The Claudie mold is my favorite too. Claudie brought me to AGtube and if I ever allow myself to buy an AG doll, it's going to be Claudie.

@@DisBlaine well, I do love your dolls and the way you talk about them. I’m an old granny myself, and gush about my grandkids and my dolls in much the same way. I only have 7, though, and began collecting 15 years ago when my first granddaughter got her first doll. I have Molly, Kit, Julie, McKena, #122, Samantha, and Claudie (on the way). I live alone as a widow, and my dolls are my comfort, especially Molly, my first doll. We are inseparable. Keep making vids. I adore them.

@@susanstater4695 awwww see I think we have a relatable or similar feeling toward our dolls. I don’t have kids (or grandkids) but I too live alone, so my dolls surround me at all times. I love hearing that your first doll is your most special!!! That’s so sweet. Molly is by far my fave of the original 3-and just wait until Claudie gets there! You’ll love her. She has this sweet element like Dorothy from Wizard of Oz and Shirley Temple: Oops this reply got long! I even talk too much about dolls in comments 🤪

The Maplelea jumper outfit looks really nice on #4. I want to get a #21 she always look so cute in everything I see her in. Thanks for sharing the face molds in your collection. Your dolls look beautiful. The face mold video should be really nice. I never really thought about the dolls face molds. I just like a doll overall. I am learning a lot about the different molds from videos like yours and other creators.

Other creators would definitely have more info / expertise on the different molds. I can’t spot all the little differences as molds develop, so I should be careful I don’t say something untrue. I hope you can find 21! I don’t think she’s very hard to find but yes she’s really sweet 🥰

After seeing your collection and all the outfits anyone that likes dolls but are unfamiliar with AG dolls would want to own several -------- dozen (LOL !). I can see why someone would want to start collecting them. Walking into your doll room would be like walking into an American Girl store. Your displays are beyond fabulous. Thanks for the video. I have most of the molds but missing a few. Haven't bought a Claudie yet (it's the curly hair - I have two TM #58 and two Evetttes, plus others) and missing a Jess mold and a couple of others.

The addiction is real!! I don’t know anyone in real life who likes AG, so I don’t have anyone to appreciate them-so I’m so happy people on YT appreciate how beautiful these dolls are! TM58 is so precious! I can understand why you’d have 2. Walmart MP has a couple, so I’m tempted lol. But I won’t. Curly hair is fine for me, because I just display them.

Grace and I watched this together and you had us pausing to try to decide on our favorites from each face mold in our collection, too. Fun video!

@@DisBlaine "Ranking my dolls by face mold" is an idea that's been in my idea notebook for a WHILE and I haven't gotten to it yet. But this approach seems much more manageable, so I may adjust that plan lol. Claudie, Corinne, and #4 definitely overlap ;-) I laughed and said to Grace, "Should I tell him he picked the wrong Joss mold?" lmao (I stan Joss). It would be cool to see a collage of all the dolls you have of a given face mold so that we could see who your favorites "beat out" (if you do this again in the future).

@@DisBlaine It's not even that (though I do generally dislike the bottom painted lashes). It's the eyebrows! I don't like the eyebrows they have given every single other Joss mold. I'm just biding my time until they finally decide to give Joss molds different eyebrows. Until the, every one that comes into our home is a Grace purchase lol.

Great video! Kaya was my first AG, and I also loved her because of the closed mouth. It took me a really long time to warm up to the open-mouth face molds (in any doll line, not just AG). Every time I see a Claudie I think how pretty she is, and she may have to be my next purchase.

Haha yes those 2 front teeth are jarring until you get used to them! Like where are the rest of their teeth? Are they babies? Claudie is a must have, for sure. I only learned recently that her dark brown decal eyes are exclusive to her, Samantha, and Ivy. I couldn’t figure out why they have more of a sparkle to them. (Figuratively not literally)

Thank you for sharing your favourite face sculpts. We are all allowed our preferences for our own reasons. It was fun to hear yours and why. My list would be different. Maybe I should do a version of this video. I love Kaya too😊

It’s so true. I will say that we do agree on Claudie. She is my number one face sculpt. Nanea is a close second for me. I just think she has a really gentle and sweet expression. Plus I love Hawaii❤

Nice! I love the diversity and variety of molds with different skin tones and eye colors. The only ones I don’t have in my collection are #4, Makena, and Claudie

The diversity might’ve been a fluke. I tend to prefer dolls with dark hair and dark eyes. I managed to sneak in a few lighter haired / eyed ones and didn’t even notice 🫠

I live Maritza as well. She’s my current favorite along with 122 who is also a Joss mold. My other favorite molds are Sonali and Josefina (I know that they have wonky eyes, but I just love the mold).

I have all the Joss mold dolls because it was my favourite for the longest time - but I can’t believe I didn’t say the name of the sculpt. I think I made it sound like it’s a Maritza sculpt. Oops! But you’re right, latey Sonali has uneven eyes (I use double tape to keep my Deepika / Jasmine dolls eyes more even). But she’s pretty enough I look past it 🤪

Maritza’s face mold, to me, has a mature / pre-teen look. I feel that's why she probably sold out so quickly. She is one I regret, I let get away. Beautiful face mold collection, by the way. 😊

I just love the calm conversational nature of your vids! I never even mind if they’re longer 😅 Been a casual collector since I was a little girl but here I’m delving into “social” collecting and it’s starting to get me in trouble for the first time lol. I’m trying to decide between Kavi or TM125 over on Amazon because I’ve got a gift card and you are doing a good job helping me out. I’m not up on the molds yet and now I’m leaning because I already have two MG molds. Decisions decisions… 😊

Oh! I showed both those in this video! Cool! I would probably lean toward Kavi for a few reasons. 1) She has a complete outfit instead of a shirt-dress and basic shoes. 2) It’s safer to buy a MG mold doll online because Josephina dolls tend to have wonky eyes. 3) Kavi was the 2023 girl of the year, so 125 will be around longer from this point. But they’re both gorgeous, so I hope you can get them both one day! Wait… is this what you meant by social collecting is starting to get you in trouble? We’re such bad influences on each other 😆 It’s funny you mention my longer videos-in the beginning I was in such a rush, and people kept telling me to slow down, that they prefer a longer watch. I haven’t really slowed down. But I definitely ramble even more now lol.

Let's be honest, the two will both be in my collection eventually,, but Kavi is headed my way on Monday. YAYY!

I love Maritza and have her, I have never had problems with the Joss mold so I am so lucky all eyes are good, I did have a problem with the Kavi mold and had to send her back, and I love what you did to Jazmin. That artistic eye of yours saw the potential and now I am reconsidering her. I already have those outfits too. I think they have a few at my store. I have to think on that one. Meanwhile I am going down to the store to get Julies re-issued pant suit outfit. Thank you!

I’m lucky to have all the Joss dolls (I forgot to say the name of the mold in my video 🙈) and I’ve never had issues with her either. I was able to buy Kavi in store, and there were definitely dolls I liked more than others! I forgot about that. Thank you RE Jasmine! I don’t think I could love another doll more. Claudie is still my favourite character / doll… but Deepika is my favourite doll-doll. Look, this is my way of coming up with multiple number 1 favorites 🤣

Great video! It's fun to learn which molds are people's favourites and which dolls they feel best represents it for them. My favourite molds are Addy and Claudie, hands down, but I also do really like the Joss mold, even if I think Joss herself looks very different from all the other dolls that share her mold. I think my least favourite is the Josefina mold, even though it is quite beautiful; it's just exhausting having to carefully look at each doll to figure out if you're getting one with decent eyes. Wonderfully, though, AG doesn't have a single mold that I actively dislike. Loved this overview, and really looking forward to when you do the videos of all your dolls of a single mold type! That'll be a really interesting series, I think.

Those Josephina eyes right??? Ugh! She’s so beautiful otherwise but that’s exactly the problem. It’s exhausting. But then it’s also magical when you get / find a good one. Yeah Joss having no painted lashes does make her look totally different. I forgot to say her name in the video! I made it sound like it’s the Maritza mold 🥴 Addy has grown on me so much these past few months. But I do tend to like everything, so that’s not too shocking

My favorite is #4, but I don't have it, so I've decided to put up with it and have Corinne as my favorite😁 Next in my list are Addy, Kaya, Joss, Josefina and Classic. The molds I don't connect with are Sonaly, Nanea and Jess. My attitude to other molds is more or less neutral. I love the Maplelea outfits on your dolls! 😍👍

Don’t lose hope on TM4! When she caught my eye, I changed my mind after looking at the prices ☠️ Then one day she showed up locally at a ridiculous price - until the seller dropped it by half! So you never know. Corrine is so beautiful! I hope we see more dolls of that mold someday. Do you have none of the dolls whose molds you don’t connect with?

Nice video! Sometimes I wonder about myself. 🤔 When I saw your video of all your dolls, I thought it was Maryellen in the scene with the cherry outfit on. I couldn’t figure out how you got those adorable little tendrils by her face, peeping out of the checkered headscarf. I was thinking about asking you, convinced you were some sort of hair wizard. Now I see it’s not Maryellen in the first place. Did the much shorter pig tails clue me in? No! Thanks for solving this mystery for me, even if it was inadvertently. 😂❤

You know, now that you mention it, their colouring is very similar! I’m sure I realized that at some point and then forgot. Maryellen has the rounder eyes unfortunately. Or maybe that’s something I’m more sensitive to noticing 🤪

Love your videos! Sculpt is actually the correct term so don’t worry too much about forcing yourself to say mold lol. It’s just a term that many have picked up. Either term is acceptable though:)

Exactly! That’s why it’s so hard to call it a mold within the AG community 😆 I always mess it up in my AG videos, but this was one time I wanted to get it right. That’s probably why I messed it up more than usual lol!!!

You struggle with words, minor detail, I can't even make a video. "Speaking english" in my head sounds normal, in real life and on camera was terrible. 😂😅 But you might be right, I would pass put 😂 Love it anyway😁👍

This was a really good idea for a video. I loved seeing your favorites of each moulde. I think your top two mouldes are also my top two! I have to say, I'm one of those who's bothered by AG using Kaya's moulde for boy dolls. (Sorry for my coming rant, it's just my own opinion.) As you said, kids look like kids. So there was no need to make all the boy dolls look distinctly different. It feels highly influenced by the same stereotypes (or... dare I say... sexism) that say dolls are just for girls. Also, Kaya has a closed mouth for a very important reason, and she's special because of it. It would have been fine to make a few more dolls with that moulde, both boy and girl. But making all the boys have closed mouths is just... so lame. It kind of ruins the effort they put in. Maybe they did it specifically because there were so many custom AG boy dolls already. I really think it was influenced by the other thing, though.

Definitely no need to apologize for a rant lol! Lots of collectors feel the way you do, and it’s of course valid. I didn’t want to get toooo deep into the controversy (especially that it lends to a stereotype that certain beauty is considered masculine) because I’m not the right person to speak to it. But I do love hearing other people’s perspectives. It’s always something to consider.

Corrine is Chinese-American not biracial! Both of her parents are of Chinese background in the books!

@@fatimaazam6108 I just got my PC Addy on last weekend! But I haven’t uploaded the video yet (I’m a little backlogged in vids right now!). Eye swapping is actually really hard. I was definitely nervous about messing up the dolls when I first did it, but it was my Tiana custom, which was a MUST to do right. I didn’t know how painful it would be tho! I can only do then every once in a while because my hands have to heal afterward 🤕
