The Disgaea series is definitely one of my favorite series ever Dood I’ve probably spent most time W/ D2 the most and D4 the least

I currently have Disgaea 1 for PS2, PSP, and just resently bought D1 Complete for the Switch, Disgaea 2 for PS2 and PSP, Disgaea 3, 4 and D2 for PS3 and Disgaea 5 for PS4. I bought Disgaea D2 off of ebay which came with the Disgaea D2 soundtrack.

Nice collection! I have a bit of a Disgaea shrine, but only a few special editions and no imports (and I didn't get a soundtrack with my copy of the Disgaea 4 LE :/). I just got the Rosen Queen editon of D1 on the switch and it's pretty great, I recommend it for your collection. In terms of stand alone Disgaea art books, I have one called 'The World Of Disgaea' which is a collection of Character designs for the first game, and you can get it pretty cheap used on Amazon. Also, unless I misunderstood , my Non-Greatest Hits copy of Disgaea is on DVD and not CD, so I'm not sure if that was a region issue, or not. Sorry to talk your ear off, nobody I know likes this game so it's rare I get to talk about it (I have a Laharl Tattoo on my arm and nobody knows who the Netherworld he is!)!

Disagea 4 is my first ever playing one and I got into it of the anime

Ah ha! That's why I dropped Disgaea! I had the original version and my ps2 stopped reading CDs at some point. I couldn't remember for the life of me what caused me to not get into the series when that trailer on the PlayStation magazine demo disc had me so hyped for it.

The original North American version of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness was pressed on a DVD not on CD in North America. The only ones I do not have are 2 of the PSP games I do have Disgaea: Infinite which is more like an interactive novel and I don't have Disgaea 5 for the Switch because I do not own a Switch. Anyhow good video and neat stuff.

Just a heads-up: There are fantastic high-quality guides by Doublejump Books for Disgaea, Disgaea 2 and Disgaea 3 which should be in every Disgaea collection. The last two are in book format and have 640 pages and 360 pages, respectively.

PSP is for nothing to get some specials about, but instead, forgotten things and contents never been seen on the WEST is actually covered all in one from PC Definitive Edition ports.

I have zero limited editions ^^' ... my Disgaea collection comes down to one figure of Pleinair (this even count?), a little figure of Prier and other of Laharl ... and those same two artbooks ^^ (I love them)

I only have D3, I really wanna play the other games so I’m kinda hoping the disgaea series all gets ported to PC/ a newer console edit: ok I just remembered I have d5 but I never finished it due to not being able to play my ps4 for nearly 5 months. I have a preowned version of the LE, I don’t know how I got it because we just saw it at GameStop and got it, but I have the artbook which is pretty cool I guess.

This channel inspired me to try out Disgaea and I got 5... I didn't like it at all XD. But I also try to get into Neptunia because of YSN and that's a series I've got a ton of fun with.

Sadly not got the limited editions to any Disgaea game bar 1 Complete and even that I bought second hand with a couple of things missing with a discount (got the prinny coasters and Rozen Queen box package which is now my CD holder so I'm still happy with that). I've spent most of my time on Disgaea 2 and 5 and if there's one gripe I have with Disgaea 5 it's the western voices for the DLC characters for Disgaea 2 and some others. Adell, Rozalin, Priere, Pram, Metallia don't have great voice lines in english and I don't see why. They managed to squeeze in "I am a being of solitude" so why couldn't they do the same with Adell's voice lines? Even if they sounded a bit off they would of been better than puking noises. Priere is a bit more controversial given she's never had a consistent voice throughout the Disgaea series.

why does that extra piece of Art from D2 has a Succubus with yellow skin?...is that skin or is that an outfit she has in game?

I'd love to get into this series but I'm not the biggest fan of RPG's with few exceptions like the Persona games and Mother.

iDoujin well lucky for you it’s a strategy rpg so if ya like fire emblem it’s a right up your alley. I’m not too into rpgs but Disgaea still became my most favorite game ever

I've only played the story completely on my first play though

I got nothing against the PSP. I just prefer to play on home consoles if I have the choice. I did play Etna mode on my PSP

disgaea 5 in my opinion

I've tried Disgaea 5 Complete on the Switch and I didn't like it. Immediately, I was showered with some end game characters (or at least extremely strong ones) and with random quests, I guess they are supposed to be DLC. I've played through 4-5 missions, found some red guy, lost track of where or what am I supposed to do and dropped the game. Having to deal with menus upon menus also didn't help much. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I don't know.

unlocking the dlc characters right away isnt a smart idea. and i think the game is extremely linear so the game shows you where to go if you are lost. give it another shot and take your time to learn the basic mechanics

ShadowNetBG to help there is a print you need to talk to who will tell you about the next area spirit intermate. The story is one of the least important parts. The end game is where it is at. Give it another shot

Let me guess you saw some npc in the pocket world in charge Of extra content and you unlocked all the extra content. That’s kind of a bad idea since unless you’ve beat the game or are ready for it it will confuse you since all the levels will have new next to instead of just the one your supposed to go to. You also have to remember that it’s disgaea 5 complete meaning it comes with all the dlc is in it. DLC is usually meant to be played after you beat a game not right when you start the game. What I would do is try waiting till you beat the story before you unlock all the dlc and that will make the menu easier to navigate and keep things simpler without showering you with old character. So if i has to choose I would say yes you did do something wrong since you started playing stories that were meant to be doc first and not the stuff that’s actually supposed to be disgaea 5 So you essentially ate your entire dessert before the actual meal. So in short give it another go but this time don’t unlock all the dlc right away. There is a npc that will ask you if you want to unlock the dlc levels just say no until you beat the story. And remember the levels in the story you haven’t beat will be marked as new and if you have multiple marked as new simply start at the top of the netherworld list scroll down and the first one you hit that has new next to it is probably the one your looking for since it’s prioritized over dlc levels so it will always come before them on the list starting with the first level on the top. Also there is a Prinny in the pocket world in the hallway ln the hallway leading up too seraphinas room who will usually tell you where to go by saying things like the lost is in (insert level name here).

Dapper Parraper yeah but let’s say you played and have nostalgia for the Disgaea 4 or 1 cast and hate the Disgaea 5 cast. Then you can clear the Disgaea 4 dlc pack and use the Disgaea 4 cast to beat the new game... it seems like a good choice in my book to have it right from the start when people were complaining that they diddnt have a point to use their dlc since the story was done

Hol Your Horses afaik, DLC casts need to be defeated first and they usually are lvl 1000+
