My Experience As A Teen In A Gang
Today on Unfiltered Stories, our guest Shanta Scott shares her true life story with us. Coming from a broken home, Shanta had to drop out of school. Then, she joined a gang as a teenage girl, which brought many horrendous experiences. She had to endure a lot, especially since the gang she was a member of had a lot of rival gangs. But when she turned 19 she was able to turn her life for the better and now uses her story to inspire others.

Your mother should have been put in prison as well; she condoned the abuse, didn’t report a crime, neglected her children/placed them in danger, and in fact facilitated it by keeping him with you. All your siblings should also have been removed from the home. There should be a way to give an order that your father, and in fact even your mother, can’t ever return to the home with their kids or anyone else’s kids.

I never wanted to go to therapy and I was kind of forced into it and now I think it's the greatest thing I've been doing it for like 3 years. No one actually prys, you just talk/rant/flip out if you want, and no one tells you you're wrong for feeling that way!

Your MOTHER and FATHER let you down tremendously! I really hate that some people are able to have kids because they make the worse parents.

This was very informative. I lived in an area where the police would to anything to protect every citizen, if you had a problem you could easily get help from a neighbor, and everybody noticed if you were feeling down. This helped me see a little bit of how the world is for those who live a life where the police are so unhelpful, people turn to crime both to get by and for fun
