Colombia vs Philippines (Pros and Cons)

I've spent a good amount of time in Colombia and the Philippines and I wanted to give a very detailed comparison between the two countries. I talk about the people, cost of living, infrastructure, culture, dating, and everything you need to know if you're looking to move to either of these countries.

The rest looked more chinita like they say in Philippines, aka more Chinese. This alone with the fact they mostly have Spanish names, count numbers like money in Manila in Spanish, and Catholic definitely felt similar to latin America in Philippines. So Philippines is similar to latin America not because of the Spanish but the native Americans the Spanish brought aka the Aztecs who were brought as slaves and soliders for 300 yrs during Acapulco Manila trade, also most Filipinos have over 1% or more native American blood in DNA tests, due to the Aztecs and Mayans brought by Spanish, over 500k to 1million, as result in Philippines you see corn drinks in Manila like maiz con yelo ,a Mexican Aztec atole corn drink, and Filipinos say Nanay for mother and Tatay for father, from Aztec nahuatl words Nana and Tata, a real influence from the 300 yr Acapulco manila trade. So no matter what your opinion is, Philippines indeed is similar to Mexico and Colombia. I also saw alot Filipinos who looked mestizo aka like Latinos in Manila in general, I have a Mexican friend and ppl would speak Tagalog to him ,they thought he was Filipino. I'm not convinced about the INFRASTRUCTURE comparison... How many MRT Metro railway lines does Bogota have? I guess just 1. Metro Manila has LRT 1, 2, MRT 3, 7, the incoming Metro Manila Full Subway, Makati Subway, and LRT 1A Manila to Cavite, not to include the existing commuter railway PNR Lines inside Metro Manila and the incoming PNR Manila to Clark. How many elevated tollways are inside Bogota? I guess there is none? Metro Manila has 3 elevated tollways inside Skyways 1, 2, and 3 with a total of 40 km elevated tollways plus the incoming extension all the way to the new airport in Bulacan, not to include the 2 ground tollways entry point to Metro Manila the NLEX and SLEX tollways. Re TRAFFIC here, I'll tell you the real reason why. You need to understand that Metro Manila has a population of 14.4 Million, it is like double the size of Metro Bogota, and in a day-to-day scenario another 6 Million people from suburbs of Metro Manila are working and going inside the Metro, therefore you have a huge number of commuters and vehicles coming in and out to the Metro. I don't think any megacities in the world would have this problem with that 8 - 10 Million moving commuters a day in a not-so-huge land area of Metro Manila....

Even the prices or tickets of BRTs or MRTs. Or commuting options. Anyway, here are the rates: MRT tickets in Metro Manila start at Php15, the farthest station at Php33 (below $1), almost the same price for the BRT tickets (EDSA Carousel), City Ferry here in Manila is FREE crossing Pasig River. The thing that turned me off about the Philippines is that foreigners can't own land, businesses outright, and at best, you get a residency permit. Even with the condo ownership that's allowed, it's still some restrictions to that. Also , I was able to speak Spanish, which allows me to see different sides of a country.

One major thing you need to consider regarding the women is that even if Columbian women are more beautiful, they're much more feminist and therefore only open to small age gaps, that's why it can seem great for guys in their 20s or early 30s, but for guys in their late 30s or early 40s, they could get a Philipina who's only 21 so even if she's not quite as stunning be some traditional standards, her being young, innoncent, not a raging feminist and capable of a stable relationship, that would make her much more attractive to many men!!!

I liked the Philippines because I like eating and in the Philippines there was ALWAYS an a BIG ABUNDANCE of food there. And my filipino/filipina friends are similar to me when it comes to eating. I didn't say it, THE Y did lol 🤣. So, for me the Philippines is a no-brainer lol 🤣. I LOVE the Philippines!!

@@WheresWes yes bingo, Philippines was cheaper and ppl friendlier, but Colombia ppl are more party vibe and fun, it really is tough Wes, I can't decide which I like more since I felt overall both are just as good, Colombia only has the more fun vibe and closer destination as advantages, Philippines wins in value, but then again sometimes value isn't everything,so Colombia can be worth the security risks and slightly higher prices

Yes they are super sweet and traditional but jist not sexy like colombian women. Idk, i just felt so disconnected and depressed there but i am puerto rican so colombia is more famaliar to what i grew up with (in south florida hehe) and i got tired of the outright staring that I would get just walking my dog down the street in the Philippines and I know they will Gringo price you in Colombia but they were just so blatant about it in the Philippines specifically Dumaguete
