My FAILED Interview with David Ellefson & Concert Recap 2024

Музыка

I went to see David Ellefson live in concert in Kolin, Czech Republic 2024 and had booked an interview with him before his concert which is part of his Bass Warrior 2024 tour. Long story short, my interview failed miserably. David Ellefson, a founding member of Megadeth alongside Dave Mustane, was always my hero and idol when he was the bass player of Megadeth so I was very excited to meet him and to talk to him in person. But as they say, never meet your heroes!
Dave Ellefson is touring his Bass Warrior tour 2024 in Europe with Andy Martongelli, Walter Cianciusio, Roberto Pirami and Titta Tani

@@metalandrockzone Yeah, I had a beer with Paul and Blaze. They were both down to earth and friendly. Paul kept raging about how much he hated Bruce Dickinson and said that when he was in prison Bruce had contacted his wife and there was some suggestion he had hit on her. He kept saying "I'm not a fuckin' opera singer, I'm a punk". It was very entertaining. But he was very gracious to us fans and signed all my old Maiden vinyl.

Man that sucks for you!!! Lesson i learned a long time ago with one off situations is redundancy. Always have a back up! In this case, set your main camera up for the interview, then just set your phone to go as well so you have something if it fails!!! Interesting that you got that performance of Hallowed be thy Name. Machine Head covered this 2 nights ago in Melbourne and it killed :D Have it on my channel though sound isn't the best. Bass is a bit blown out. Great vid as always though man! Take it easy and hope you get some more interviews like Dave in the future :D

@@metalandrockzone Honestly i was predominantly at the gig for Fear Factory who were the support, but MH were really good and really engaging. And as i said, their cover of Maiden was excellent. I think they are a band that has greatly improved over the decades, and have reworked a lot of older songs to be more timeless metal songs than kinda bad 90's nu-metal lol

Geniální koncert. Super zvuk! Skvělá show! Perfektní lidi a muzikanti s absolutně vstřícným a lidským přístupem. Andrea Martongelli a David Ellefson jsou excelentní hráči. ❤ Bůh a spol. v Kolíně. I hate do all by myself, especially the drum parts, who cares who's payin' for fuel while you've got signature guitars in the Benz truck? What do I know? It's like Sammy Hagar has a brighter career without 'Now and Zen' since 'Bad Habits' had that long resonance. What about Izzy Stradlin instead, the guy is more affordable than the Irons?! I don't know. Dream Theater had that japanese guy, instead, Satriani, Petrucci & Co. uh? All of these guy will never take 812 and 1984 off me like dutch tape over the stupid Korg M1. Not because of some cigarettes book I felt asleep with, I don't think of living at Tokyo, I think of surviving EF touristas, even if with nicer tits than mines. Namastè.

Yes I was Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth and then Anthrax lightyears behind. I felt that when Metallica and Slayer faded then Megadeth still were able to make good stuff. But all these bands are so different it is hard to compare. And then I saw Anthrax deliver a great show some 4-5 years ago and was very impressed. Thanks for watching.
