    By the Wes, this is what happens when you marry eight times out of ten, a woman that’s preferably older over the age of 30+ with all due respect. They’re set in their ways (aka won’t compromise or can be molded. Hence the term bride and groom), and they’re definitely not changing for anyone. Thank God, you didn’t have kids!

    Here's my 2c for what it's worth: She didn't make unreasonable demands. In your video you state these problems: 1. She didn't want you going to bars/clubs 2. She didn't want you going to other churches 3. She didn't want you talking to other girls 4. She didn't want to leave her role in the Church to give you attention 5. Threats 6. Her and her family didn't want to learn other culture/language My objective take: 1. Who would want their spouse going to bars/clubs? 2. Church is an organization. Comparing it to the corporate world - if you were a leader in an organization would you want your spouse supporting the competitor? Appears to be a slap in the face. 3. Would you want your spouse talking/making friends with the opposite sex at the gym? 4. Is it fair to ask someone to give up their passion for someone else's neediness? 5. I get the threat thing. No need for that. Also, the intrusion isn't cool. 6. Unreasonable to expect this if you're a foreigner living in someone else's country. If you met her in the US it would make more sense. At the end of the day all this was told to you upfront. Perhaps you didn't take them seriously when they set expectations? The one thing that could play heavily in your favor would be her virginity. If she wasn't a virgin the strong religious values argument loses its weight. If she was then her positions carry more weight.

    Once Wes said “Being Catholic in Colombia doesn’t mean virgin before marriage “. This is just a day before his marriage. You should watch that video if it is available? It is very complicated story than we can handle if you are an Asian first generation parent in the west . Wes is a very honest person, never hides anything that’s the reason that I have been watching all his videos. Most of the Indian kids lies and pretends that they like their culture and customs. Actually they do this to get financial support for all their life from poor Asian parents who never enjoy their life in the west. They sacrifice all their life for their pretending kids and grandchildren. They believe they do this for higher cost for their children and grandchildren.

    So basically, points 1 to 3 go in her favor whereas points 4 to 6 go in his. There's another one he doesn't mention here but that he discussed in a previous video and it is that she didn't like him to smoke weed and to be honest, I agree with her on that one. What he said in his defense is that she used to spend most of her time at work or at church so he ended up bored at home and that's why he used to to smoke and play video games as he was restricted to go out too. I definitely feel that she prioritized her church over her marriage and she wasn't willing to give up things of her life style once she married but that same thing about not giving up parts of the lifestyle once they married also applies to him.

  • @WheresWes

    @WheresWes

    nah it wasn't all told to me upfront. In the beginning it was about how much Jesus accepted me but as soon as I got married, now it's about how the church will control my life. Unreasonable expectations were placed on me when the same expectations didn't apply to other leaders or people that attended the church. It's the hypocrisy that I could not agree with.

    Wes, very nice heart-felt video where you opened up and cleansed your soul. You seem to be a genuinely good man, who has suffered some pain bcos of the circumstances you’ve found yourself in. Only my opinion, but speaking in general terms, Poland may not be the healing medicine you need right now. The people have been hardened by the former communist regime, and if they didn’t live through it, they were raised by parents who did. You may be more compatible with an Asian or Latin American girl bcos of their warmth that is inherent in their culture. This is not designed to take a cheap shot at the Polish people. They are good people, but bcos of their history they are not initially warm and you have to work very hard to gain a friend. Over to you!

Also, your ex wife didn't seem to have the character to leave the country so even if things had worked out between you two, I don't think she would have been willing to move countries with you even if Colombia is a sinking ship at the moment.

Now I'm dating a traditional Vietnamese girl, religious (I'm personally not very religious but doesn't bother me) , believes in marriage for life, family oriented, great cook, gentle and kind personality, a total one 180 from that Latina chick. This was such a good honest video. The only thing I think in the marriage you didn't understand what it meant to be part of a G12 Colombian church. Born again third world Christians are hard core, the church is your life and most of your time is spent with your church brothers and sisters. Maybe they didn't explain it to you properly the expectations. I still miss my church but I had to leave because I couldn't keep denying that I was gay to myself. Unless you were asking your wife for butt sex or something clearly immoral (like to stop going to church) your wife was supposed to submit to you, if she didn't then she was wrong. I hope you maintain your faith though Wes
