My Dugout Shelter: warm at any time of year with a large window, building from start to finish
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This video has all the episodes about building my dugout. I decided to summarize the history of my shelter with this video. I have a lot to do in my new cabin, and this requires more effort and time. Enjoy watching all of you!

Is it crazy that the sound of such videos helps me sleep better and suite me. Like fire cracklings, wood chopping, winds.

I don't think it's weird at all! When I go to bed I look for a long one so I can just sleep to it. But sometimes there's suddenly really loud chopping that'll wake me up riiiiight as I'm about to fall asleep lol

Thank you for showing me how to build and spend a home all by myself! . When I watched the broadcast, I felt excited as if I was learning how to make my dreams come true! . I pray that many wonderful things will continue to happen in your long life!
Amazing skills
So, Personal Journey, I only had time to watch the fist 45 minutes then skipped to the end - I thoroughly enjoyed every minute I watched, I am old enough to be your grandfather I assume - you are a terrific young man, great job, I am so proud of you, best wishes with your log cabin. I live in a log home love it here in SW Oregon! Keep up the good work!
Great craftsmanship
Brilliant, just brilliant. You have made a _fantastic_ retreat for yourself! Extremely well done job. Thanks for recording all your hard work and skill.
Finally a great channel from Ukraine. Great cabin, bro! Keep up, good luck and take care.
Lots of hard work. But worth it to gain pleasure in the end! Enjoy the peace & quiet. 😎😊

Many congratulations for your inovative homestead. You have a beautiful retreat for all your intensive labor. Thankyou for sharing your video.
Very nicely done! Now how about a water catchment system (e.g. from rain), toilet and bath facilities. I want to see what you can do without modern technology. Hope you'll show us how inventive you are. Can't wait!
Very nice video my friend 🤝

Find it a bit odd, he keeps chopping all that wood, stuffing it into the stove, then leaves the door open all the time. LOVE the build! You have created a paradise. I love the way you gave the birds some food!
bonza effort there fella
Loving the bloopers, to few include them
Приємно спостерігати . Чудова робота
Very well done!! bravo!!
Try digging a pit like that in a British Forest full of the Roots of Oak, Beech, Sycamore, etc; with just a Shovel....
very nice ....
Precioso video. Me encanto y el broche final esa bonita huerta. Desde Tenerife Islas Canarias España 🇪🇦 muchas gracias 🌴🌞👍
Great Job for the shelter! I want to see more improvements like sustaining electricity via solar panels, water via rain dew and farming for food.
You do amazing work you have a beautiful place there congratulations
You did a huge job and I’m proud of you 💚

Big inspiration. Thanks a lot!
Just a note about the door. If something blocks it from the outside, wouldn't it be better if it swung inward.

Bad snow drift could block it.
First time I ever seen someone use dirt as mortar.. good stuff.. learned a lot just watching your videos
Beautiful work. 👍 I watched fascinated and wish I had such craftsmanship. But this was definitely not a German forest. The forestry office, the environmental office, the construction office, the regulatory office, etc. would certainly have spoiled your fun 😉.
As far as someone who is building not one but 2 log cabins by himself and they are incredibly beautiful especially his Newest One is absolutely amazing and beautiful is Shawn from The Self Reliance Channel. His Cabin in Canada is Gorgeous 🥰

great video. Thank you
I have been watching this far after he fixed eggs and beans. Ex military, survivalist, in 20'S. I am 77 yes young grandmother. I am worn out watching, but, such determination. Concentration. Hope ge puts cap on flu. Still watching. Uh, I would have to have some heavy duty protection. Hopefully will tell where at....😊
Desde la República Dominicana 🇩🇴 te apoyo 🎉
A great shelter
very nice work
Wow, just stumbled upon this - great stuff
😍 So much respect for your hard and amazing hand work,, 🙌 also I enjoyed watching this video with my cat & can tell she payed attention to every move with an impressed eye 😻✨🤍
So ambitious, so much hard work... looks awesome.
You need a dog buddy. Every man in the wilderness needs a good dog to keep him company. That aside that looks great. Love it.

Good build, man! I'm learning
Just wonderful thank you for your time and effort I can already tell you're the best this was very interesting very amazing I am very glad I came across this please make more videos like this health and happiness to you
I was all with you, right up until you tried to hide the chainsaw work. Now I gotta wonder how much of the work was done by other hands.
Door should open inward. A big snow and you can not get out Great build .
Superrr !!! The Best !
Thank you !:)
So, when it rains you end up with a shallow moss roofed pool?
Great job on the video. I've watched several "alone in the wilderness" videos. They seem to follow a pattern. Find site Build Fire Make Tea Develop site more Build fire Make tea Finish dwelling Make Tea Start on porch/overhang Drink tea Build secondary/outdoor fireplace Make tea
Beautiful house i love it ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Очень ярко и хорошо смотрится.
Wow, absolutely brilliant design and execution. I’m watching and thinking I know what you’ll do next but nope! You surprise me with something I didn’t consider. I truly have enjoyed watching this. Are there bears where you are? I kept thinking that you would build shutters for your window. Bear shutters 😀
That ground is way to acidic for most edible plants to grow. Pine equals BAD. Peppers would work.
Good work all my hero Stay safe
If you are going to live there you need coal oil lamps.
I appreciate all the hard work and time put into this. However, I see no advantage to a dugout cabin over a "traditional" above ground one. Quite the opposite actually. Water will be an ongoing problem. You have to dig a hole which is very hard, time consuming and unnecessary. A "traditional cabin" has none of these issues.
I enjoyed till the end. You accomplished a lot. I like your garden.
Great structural design!
I can smell this video. I love it.
you work hard on this, congrats, one question: can you stay focus and don't get bored?
Дуже круто❤
👍👍👏👏👏 magnifique tout ce que vous faite bravo
Great Job
Great job man...!!
I like to see how they build these types of cabins, but I would like to know why they build a part underground?
I just have to say that if that was salt you put on those eggs then your gonna have an extreme case of high blood pressure when you get older lol. That was a ton. 😂😂😂😂😂
Absolutely an amazing job I love these videos and I have to say after watching hundreds of them I would put you at the top of the list congratulations on your well deserved get away spot. I do need to say tho I hope your okay after putting that fist full of salt on your eggs and beans 😂😂 please cut down 😂
you your carbin very solid for long time and under grounds half way that keeps it a lot warmer, very smart thing then standart one cabins
design. very wonderful

You obviously didn't want to write on that channel))
Only a hundred trees and a gallon of fuel for your chainsaw and modern plastic sheeting. It is still a very nice building, but I'm not sure whether it is 'authentic' enough.... you could have just had the lumber delivered or even a log-cabin kit and the effect would be the same.
how are the large horizontal logs ABOVE the ground level held in place? Surely they are just not sitting on the moss from the one below?
Great watching
🫡 amazing bravo
What a funtastic video ❤️👍
Amazingly sandy soil. Here we have so much granite that the builder I worked for sometimes had to hire a blasting company.
Very impressive 👍👍👍👌👌👌🎈🎈🎈
Great Job! Bring a SLED to the cabin!!!
