ect.

EXO debuted as 12 members and there were 2 sub groups. EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K with 6 korean members (Suho,Baekhyun,Chanyeol,D.O.,Kai and Sehun) promoting in Korea and EXO-M with 4 chinese and 2 korean members (Kris,Luhan,Lay,Tao,Chen and Xiumin) promoting in China. They started to be seen together in an MV during Wolf Era I guess bec there's always a different MV for K and M. After a couple of songs released the chinese members left the group. Right now we have 9 members in total. 3 members are in the Military 1 member is in China bec of Hallyu Ban
