No doctor can override God's time line. You're not dying until he says it's time, period. My husband survived a heart attack that should have been fatal and then he went to sleep. The doctor told us. "I can't explain why you ever woke up from that, it was a miracle from God is all I can tell you." You got your miracle too. Thanks for giving hope to others.

I just cry every time I hear this story...it's identical to my deceased son. They said "maybe a year....if you're lucky" He has a child that turned 18 one month before his death. I have custody of my grandson and he is depressed but hanging on. I say this to reiterate what LD is saying. My son, Ron, lasted a year and half but gave up half way through because he had it with Dr's. He was to get a liver biopsy and a groin biopsy...but he blew it off. He blew off blood work, and more. Listen to LD. He knows the ropes. I pray every day for him, that God will keep him going so he can be that light up on a hill! LD YOUR STORY, THO SAD, IS BRINGING HOPE TO MANY.

While I understand that I have to say in my father and step fathers cases it was useful for them - they were able to get their affairs in order - gave them time to discuss last wishes and funeral arrangements - promoted family from afar to reconnect. I would want to know my prognosis if I was terminally ill - with the caveat that ofcourse they can’t pin it down and things can change - doctors usually acknowledge this when giving prognosis. Prognosis can be very useful and helpful, but are never fact.

Hi there, I only found your channel today and have been watching some of your videos. I love your honesty. I have been drinking to excess for at least 35 years, the last 20 years have been mostly daily drinking. The longest stretch I have been sober in these 35 years is 104 days, this was around 10 years ago. I wish I had never looked back. I have had the occasional week off here and there but if I take one drink it all goes horribly wrong for months or even years at a time. I am on day 2. I have subscribed to your channel and intend catching up with your full story. I truly wish you and everyone here all the best. Thank you for sharing your journey, you have inspired me.

My kids, my kids kept running in my mind, over and over. My kid with cerebral palsy..needs me my son. It was hard lik u LD, I said to myself "get up kelly, u can fight this diease. " Slowly day by day I got out the house started to walk. Its just lik baby steps. I was gìven 2 years. Its just a number. Thank God, we have a new day and a new beginning. Hey G, Your video was so powerful. I can't even imagine. In 2016 I went to the ER for a cough I had for 3 weeks. It hurt when I breathe in in my back. Thank God I was living with my dad taking care of him . I said Dad I'm having trouble. I remember us driving to the ER. When I got there I had a hundred and six fever. My lungs were so infected. They took me right in and put a 2 ft in my neck. I remember screaming and then taking my dad out. After that I don't remember anything for 2 months. They told my family I was on the brink of dying. I feel glad that I didn't know any of that. What you went through being aware of your destiny I can't even imagine. We are both here for a reason I love you and what you have done for me❤❤❤

Our old area is swampy. We get mosquitoes, yellowflies, horseflies, ticks, and gnats. I hate Carolina Bugs. I can't imagine man the sress, fear and hopelessness of what the doctors said. You are keeping yourself healthy. I ran into a rough spot, which you might have seen, but I am glad you are still around. I don't like being newly sober again, but at least it is sobriety. I'll look at this six months from now and I am sure I'll feel even better. I admire you and think you are really doing well. Great video!

That was really quite a story! Once again, we're all glad you're here and doing better now, and that the doctor's initial prognosis was wrong. I've seen many people go on living for many years or even decades after being told by doctors that they don't have much time left. I think mental strength is what keeps them going, and its what keeps you going as well. You want to be strong for your wife and kids so that you can continue to be in their lives for as long as possible. Oh and you're right about health being the most important thing in life. Without your health, no amount of money or material possessions will matter. Live your life, take care of yourself and loved ones, and just hope for the best because it's all you can really do in this life! Thanks LD and God bless! ❤

I am a certified nurse. What , I learned over the years, is, that you never, ever give a prediction to people. I've seen it all. Give them a year, they die in a month. Give them a month and they could recover. Who am I, to hand out timing sheets? Not my job. At all. Although, I get that " I nwant to know" - part. Dont we all want to know? Fact is, I want to get old, but if thats my fate, I could have a stroke, or accident tomorow and die. Nobody knows , what time we have. Therefore use it wisely, if possible, we never know. ( L.D. Just to add , to the power, you have , my friend. To not drink, after that horrible diagnosis , takes some very hairy balls. Cudos, to that)

They can't tell from one person from the next. If you do the research, it says 2 to 12 years and some go 15 years if you have no other underlying health issues? My Dr. G.I. doc said that you can not heal the scars. Adventually the scars become too much and the liver ca t function correctly and begins to shut down. I too am living with cirrhosis, without a transplant or a miracle from God, we will Adventually die from the cirrhosis and we are at a much greater threat for liver or pancreas cancer. It is sad, no one wants to face the end of our life. I'm 64, and I still want more years. I just pray and ask the Lord for help. I'm sorry for your pain and heartache 💔

My nephew has been drinking vodka since he was 15 or so. He's not quite 40 now and he's received a pancreas stent, in and out the hospital monthly and STILL continues to drink. His pancreas is digesting itself and he won't stop. Unbelievable. Past two hospital trips is because of blood in stool and nausea and vomiting, along with fluid in his abdomen. He's still in denial even after several rehab attempts and he's still drinking.

I was diagnosed with hepatitis b it all started with an headache that never goes away, went on to have my blood pressure checked and it was up there so I was placed on BP drugs but the headache wasn’t going away Fast forward to few months later where I went for my regular check and discovered I had hepatitis B constant sweats, difficulty breathing, sometimes chest pain, and even in high temperature, joint pain..But I started using an herbal medicine that consists of Garlic but don’t know the complete mixture as it was delivered by someone I consider an helper..Well fast forward to now most of the symptoms has dissapeared like the cold, joint aches, headaches and itchiness but I’m still having difficulty passing out stool and simple pain on my abdomen that usually transcends to the right side.. Am I getting better? Or please I need someone’s advice

I’ve been unclear… when symptoms came back that September, you had relapsed? Or the problem came back without alcohol?

It came back without alcohol. I have chronic pancreatitis, I found that out when I went in September. Thank you! God bless❤❤❤❤

You’re 44 years old?! You look AT LEAST 10 years younger! And that is after all that severe alcohol abuse.
