My Entire Bass Collection (big update)
Музыка
Over the years I’ve featured just about every type of bass guitar imaginable in my KZread videos - I have some amazing instruments and I’m lucky to have them, but which one is my fave?
I get a ton of questions asking about the different basses that I play, and so I decided it was high time I made a new video showing you my collection to date.
And so, for your pleasure, I present some of my all-time favourite bass guitars!
As always, see you in the shed…
Scott :)

True That... He's come a long way (on media sites wise) since those early videos that I also watched & it's great to see him doing so well... In light of the still ongoing coronavirus stay safe and healthy wherever you are in the world... All The Best... .....

@@ixa-3140 Scott was also like that when he started out on KZread as he always strived to put up as much educational content up on KZread as he could... Then after a year's of doing this he decided to get his own educational website up & running outwith KZread & as he has always said " It's All about The Bass " Apart from enjoying & admiring the way he went about constructing his KZread Videos/which was his early attempt of everything you'll see on KZread & then his Website, I've always liked Scott for his honesty & that's a rare commodity on KZread & then also on his Own Official Website... No airs or graces, just getting down to putting out great overall content for intermediate, beginner & advanced player's, all the while trying different approaches, but above all making it Educational in ways that it is easy for beginners to get to grips with but above making it Enjoyable also... As what's the point of playing an instrument if your not having fun also... All The Best... And keep on playing as we need the youth of today to keep on learning & playing & then passing this on to the next generation so that these instruments & music in general doesn't wither away into nothing worth investing one's time in... As that's what i've always strived to do when replying to comments here on KZread as it's easy to run someone down but that's not my style & even if said person is playing in any genres I'm not that keen on or I find they are being rude, I still try to give them positive feedback because as long as they are playing I can take a few blows for the team & it's overall goal of taking music & learning instruments forward, rather than just sit back watch it's demise... .....

Love that Fender P- Bass . Fodera on Boutique End of things. FBass are wicked nice as well. I just love them. Like Box Crayons. Depends on the Color of Sound you choose. Nice Video.
"Here is this bass by Sire, I don't know what it does" ok
I would take the Stenback just to never have to unscrew the back panel ever again.

Can’t believe it’s been 4 years since the first video came out. I finally got a bass of my own, and you’ve been a really big inspiration and have showed me how badass playing a bass really is. Keep up your hard work I love your videos 👍🏼👌🏼
For me, its a tough call between Ken Smith, Matt garrison and f-bass fretless.. I think if I had to choose one it would be the Ken Smith, what a fenomenally cool bass!
I LOVE that your "P-Bass of Doom" has a switched out neck. Fender Mix n' Match necks are the quickest homebrew alchemy there is. 🙂
That BNF has one of the most ergonomic bodies I've ever seen. I wouldn't want a fretless, but that's a beautiful bass.
Which bass do you like the most? “Yes”
The Ken Smith. I have two of them and they are the best basses I've every played, hands down.

No it isn't. It's an over-used cliche.
Ken Smith all the way for me! That is my dream bass right there. Wanted a Ken Smith ever since I saw Massive Attack live in 1998.
The Ken Smith would have to be the one ☝🏾 it’s a classic with amazing tone
I fell in love with the tone on that Matt Garrison Fodera when I watched the "I got it back" video. I'm seeing bass after bass that I would love to have, but the Fodera is the one I would pick. That first F bass is a close second.
That Fodera bass stood out, the sound was beautiful! (and the little jazzy bit you played on it helped!) Very nice!
Oh man, that FBass is fantastic. When you played, i melted. And she is beautiful. The FBass is my favorite and then the custom red and white Fender P bass. Keep safe Scott!
I've always loved your two-tone F Bass. Such a great sound. It looks awesome and seems easy to maneuver on the fretboard. That's my favorite bass you own. Cheers!
I think for me the Ken Smith bass stands above the rest of the pack, looks and sounds stellar
Absolutely loved the sound of that fretlesssssss.....
I really enjoyed the look and sound of the Stenback bass! Thank you so much for all of your amazing content! 🤗
Hi Scott, my favourite is the BNF F-bass. Sounds amazing.
Got yourself a new SBL student, Scott finally committed to being with thebSBL family, cant waitnto dig deep.
I was always blown away by the 59 custom shop p bass. It's just the sound of it its really beefy and nice, the looks the fact that is weared off its a treat for me, and in the hands of Scott it really sings.
Finally the post we all have waited for !!
Having to choose one, of course the Overwater signature Jazz 33" scale, followed by the Overwater Signature 5 strings with the High C, but I love your taste choosing instruments Scott.
Scott needs to do a vid were he plays all his basses in 5 minutes

I remember that very last bass used to be the intro for your videos. Such a good sound, especially in that jam session's song. This was AWESOME!!!
I'm slowly working my way into 5 strings, and your signature sounds absolutely heavenly.
That fretless F-bass tho. Good Lord. After that it would have to be the Matt Garrison. You deserve such a sweet collection - you’ve obviously spent years learning to play them so well - and now you’re passing on that knowledge to others. Respect.
Ohhh dude, this Ken Smith would be my choice! Definitely.
I've always loved your Signature bass, such a beautiful instrument.
I couldn't do what you do. Thank you for your passion and work

That fretless f bass or the matt garrison, such beauties and they sound extremely good
Your signature Jazz is the one I would most want, simply because of all the videos I’ve watched with that fantastic, iconic, intro ..
Hi there. Fledgling bassist here. Thank you so much for all of the great content. Very helpful and I especially appreciate your clean fingernails (other beginners utilizing KZread instructional videos understand ha). Your collection is wonderful and quite eclectic.. If I could run off with one, that Marcus Miller sounds and looks gorgeous. I have to go with that. Plus, the kid in me loves all of the knobs, even if I don’t know what they do exactly. My bass is beginner friendly, only two knobs. I picked up a used Johnson [by AXL] at my local guitar shop. I’m quite happy with its rich sound, but I’m definitely looking into Sire for my next addition. 😊
The Marcus Miller just looks and sounds so smooth.

I've loved that Stenback ever since the first time you showed it off.
When I first saw your video about getting your hands back on that Fodera, I've wanted one like it ever since. It looks and sounds absolutely stunning.
The fretless BNF or the Matt Garrison signature I’d choose

I appreciate your modesty Scott.......but I just believe you have like 200 basses.
Man I really like the fretted fbass, its absolutely awesome
The jewel of the crown without doubt is the Ken Smith and Fodera 80’s Bass, cheers Scott from México City
I’ll take any of the p basses
Heads up that is a top of the line Sire V10 in this video. "cheap" is subjective. That one is over $1000
Very beautiful music at the end... I'd like to listen more of that.
Ken Smith Bass with that headstock and the wood and the shape and the tone!!! After that the Fodera - what a piece of sound art!!!
i wish everyone can pick a bass that they will be playing hahhaha

love it, not got a bass yet but love the content - epic Scott, well done
Been waiting a long time for this good Sir🙂🙂🙂 Who in their right mind dislikes this sweet stuff? Awesome awesome awesome
That BNF Fretless is one of the most stunning instruments I've ever seen, so it'd be the one I'd choose, but it was a difficult question you asked there. Just a killin' bass collection all round
Beautiful collection. The Moollon with the Fender neck is really cool.
that stenback sounds amazing. especially whatever setting you're on at 7:10
Appreciate the walk thru. Recently heard a recording using an F Bass, probably DI. Awesome sound plus your comments are a convincing endorsement.
I'd absolutely LOVE that fretless F bass.. I'm a total fretless guy, love the Pino sound and Jaco is one of my faves, and that bass was just a thing of beauty.
The signature 5 stringed! Soooo beautiful!!
The fender relic p bass is just gorgeous. That would be my pick. Great video as always.
The bnf.. Just so smooth
The Sire is actually my favorite of those. That’s the one I want. But they are all just amazing!!
The one i like most is that ken smith vinny fodera thing. When i saw that on your channel i fell in love, love the little puppets on the tuning pegs too
I would LOVE a bass from Overwater. Beautiful look and sound, and most importantly the people of Overwater just seem super passionate and talented. You can always tell an instrument made with love!
Love that BNF fretless! Beautiful tone!!
The Overwater 33” has such a great look and sound.
I am in love with that Matt garrison signature. Omg
Was hoping for this video would come out 😊
Like the Ken Smith, especially the frog, but probably my favorite is the Overwater signature 5 - such a sweet tone!
Ufff great collection! The Jazz Basses are great! That Sire is 🔥
I do love your fodera bass. The shape is absolutely beautiful!
I would definitely go with the Ken Smith, the tone is fantastic 😍
I love the 33” scale Overwater jazz. sounds great ;)
The relic Fender is still "it" for me. Love your videos - keep them coming! :-)
The Overwater jazz bass sounds so awesome as well
The Fodera; the story behind it and it sounds great even through a smart phone speaker! Beautiful, punch without pain, silky smooth!
That Sire is beautiful!
The Ken Smith. I love the frog as a tuner button. Too cool.
Absolutely love the sire bass, love it must have
I totally love the sound of the Fodera!
I would definitely pick that Matt Garrison signature, it looks and sounds gorgeoussss
The overwater jazz bass at the end is the best
Thanks for telling us about Sire. That just might be my step up from my absolute beginner Squier.
They all sound awesome, but that Stenback is killer. My favorite tone of yours.
Stenback sounds awesome👍👍👍
Love the Stenback tone. Don’t mind the Ken Smith too. Nice collection! ♥️🎶😍
I am digging the Stenback. always have been partial to that style of bass and tune. Thank you
Stenback!!!! seems super cool!
For whatever reason, that white Stenback bass really spoke to me. And yeah, I really dig your P Bass of Doom! Fun video. :)
I absolutely love that Stenback
Top show as always Scott. I'd have the Fbass fretless, sounds amazing. Stay safe everyone.
The custom fodera has a magical tone and the sire is amazing
I love the look and sound of that relic p bass. A precision with flats is my desert island bass. Gets me through a gig 9/10 times..
I love the Overwater Scott Devine Jazzbass since the first video a saw here on youtube 😍 if there would be any chance to play and test it anywhere here in Germany: a dream would come true! Keep on doing your thing Scott, you are awesome and inspiring 💪
Your 5 string sig is stunnin! Not gassed for a bass for ages, then i saw your sig 😍
I love that Sire jazz bass its incredible
