I'm doing the same right now! I took 3 apart, so that I can practice, and then make myself a Swiss Army Tool, because I am removing blades, and only including tools I need each day. Pliers, Saw, bottle opener/flathead/prybar, can opener/small flathead, awl, and Philips head screwdriver.

Brave doing this on Grandma's favourite white embroidered table-cloth. Looks awesome in the end, tho! - Ninja multitool :)

You got that dark satin finish on the blade just by etching with ferric chloride solution, or you did some other preparation beforehand? (I mean, apart from masking the pivot holes)

Just with the etching, yet it more white greish than dark greish, don't be fooled by the camera

your video came up on top with the words custom victorinox :) for me today. I think you helped me solve my pinning issues , I want to replace my liners with better steel or brass and make a toothpick from bone and brass to use as a needle

Brass was used in the past. I say it is the best choice. But experiment and choose to your likening

91mm SAK tend to be 2.5mm and 2.2mm brass rod

looks like he turned some thicker stock down using a file and a drill as a lathe , I'm just guessing but it is what I am going to do rather than toss out cash on kits

Multumesc. Clorura ferica pentru innegrire, in realitate e un gri asa. Pe dincolo se merge pe o vopsea speciala, ceratoke, ar tine mai mult si e mai deosebita
