I just realized that, from all the play throughs I've seen of this game, nobody said from the start that Ethan was different. He literally got half his hand bit off from a monster yet didn't turn into one of them. Leonardo just got scratched and he turned within a few minutes of Ethan finding him.

I was honestly thinking the same thing. When Leonardo got scratched and turned, in my head I was like, "But Ethan got bit. Why didn't he turn as well?" I guess the ending makes sense as to why he didn't turn at all. Everything has a purpose I guess ^.^
