Me: Sees comment about it being pretty warm, thinking "Yeah, -5C (25F) is pretty warm, don't even need that many layers" ... then sees comment is about 25C (77F)

I love that most of this video was taken within a one block radius of my apartment hahaha. Also us running through washington square park to keep warm is hilarious. Can't wait to see you both soon when I come home to visit!

I just started learning asl, mainly because I think it’s super pretty and has a way of really expressing. I hope to one day be somewhat decent.😄😅

I noticed something that gave me a question, when on the plane I noticed you wore headphones, is there a reason? Just wondering if it's to protect against cabin pressure or to show people you aren't able to hear them? Love your videos guys! You are so inspiring!

In Dutch we say 'Nederlands Gebarentaal' or 'NGT' (like ASL). NGT has the same origine as French and ASL but in the developed of the last 30 years when really fast so now it is a totally different and own language with 5 dialects (yes small country).

That's cool! I know Libras, the Brazilian Signing Language. I found a lot of similarities between these two (ASL and Libras)!

After the first week of January I've heard is good because everyone is back in school, and September. The idea is to not go when schools are on their vacation. You can go at anytime but if you don't like crowds then this is the best time.

Come to San Leandro (near Oakland and Berkeley, CA!! We live near DCARA. We are a hearing family of seven that knows ASL as our youngest son has autism and apraxia. We chose ASL because SEE was just too much for him. I think we are more PSE except my twins (15 yrs) who are better at ASL grammar than the rest of us. We had a deaf babysitter for my kids and we had deaf roommates. Deaf immersion for the family. It really boosted his language ability and he can voice now but still hard to understand due to Apraxia so we still use signs to give us context. I sim com with him mostly. I just keep signing to keep growing his vocabulary. I give a lot of support to families who have hearing kids that need sign language due to whatever issues they have such tracheostomy, autism, apraxia or Down Syndrome or anything else. So come see us and let the world know that not just the deaf use sign language.

If you two are still up for meeting up, head out to Albuquerque, New Mexico in October for the worlds biggest hot air balloon fiesta. It’s freakin amazing. It’s a bucket list event for a lot of people.

Maybe would you consider visiting a deaf school? Maybe the very first deaf college in the US; Gallaudet? That’d be awesome! My grandparents were high school sweethearts at the (as it used to be called) Minnesota School for the Deaf, in Faribault, Minnesota. Then they went to Gallaudet together, got their teaching license, and after graduation they got hitched. After a year, they decided to move back to Fairbault and became teachers at the same school they first met. ❤️🤟

If you ever come to São Paulo (SP), Brazil let me know. SP is as big as NYC and is the business center of South America. I suggest that you take a trip to Northeast Brazil where there are the best beaches to visit, and the people are really friendly. @Voldemort it does mean self yep! so doing the thumbs up towards a girl would be herself. however it also is just the universal gesture for something positive. good, yes, your welcome, etc have signs for themselves but can also just be expressed with the thumbs up
